I started with coach Matthew back in March 2019. I had gained weight and was the heaviest I have ever been. I was embarrassed how poorly I was eating and exercising. Not to mention the weight gain really hurt my confidence. Since I started working with Matthew, I lost all the weight I had gained in the previous 6 months and hit my weight loss goal. He taught me so many new exercises I never thought I would ever do in my life. When I started with him, I could not do a single push up or pull up and was terrified to do a deadlift. Now I look forward to these exercises! He always gets the best out of me during our workouts. In addition to the exercise component, he also helped me a lot with my diet. I no longer eat sugary cereals for breakfast! Nor do I have urges to binge on things like chocolate! He helped me make a LIFE STYLE change. I would highly reccomend anyone to coach Matthew. He is incredibly knowledgeable in his field, professional and overall just a very kind and caring person. I always feel safe and supported with him. I have had back pain for some time and working with Matthew has really improve my back. He gives very good instructions during the session on how to do the exercise routines properly. If the body posture is not correct, he will be quick to let you know so that you will be doing it right. The routines can be challenging but I find that I see results after each session. He also gives good nutrition advice on how to eat well in order to maintain a healthy body so that I can achieve my goal faster. Matthew is an excellent trainer! Passionate, motivational and optimistic are just a few words that define Coach Matt. Matt has been my trainer since the beginning of February and from the moment I met him he took the time to understand my goals and essentially meet me where I was at both physically and nutritionally. He has helped me to understand that you can’t out train a bad diet and that it is possible for you to feel confident in yourself after having a child. If you are looking to change your life around and be proud of the way that you look and feel about yourself then Coach Matt is definitely the trainer for you. You’ll easily break a sweat and leave each session feeling accomplished and never defeated! He makes each session fun and he definitely pushes you to limits that you never thought you would reach. I never thought i would get past my plateau until i met Matthew! From day one i felt very comfortable with him, and was open to learn more about myself. He taught me a lot about nutrition, and a lot of new workouts i never thought i would be able to do. If i was ever feeling down about myself, he always was there to listen and motivate me to get back on the right track. He is very smart, and knows a lot about nutrition, and a lot about what exercises that will work with your body type. Matthew is a great personal trainer. Matthew's consultation was very eye opening - not only did he inquire about my current lifestyle and goals, he was also able to quickly detect any injuries and bad forms just from the consultation. As a personal trainer, he finds the perfect balance of knowing your limit but being able to push you forward. Matthew is all about form - he ensures that you leave his gym knowing how to effectively and safely work out. I am a 60year old retiree. I usually spend my days doing everything for others- ladies, you know the drill. Somehow, through neglect and thyroid issues, my weight shot up to 200lbs and little things like walking up stairs and weeding left me gasping. I was attracted to the name, “Back to life” and I thought I would try an intro session, fully expecting that I would most likely not continue. Matthew’s approach is amazing! Each activity is designed to engage multiple muscles and he always has a variety of activities- two months later, I have increased strength and energy and have toned up and list inches. I have been working with Matthew since January and I love his approach. He is the most inspirational and motivational trainer I have worked with. He is knowledgeable about the body and choosing the correct exercise. He is reliable, always set up and ready to go with an exercise routine planned. This gym is usually used as a private facility where trainers can take their clients to a personal space to train. Back2Life Fitness provides Personal Training, Boot Camps, and Nutrition Counseling. Although the space isn't very big, it works out if you want your own personal space for training. You won't have to wait for machines and equipment and you will be avoid a packed gym with smelly muscle heads and selfie taking divas. I definitely got my butt kicked at Unionville Fitness. I was here as part of a Yelp fitness event and the owner, Shabiha, was so kind to have set out a boot camp routine for us. We were divided into groups of 4 and there were about 4 stations around the gym. We were to do designated exercises at each station for about 30 seconds, then move on to the next station. We would rest for about 30-60 seconds after one circuit and then repeat. We did push-ups, lunges, shoulder presses, bicep curls, burpies, and a whole lot more. I was sweating pretty hard by the end of it. The gym itself isn't very big but it has plenty of equipment. It's brightly lit and very clean. It's not really a place to just drop by and do your own workout. It offers boot camp classes or one-on-one training. I think it's a great place to start if you're easily intimidated at big name gyms. A gentleman was helping Shabiha during the boot camp class and he kept encouraging everyone, and gave awesome pointers on how to modify an exercise to make it easier or harder.
