I searched around for numerous family law attorneys to assist me with a contentious custody case for my daughter. The ordeal started off as a very stressful experience as I imagine it would be in most scenarios. After meeting with Cody Jordan I didn't meet with any additional attorneys. The decision was made to retain him on that same day. The lengthy process was certainly one of the most stressful I have had to go through in my life as nothing is more important to me than being a parent. Cody had a calming demeanor and a very straightforward approach. He was able to educate me in all of my options and assist me in determining what fit my situation best. We hired Cody Jordan in a pinch for a nasty custody situation, and he was wonderful. He's very patient to answer any questions you have about your case, although he honestly is so thorough at explaining everything beforehand. He gives you lots as many options as possible and will give the best advice while staying realistic about the possible outcomes. You never feel like it's all about the money with him, because he's a genuinely good person, who cares about your family. We also love his paralegal, Lillie! She's a very reliable communicator when Cody is unavailable (in court usually) and that's really important! These cases can be extremely stressful, and they make it as stress free as possible. When we met Patricia Barbee, everything was transparent from how the process of our case will be, what are the necessary things we need to do, how long it will probably take (gave the estimates), and the cost. Which all these factors we're really important as we just got married and starting as a couple so we have a tight budget but need this things to be done. She assisted us from our documents, to the process, and until our interview. Everything went smoothly and got the result we wanted. I am giving it a 4 stars as the only thing I wanted to improve in our experience is communication ways (email or text). Given that we don't know how this works, I guess we were expecting more communication to know where we were at that certain time. We end up sending them emails and asking questions as our case went beyond the normal timeline up to the extend that we wanted them to ask question to USCIS itself as it took a little bit longer than we expected. A little bit proactive I guess for our questions was what we've hoped. I know there were times they might now know the exact answers but I at least need a response. But everything else were fine. I have to say I have never hired Leslie Burgoyne at Bailey & Galyen. I have only been a defendant against her. My ex wife is good friends with her, she represents her almost every time. Unethical but then again she is an attorney. THANK GOD my ex wife is as sharp as a bag of rocks. Between Leslie Burgoyne not showing up to court, filing needless and inadmissible garbage ( to increase fees on my ex) I never have to worry about Leslie and my ex wife winning anything! I have won every time! 5 Stars for her being your opponent! Ha! She didn't file the appropriate paperwork for my ex wife, to which did cause some minor problems for me, so I called Mr. Galyen to see why this wasn't done. Hilariously he answered my call with " Hi did you have a problem with one of our attorneys?" I guess that was a common call at Bailey!
