Had the biscuit gravy with the works it didn't disappoint! Also the candied bacon and the grits! Nothing I had there was bad. Definitely coming back!
What an incredible place! I am from South Carolina so I know good biscuits and these biscuits were amazing! I had the scratch biscuit with butter and jam and my friend had the sausage biscuit. Both were excellent. The pimento cheese and pepper jam on the sausage biscuit were delicious. And the scratch biscuit was fantastic with the honey butter and jam! More...
Bang Bang is one of my go to spots for a pick me up! Between the pie, coffee and cozy atmosphere, you can't go wrong! The pie selection is regularly switched out so you never get bored with the selection. My absolute favorite is the banana cream pie and the chicken pot pie. More...
These guys are the nicest!! The food & pie are pretty darn yummy too!! A laid back, comfy atmosphere w/nice music that’s just the right volume so you can work & talk if you’d like.
This place is one of the best places for lunch / brunch in the city cuz I can come here get something made from scratch and delicious and they play Aphex twin. Awesome for warm spring & summer days. Cold brew is and they know the difference between cold brew , More...
Had a tasty brunch here. Pie crust and biscuits good. Love the way they prepare and present the eggs. The gravy on one of our dishes was a bit cold, thick and gluey, but everything else good.
The pie did not disappoint. I have to avoid it
Quick service and awesome biscuits! Make sure you get a slice of the honey pie too
Really. Good Biscuits. Ordered the plain biscuits and gravy. Thick. Dense. Flavorful. Bang Bang is a real gem on the North Side. Very easy vibe and an uncomplicated menu. Great pies and a good variety of teas too. Check them out. You'll be glad you did. More...
Think this will be my new go-to breakfast spot - the food & coffee were amazing, service was great & it wasn't overly crowded on a Sunday morning. Definitely recommend the biscuit with avocado. More...
Cant say enough about this place! Always a grand slam! The biscuits and pot pies are out of this world and the pies make for the perfect cure for s sweet tooth. The staff is always welcoming and friendly (but not in a annoying fake way). Love this place! More...
I got the vegan chili pot pie and it was good - nothing extraordinary in my opinion. It wasn't a huge pie but it was enough for me. There's very little seating inside. If you go in the winter you may not find a spot unless you want to sit outside. The food didn't take too long to come out and service was great. More...
My wife and I had breakfast here for the first time today and it won't be our last. We ended up ordering the same thing which is always a bummer to not get to sample a second dish, but had we not, I fear one of us would have had to concede over their breakfast sandwich. Truly One of the best I've ever had. The staff was very kind and the service was stellar, from the host to the coffee porter. The environment is also very inviting and clean (inside and out). Highly recommend. More...
Second time returning to Bang Bang Pie and the hype still lives up to it. Much less seating in the winter unless you want to sit outside in the cold, but the food is still spot on. The Chicken and the Chili Pot Pie are must haves as usual - I think the hot sauce goes so well with them. They might look like a smalls, but both are definitely very hearty and satisfying. We also took the Key lime pie and Chocolate Caramel pie to go because there was no way we could pass those up :)5 stars for service too! Friendly and helpful as usual. More...
Great spot to grab a quick breakfast or brunch! It is a cozy space with only 4 tables but they do have counter/stool seating as well. Food and drinks came out quickly so even though they only have 4 tables you will still find a spot. Was hard to choose between biscuits, grits and a pot pie but ended up with their bacon biscuit. The biscuits were amazing! Light and buttery, which adding bacon, sautéed greens, an egg and house hot sauce made for the perfect breakfast. Had to save room for pie which we had the Key Lime and Maple Bourbon and the crust on both of these made both of these pies. The flavors in both pies really popped showing off their fresh ingredients.Street parking is abundant and they are conveniently located near the California Blue line and several buses. Would definitely come back for more, but will probably wait until summer when their outdoor seating opens up! More...
As a southerner on the hunt for good biscuits, this is by FAR the best place in the city. I've had a lot of their pies and some haven't quite hit the mark for me, but overall it's hard to beat their offerings. I recommend going on beautiful days because the outdoor seating is clutch. More...
My favourite place in all of Chicago right now!! Hands down best chicken pot pie in the world. This place is amazing!
Omg. The best biscuits and grits in the city. HIGHLY recommend if you're in the area. You will not be let down for breakfast.
We went for breakfast and the food was delicious! The decor is awesome too. It doesn't have many of your standard food options, but has awesome pies and biscuits. Would definitely recommend.
Mostly excellent. The pecan pie tasted like they forgot to warm it up or something. But the mint pie was top quality, service was good. Very busy spot, cute atmosphere.
A favorite breakfast spot of mine! Biscuits are always perfect. I usually love their pies, but honey custard is very sweet ( with honey) there were a few fun ones on the menu I’d tried next time.
Their pie is so delicious! I walked in and I didn't know what to get but the cashier there was so friendly and she explained each item and gave me some recommendations. I got a hand pie (creamy kale) and a chocolate strawberry pie. Both were so good. The place is very quaint, loved the atmosphere. Prices were really good too. Check it out if you're in the area! The space is well decorated and the food is well prepared. The food always tastes fresh and is well prepared. As with many good restaurants this place is busy when the 9 to 5ers aren't at work, so be sure to get there early if you're visiting during peak hours.
Bang Bang is one of my favorite places to duck into early on a Saturday morning to fuel up on some delicious biscuits and coffee before heading out for the rest of the day. It’s a charming little shop with a warm, welcoming staff. Seating can be limited during busy hours but get there early and you’ll never have an issue. There’s a variety of biscuit dishes to try- I like the Bacon and the Farmer’s the best! Typically I grab a slice or two of pie to go for dessert after dinner and it’s always wonderful! Showing up with a whole Bang Bang pie at a friend’s house or potluck event will earn you major points too. More...
Key Lime was outstanding. Biscuits also very tasty - I would have loved a heads up that the gravy is spicy, hard on a person with reflux issues. Incredibly friendly and welcoming staff. More...
The breakfast sandwiches are out of this world, but be forewarned: If you order this 'to-go' and they offer utensils, take them. These beasts are intense and not exactly the grab-n-go style you'd expect. (I mean that in the absolute best way.) More...
Stumbled upon Bang Bang accidentally. The place next door had a long wait and we were hungry. It was an awesome surprise. The grits were delicious. A great place to grab a quick bite in a great atmosphere. 10/10 would eat again. More...
This place is delicious, and very vegetarian friendly!! Several menu items can be easily altered and made veggie (not sure about vegan - sorry!). I don’t have kids, but I saw some hanging out with coloring pages and crayons, so the place is definitely family friendly. More...
This was my 1st time there, and I LOVED it!! I tried going to the one on California, but parking was atrocious over there, so I decided to try the one over on Damen to see if I had better luck parking, which I did thankfully. I wish I got the girls name who helped me at the counter, she was very very sweet. I got the sausage biscuit because it's on the "40 sandwiches to try in Chicago before you die" list, & it was great!! I definitely recommend this place it is super cute!! More...
I loved this place because of the kitschy atmosphere, but I would try sticking with the pies and the sweet stuff. They do know their way around a pie and I would ask suggestions otherwise. The people were friendly and helpful. I would go back with my sis any day that carbs and sugars could be ignored. More...
Omg! This place was worth the drive for us! We had a simple biscuit with a side of gravy (and asked for some jam) because I couldn’t decided between sweet or savory. Oh so good!!
Nice little place with strong hipster vibes (alternative sitting, fire place and a shandalire) good food and helpful service. Ordering done from the register but food is waiter to your table. They have great varaity of biscuit and pie (as the name suggest) but I order the soup which was ok (and a pie that was very tasty). More...
Well organized, a little crowded but the biscuits are fluffy and the ingredients are fresh. Hot chocolate was very milky and sweet, light on the chocolate flavor, but the coffee was good and not bitter.
This place was fantastic! A cozy cafe with a great vibe. Presentation of the food was pristine and the taste was even better. Avocado biscuit is a definite favorite of mine. The employees were so kind that when we told them we were splitting our dish between two people they went ahead and brought us two separate plates with the food already decided.
No better place for biscuits & pies. More...
Delicious vegetarian gravy n biscuit. Flavors of sage and fennel. Good coffee, metropolis. Friendly staff. A bit of a loud environment. I'd definitely come back.
