We're about to attend our last session of the Inbetweeners course with Bankhouse Barkers and it's been fantastic. Every week we've been taught lots of different games to help us and our dog with a variety of different skills such as recall, walking on a lead and impulse control. Each session is followed up with detailed notes about how to play each game and suggestions of how to develop it and use it in real life. There is also a Facebook group so we've been able to post questions and videos to get advice and support between sessions. Sam and Jess have lots of experience and have always been able to offer an alternative approach if something wasn't quite working for our dog. We've noticed an improvement in our crazy spaniel over the length of the course but more importantly we now have a toolkit of training games that we can continue to use over the next few months. We had a brilliant time - and so did the dogs!

We cannot recommend enough! Our only one regret is not starting the sessions sooner - both ourselves and our 10 month old adolescent pup have learned an incredible amount over the past 6 weeks. Thank you!

I joined Bankhouse Barkers with my young Springer/Collie cross about three years ago and feel very lucky to have found this great club. We have both learnt so much through fantastic guidance and personalised advice. The training is all reward based and the skills we have developed have helped in all manner of day to day life with a lively, lovely family pet. I don't think our journey together would have been such fun, and brought such rewards without this club and the friendly atmosphere it creates. Our Agility progress is an added bonus and something we have only achieved through the encouragement of everyone at the club. Even my 9 year old Springer joins in the fun of the Scent training now! What's not to like? More...

We have been members at Bankhouse Barkers now for about 3 1/2 years. The training we have received has always been brilliant and only rewards based methods are used. What I like most is that its not a one size fits all approach, they always try and make things achievable for all dogs and handlers (regardless of ability). I never thought I'd be able to take one of my dogs to any type of dog class as he is very reactive, but its like he's a different dog at agility. I've also done other classes with both my dogs including scent work, trick training and body awareness (plus many more). The instructors are very knowledgeable, approachable and sometimes absolutely hilarious. If you want to build your relationship with your dog, have a dog you can take anywhere and have a laugh at the same time this is the place to go! More...

We have been members at Bankhouse for 3 and a half years now and have loved every minute of it. Their methods of training are second to non. They make training fun and tailor the classes accordingly to the ability of both the two and four legged students. Their training helps build a strong relationship between dog and handler which also helps in day to day life. They offer extra classes by guest trainers, an array of different workshops and a fabulous social sceneAgility is a wonderful way to bond with your dog and I can't emphasise enough the quality, commitment and dedication of the team at Bankhouse Barkers More...

The training at Bankhouse is brilliant! I remember being nervous when I first started, not knowing what to expect......but joining the club is the best thing I did. The training is always reward based and the trainers manage to create a supportive and friendly environment in which to learn. Me and Bryn (Welsh Terrier) don't have intentions to compete in agility, we just enjoy the time spent together at training. But equally a lot of club members do compete and are very successful! I love agility training as it is a fun activity you can do with your dog. It has helped with her focus and given me activities I can do with her. The trainers are patient, knowledgeable and fun, all the training is reward based, the dog (and the owners) confidence is gradually built up. I love seeing all the different breeds of dog that do agility. A very friendly club. More...

Buddy and I have been members of Bankhouse Barkers for almost 3 years. We started agility training because I felt that Buddy showed promise as a fast and agile dog. We both enjoy our classes and the fact that as well as agility, we get good, all round training, discipline, focus, boundary and this is done in a professional and friendly manner. Many dogs go on to compete in agility in local dog shows and those further a field. If this does not appeal to you, the training is still relevant to everyday life. The members of the club are all friendly and there is a social aspect developing within the club, should this be of interest to you. I have always found that the trainers are very helpful and take an interest in each and every dog (and it's owner). Highly recommended. More...
