Veronica's expert advice, structured approach, and kind heart were a god send. As a new father it was important to me that I'd find the best care for my son. My wife and I needed help/advice when the boy wasn't sleeping more than an hour 24/7 after 6 weeks. We hired Veronica and starting day one it was clear we'd made the right choice. We called Veronica when our son was 9 weeks old and often skips naps and when he sleeps he may wake up 30 minutes to 45 minutes into it needing to be comforted. My wife and I were both sleep deprived and were needing help.Veronica came for an Infant Sleep Coaching Consultation from 3pm to 9pm. She observed our interactions with our son and helped us to put him to sleep. While he slept she also gave us tips and advice based on her extensive experience. The top things we learned from her were: 1) how to coax our son to eat more at each meal so that he can go for longer stretches (we were doing exclusive breastfeeding from the breast so it was difficult previously to figure out how much he was eating; Veronica would say that eating time is business time, and we need to be more assertive with our body language to help our son understand he needs to eat); 2) how to get him drowsy for sleep by patting on the back in an upright position for 10-20 minutes, so that he feels loved and secure and is burped, and also would fall asleep in our arms, so he is easy to put down after that. (Previously we would be in and out of his room many times just to get him to sleep); 3) how to not respond immediately when he wakes up suddenly (though he is fed, changed and burped), but wait a few minutes to help him understand that it's time to sleep; 4) how to swaddle him more tightly than before; 5) how to bathe him more efficiently and help him relax before bed;6) how to hold him in a way so both the baby and we ourselves can relax;7) the importance of keeping lights to a minimum a night, especially in the baby's room.We learned so much in 6 hours and our son has been doing a lot better this week since her visit. I called Veronica on Monday to find a baby nurse for my son's Bris on Wednesday. She was very helpful and informative on the phone and told me about different services she could offer in such a short notice. Due to my limited budget she arranged for a team member to help us during our event. I can't tell you how knowledgable and kind she was. We were referred to Veronica when our son was 3 months old. I was going back to work and he was refusing to take the bottle. He was also still waking up every 3 hours at night to eat. My husband and I were sleep deprived and incredibly stressed out about this new transition. Veronica reassured us that she and her team could not only get him to take the bottle so I wouldn't have to worry about going back to work, but that she could also sleep train him so we could finally get some much needed sleep. Veronica's assistant Yessica initially helped us as a night nurse for the first 2 months. After a full month of struggling to get him to take a bottle(with a different night nurse), Yessica was able to get him to take it on her first night. She was very professional and took great care of our son so we could sleep at night. When our son was ready to be sleep trained, Veronica took over for 2.5 weeks. Veronica is incredibly skilled and did as she promised. She knows a lot of great tricks and guided us through our new nighttime routine. I was very grateful that she didn't employ the cry it out method. In fact, I barely heard our son cry throughout the sleep training process which allowed me to maintain my piece of mind, knowing that he was being taken care of in a positive way. She has the magic touch and was very sweet with the baby, even playing with him as we got ready for work. We had just returned from a Europe trip with my 6 month old son and were all suffering from jet lag and sleep deprivation. After not getting any decent sleep for days in a row and not being able to function at home or at work, I looked up night nurses on the internet and found Veronica. She was very responsive to my call and reassuring on the phone. I took a big leap of faith leaving my son overnight with someone I had never met before, but she came with excellent references and I had a good feeling about her. Veronica turned out to be very good with my son. She put him back to sleep twice that night when he woke up, allowing me and my husband to finally get one night of uninterrupted sleep. Two months after our daughter and second child was born we were struggling with sleepless nights. I was working long hours and my wife was trying to manage our one year old and newborn daughter while still working from home. One night while on my way home, my poor wife broke down and told me how she could not continue operating on no sleep. As soon as I got home I took to Yelp and found Veronica. Veronica is not only and Infant Specialist but she is also a creator of healthy sleep habits (Infant Sleep trainer).

Since then she has been coming two nights per week and allowing my wife to catch up on sleep. She is even able to exercise in the mornings and blow off some much needed steam. We have had nights to ourselves and have even been able to go on a few dates. Veronica has really allowed us to continue our lives while still giving our daughter the patience she deserves.

I found Veronica and her team when my baby girl was two weeks old. Reasonably new to America and with a Husband who travels for work regularly I was overwhelmed and sleep deprived and not coping well with the demands of a newborn. She was the first and only person I met with. Within five minutes of meeting her and explaining my situation, I am not ashamed to admit, I was crying. She put her arms around me and was so kind and genuine in her concern, I immediately felt better. I signed a contract that day,
I admit, I was apprehensive at first; my Husband and I are both private people and the thought of someone staying with us overnight; especially in charge of our baby, was new for both of us but within a couple of days any fears we had were gone. We originally hired one of Veronica's assistants to start on a Monday, but when I came home from the hospital I was in major need of a lactation specialist due to engorgement so I called Veronica. She was able at the last minute rearrange her schedule to come help us that Saturday night.

When she first got here she started with a massage, since she is a certified massage specialist, while I painfully pumped to give me some relief and help release my milk. I couldn't believe within one night with Veronica my breast were better.

The next thing she really helped with was my little one's sucking and latch because our baby had problems with her tongue. Veronica finger fed her and within a couple nights she had her sucking coordination perfected!

Overall we would highly recommend Veronica because without her nurturing postpartum care, lactation, and baby nurse skills our transition home would have never been so smooth. More...

FANTASTIC TWIN SPECIALIST & DOULA AFTER SURROGACYMy husband and I found Veronica about 6 months before the birth of our twins by surrogate. We had no clue how to prepare for parenthood and she was crucial in our success! She met with us several times in the months leading up to the birth and guided us on the essentials to get, helped us set up our nursery and talked us through what to expect on the big day. She even did a site visit for the nursery to help calm us and double checke everything.We left the hospital deliriously happy and legitimately delirious from sleep deprivation. Veronica met us at MIDNIGHT at our house to help us get the twins settled and she promptly sent us off to bed ourselves. We felt so relieved to know that our kids were in good hands and we had her guidance and expertise.Working with Veronica as our Doula after surrogacy, has increased our confidence, made us more hands-on and has helped us enjoy the process of becoming parents. During my pregnancy, I had done a little research on night nurses. Being a first time mom, I really didn't know how helpful this would be for me. However, I decided to call Veronica and hear a little more about the services she provides. She was very kind and informative. It wasn't until I delivered my baby, and experienced my first week at home that I realized I really needed some help. I was feeling exhausted and my mood swings were absolutely out of control. I decided to call Veronica again and ask her a little more about the entire process and service of night nursing. I needed immediate help that exact night. I was feeling extremely sleep deprived. Baby Nurse Veronica is the best she helped us with our newborn transition from the hospital when we didn't know how to take care of a newborn to being so confident in taking care of our little angel! Veronica Hinojosa was such a tremendous help for our family. Life changing!We hired her and her team for 6 weeks when our boy was 2 months old to get some help at night and to sleep train the baby. Veronica was our Postpartum Doula and Infant Sleep trainer.Thanks to her tricks, he is growing well, sleeps from 8pm to 7:000am every day and has also a regular schedule during the day. We can't think of enough glowing things to say about Veronica and her team!  They are prompt, thorough, delightfully friendly, well-informed, and highly instructive. We met with Veronica at first, but she was a little out of our price range, so we went with one of her apprentices, Lidia.  All I can say is that I honestly don't know how we would have gotten through the last three months without her -- I knew NOTHING about babies before having one of my own.  And now, at 12 weeks, our daughter can sleep 11-12 hours solid at night, and my husband and I are pros at swaddling, feeding, bathing, naptime, etc.  We would highly recommend Veronica and Lidia to any new parents.  Even my Mother-in-Law loved her -- and believe me, that is some HIGH PRAISE. Veronica is the most passionate, energetic and qualified woman I've met in a long time. She is a baby nurse and infant care educator and starts teaching you her "tricks" from the get go (even at the initial interview). My husband and I engaged Veronica as a night nurse for our newborn son. We only had her for two weeks since she was booked already but we learned a lot and continue to use her systems. Veronica has so much on her plate that she relies on her network of personally trained doulas who she refers. We continued using one of her referrals Lydia and she was amazing. What puts Veronica ahead of the pack is that she also cares about the mom and acts as a Postpartum  Doula. I had an unplanned c section and Veronica helped me recover by making me breakfast, cleaning up the bedroom after I went to shower in the morning and in general being predictive of my needs. She helped me with breastfeeding and taught the baby how to latch, set up the pump in the night and would wake me up. My husband and I had been searching for the right Postpartum Doula for our newborn twins Jeffrey and Grace when we found Veronica. We knew right away from her experience and loving ways that she was the one. Even before the delivery, Veronica helped us in the planning - setting up the nursery, key items to have, etc. Once the babies were home, Veronica went right to work making sure they were well taken care of. The twins were preemies so extra care was needed. She helped me with breastfeeding which was a challenge because we also had to give the babies formula until my milk came in. Veronica was a god-sent. We are first time parents, and when i interviewed Veronica, she said -- you will want a night nurse -- and she ended up being so right! My husband and I are expecting twins in September and decided we needed to start planning ahead on how we'd cope with the arrival of 2 babies. Our families live abroad, and on the East coast and we know we'll need help when we cannot rely on family. After much searching, we came across Veronica on yelp, and her reviews were all amazing. We arranged to meet her, and I can honestly say that I felt that an angel had walked through the door! She is professional, kind, fun, a listener, a person of great authority when it comes to knowing about babies, and she really works with you to find the best solution for what you'll need. Due to a few circumstances, we won't be using Veronica, but she has referred her partner, Tania who will be available to us. Veronica came back with Tania so we could all meet and we loved Tania and realised how kind, and capable she is - with lots of experience with twins. We feel we will be in very good hands. Veronica and Tania came up with a game plan that best suited us, and what our needs will be. The entire process so far has been fantastic, and some of my feelings of being overwhelmed and nervous for what is to come have disappeared. We cannot wait for these babies to arrive, and for Tania (and Veronica's guidance) to be with us at the start of their little lives. Veronica is an Angel!  We hired her as our Postpartum Doula and Infant Educator.Veronica is one of the most caring, loving and supportive women I have ever met. She was the first and only Doula we interviewed as I felt immediately comfortable with her and had total confidence that she was the right person for the job.  She treated me as if I was her daughter as she tenderly nursed me back to health from my C-Section. She taught me how to do everything from nursing to bathing to swaddling and changing the baby, in addition she gave me a list of all additional essentials that we did not have in the house. I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience with Veronica; I only wish that she could have stayed longer.  My time with her made a world of difference in my life, even though it was brief I felt very prepared transitioning into motherhood. Veronica is a lifesaver!   We Hired her as our Postpartum Doula and Baby Nurse. When my wife and I learned that her father suffered a heart attack and her parents were unable to be with us following the birth of our daughter, I researched Baby Nurses and Post-Partum Doulas in Santa Monica and thankfully found Veronica, even though she was already booked through the year at nights , she was able to accommodate her days off for us and her day hours.  She met with us that day in our hospital room and mobilized to provide us with much needed round-the clock support during our first week at home.  Veronica has been caring, loving support for our new arrival and a tremendous resource for my wife and I, preparing us for the many challenges ahead.  Thank you Veronica! Veronica just saved us! My husband and I adopted a baby boy one week ago on zero notice. We found out about the baby on a Friday and had the baby home with us the next day. After a week of being parents, we were both so tired! I emailed Veronica at midnight while our baby was crying and bc I was so tired. I figured I would hear from her the next day, but Veronica called at 12:30am and was at my door by 1am. She took care of the baby for the night while me and my husband got some sleep. We hired her on the spot to help with a sleep schedule for the baby (and for us). One thing I've learned is that everyone needs some help and Veronica answered our prayers. Contact her! My wife recently gave birth to our first child, a beautiful baby girl.  Unfortunately, her pregnancy was not such a beautiful thing.  My wife suffered from Hyperemesis gravidarum; severe and debilitating nausea and vomiting.  She was in constant pain and discomfort for the entire 9 months.  Needless to say, she (and I) were exhausted by the time she was ready to give birth.  As an added bonus, at the last minute, my wife required an emergency C-section.  It was, of course, all worth it in the end, as we are madly in love with our daughter and wouldn't trade her for the world.  Unfortunately, the rough pregnancy and delivery left both of us drained.  We were so excited to spend time with our child, but were also worried about being able to get the much needed sleep my wife needed to recover now that she could finally get through an entire night without becoming severely ill.  We were extremely fortunate to have Veronica join us as we finally came home from the hospital.  Veronica was extremely understanding and knowledgable about my wife's condition, on top of her extensive baby knowledge.  She was as concerned for my wife's well being and recovery as she was for our daughter.  Her warm personality immediately put us at ease, and her years of experience with babies quickly became apparent as she used her magic touch to calm our baby girl and get her to sleep 3 and 4 hour stretches at a time almost immediately.  She truly is a 'baby whisperer'. I am a very private person, and was concerned about having a new person stay in our home with us, particularly when we wanted to spend as much time bonding with the baby as possible.  Veronica was very sensitive to the situation and made it clear without any prompting from us whatsoever that she respects and values our privacy greatly, and would give us as much space as we wanted and needed, while still being there to help with the baby and guide us in the care for our child.  Any potential concerns were soon allayed, as she quickly became like another member of the family.  Instead of feeling the presence of an outsider, we genuinely enjoyed our time with Veronica, even after the baby had been put to bed.  Her patient explanations and demonstrations for all things baby care related really put us at ease, as we were definitely in the 'I don't think I know what I'm doing' camp.  Her confidence and teaching skills gave us the tools to care for our baby, and she made herself available 24/7 for any questions or concerns we may have, even if she wasn't with us at the time.  If we are fortunate enough to have another child, I without a doubt would love to have Veronica join us again in welcoming the baby to our new family, and making the experience as pleasant as possible for us parents as well. Veronica is an amazing baby nurse. We felt like we could trust her from the moment we met her. On a personal level, she is warm and energetic and intelligent. Professionally, she is incredibly experienced and holds multiple certifications (as a Doula, Newborn Care Specialist and Home Health Aide, just to name a few). Our son was born 3 months prematurely and came home from the hospital needing to be handled carefully during feedings, as he had a tendency to choke badly and hold his breath at times. Veronica is a lactation specialist, and it was very comforting to have her sitting by my side for some of those early breastfeeding sessions at home (we were always monitored by nurses at the hospital). She also fed him bottles of my breastmilk at night with his prescribed vitamins so my husband and I could get some much-needed rest. We were very nervous about having anyone else feed the baby at first, since he needed to be "paced" in a specific way, but Veronica is experienced with preemies and we were relieved to see how easily and lovingly she handled the task. Veronica also held our son upright after those middle-of-the-night feedings to help him with his reflux, which was a huge help. I also have to mention that one of the best things we learned from Veronica was how to give an infant massage. It's such a loving way to bond with our baby and our son loves it!My husband and I highly recommend Veronica if you're looking for a postpartum doula/baby nurse. We called Veronica when our 3-week-old daughter was having trouble with reflux and not sleeping more than 45 minutes a stretch.  We were exhausted and not able to fully enjoy this wonderful time.  Veronica has a career that spans more than 10 years and more than 100 babies, including multiples.  She is well-read in the newborn literature and is probably more qualified than anyone to handle any situation.  She is a postpartum doula, certified newborn care specialist, lactation specialist, and massage therapist for adults and infants, to name a few of her many hats.  She has gone the extra mile to acquire not just extensive certifications but the knowledge and experience to excel at what she does.   My wife and I are both physicians (type A personalities!) with particular concerns about safety and trust.  Veronica quickly earned our trust and allayed our fears about letting someone else help care for our first and only child.  Though she has admitted to me that my daughter is one of the most spirited babies she has ever cared for, I am thrilled to report that she is now consistently sleeping 3-5 hour stretches between feeds.  Veronica is nothing but professional, kind, friendly, loving, and a great communicator.  She treats our daughter as if she were her own.   I give Veronica my highest recommendation.  Hiring her was a great investment and has allowed me and my wife to be well-rested and to give our daughter 100%.
