Backstage Music is the perfect mix of high quality instruments, lessons, and supplies combined with the personal touch of a knowledgeable staff that cares. My son needed to learn jazz guitar, and we sought out Backstage for assistance. We are so pleased with the expertise of the staff and their flexibility to meet his busy schedule. He also plays trombone and recently needed a trombone repair with a tight window due to an upcoming performance. The staff beat our deadline with a quick and professional turnaround. We happened upon this small town/mom and pop feel music store looking for a guitar repair. Walked in and immediately were greeted with a friendly and informative staff member. Great place for musicians and students alike. You will find here q great music store with pricing competitive with internet retailers. You will also find an experienced staff there to help with your selection. Beyond instrument sales you will find great music teachers. I have two children studying there and they are the fastest advancing students in their school bands and orchestra. Both kids have developed a love for music and therefore are creative and having fun , and they don't consider practicing a chore. My children are playing songs and learning the music theory behind their instruments, and their school music teachers have consistently extolled their virtues. My children have been studying here for about 7 years. I can say that every single music teacher that they have had are EXCELLENT. Not only do they know their craft , they are all humble , generous & very kind in how they approach teaching. Ms. Jackie who is the manager of the store & school has always steered my children in the direction that was right for them! I think ALL the staff have both a genuine passion for music & it shows! I also think everyone is always so nice & welcoming. Our first teacher at Backstage was Mike for drums. He was awesome . My other son tried a few different instruments before sticking with Clarinet. Ms. Jackie & staff were always supportive & encouragingHe has been studying Clarinet with Nicole for the past 2 years & was just accepted into BAK middle school of the Arts for Band.We are thrilled & my son will continue his weekly music lessons with Ms. Nicole! Have been coming into this store for 3 years. We love the staff!! Nicole is the best when it comes to getting my son to play his trumpet correctly. Patrick is awesome as well. My son added on drum lessons, and is taking lessons with Patrick. Bayleigh and Chris are fantastic too! Melanie is so friendly and helpful. Small store with limited quantities of product. Although if they should run out of a product they are able to re-order any product you may need. The store was out of French Horn Standard Essential books but they were able to order one for us and have it available for pick up the very next day. My wife took in a microphone receiver and needed a new DC jack. The total cost was $64 which was a fair price for the complete job. The input jack is no longer intermittent and working properly.
