We really loved them at their location by iFly, unfortunately the new location downtown has less convenient hours, closing at two most days, and a very limited selection. I'm not sure what occasioned the downgrade, perhaps it just wasn't turning a profit. Thankfuly, you can still call in an order 24 hours ahead of time, which is good as the tres leches cupcake worth the effort. More...

This bakeshop is one of the best in Austin! Home of the chocolate tres leches cupcake (to die for!), fancy cookies and brownies, cake pops, and beautiful small serving ready to go gourmet cakes. I usually pick up a few pies here around the holidays (apple bourbon was a favorite) as well. Good service and always something new to try! We never go to the Phil's next door without popping in to see what they have that we haven't tried yet. Today it was the smores cookie and we couldn't have gone wrong. LOVE this place. Each day there is a new flavor cupcake, and they are consistently delicious. My favorites are the chocolate and regular Tres Leches cupcakes, but I'm almost always confident in any choice. The only one I would not recommend is anything with the Oreo icing topping- great in theory, but too rich for my taste. I haven't tried any other of their bakery because the cupcakes are so killer that they are the only thing on my brain when I enter the store. My boyfriend introduced me to the "Tres leches chocolate cup cake" and I have to say the best in town! So far this cupcake is divine. I tried several other bakeries. Very disappointing!! We reached out via email (after buying cupcakes for taste testing and fell in love) to have Baked by Amy’s do our daughter’s birthday cake. We emailed back and forth with Shannon and Khaelyn and they were both very professional and you would’ve sworn we were talking to just one person because they were so consistent! My birthday cake (chocolate triple berry tres leches) and assortment of cupcakes were a big hit!! My favorite is the strawberry tres leches but my guests had their own favs from the Oreo, German chocolate, Mexican vanilla etc. I'd recommend getting a great variety of cupcakes to try all flavors but you can't go wrong with any of them. Stopped by after visiting ifly and was pleasantly surprised. The place smelled deliciously sweet and the lady was so nice. BAKED by Amy's did a stellar job on my husband's custom birthday cake! With one week's notice, and just a little inspiration, they designed this fabulous cake themed after our favorite football club - using NO fondant! I think that's probably my favorite part - fondant is beautiful, but doesn't taste so great. It takes true talent to be able to create a masterpiece using only buttercream.
