Let B1 Photo Safaris take you on a full day from Sunrise to Sunset in the Kruger National Park. This product is designed for Wildlife photographers with limited time to spend in the Kruger National Park or for part of a business trip and just want to try his / her skill/ luck at taking photographs of the African Big 5 wildlife for a day or two.

Bernhard & Hennie Bekker deliver it ALL! From the moment we arrived at Kruger, they worked their magic and made our private safari one of the BEST vacations we have had.
..EVER!
The Bekker brothers know Kruger. They know where the animals are and are masters at finding them and getting the safari vehicle in the perfect position to get amazing photos. Their knowledge of the myriad of species in Kruger is impressive; they have their iPad ready to go, so in the rare event they do not know the species, they look it up!! Both are accomplished photographers so really know how to work with the light to give you the best chance at nailing the perfect photo. Their open safari vehicle is a photographer's dream, equipped with mounted tripods and bean bags. And their ability to spot animals constantly amazed my husband and myself. They seriously must have 10/10 vision...lol.
We spent 6 amazing days in 2 locations ; Satara and Skukuza. And we saw it all...lions, Casper the white lion, leopards, wild dogs, rhinos, cheetahs, buffalos, elephants, zebras, giraffes, hyena, black-backed jackals, dozens of bird species, and even a flap-necked chameleon! Every day we were more amazed than the day before; it was a safari photographers and animal lovers dream.
Traveling from the U.S. with the current chaos with air travel, we had 2 flights cancelled and ended up getting to the park 2 days late. Bernhard and Hennie took care of the reservation changes needed in the park making our delay no big deal. They were even able to extend our trip with them 2 extra days to make up for the days we missed due to our cancelled flights. They picked us up at Skukuza Airport, and also picked up a 600mm lens I had rented from Hilton Kotze with Africa Photographic Services so it was ready for me to use as soon as we arrived. Bernhard even met us in the park at the end of our trip (we spent an additional 12 days on our own in the park) to retrieve the lens so I didn't have to deal with returning it.
If you are considering a safari trip to South Africa, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND B1 Photo Safaris. This was our 2nd trip with them, we will most definitely be back, and I wouldn't consider using anyone else. They really are the BEST of the best!!

Wow Wow Wow !!!! PKTours are the best!!! I went to Kruger in July 2019 - Thanks Hennie and Arno!!! What an amazing experience. I feel extremely lucky to have had the most amazing guides in Kruger. I splashed out on a full private guide experience and boy was it worth. Within one hour of landing at Skukuza and being picked up by Arno I had seen a herd of 13 Sable antelope which are extremely rare including a majestic buck. Days 2 and 3 were spent with Hennie who has spent all his life in the bush and knows how to track animals. This knowledge is invaluable and we saw all of the big 5 and some amazing sights. We saw 2 leopards, 7 rhino's, a lion, 5 lionesses including one stalking and attacking a heard of buffalo. We also saw a lioness with 4 cubs suckling. I saw 3 massive heard of buffalo, elephants, giraffes and zebras everywhere. Heaps of hippos, crocs, vultures and there are so many many amazing birds to see too. I was up early and we were the first in Kruger gate both Sat and Sunday mornings, we saw a nocturnal Genet cat and some amazing sunrises. This was a once in a lifetime bucket list experience and would go back with PKTours every time if I had the chance. Arno and Hennie are also keen to point out all amazing bird life in the Kruger, I got some amazing shots, if you are bird watcher these are the guys for you, they are just amazing at spotting and finding wildlife everywhere. I felt so much gratitude for such a privileged experience with amazing guides that are expert at their job which is to track animals and to also make feel comfortable, at home, and also if you want a friendly chat too. Hennie is also an amazing photographer and has a photo in national geographic. PKTours is the best way to see the Kruger and the personal guided experience is well worth the extra money. More...

Our safari was excellent. The knowledge of the animals and environment, the photographic knowledge and the patience and persistence of Arno, our guide, helped us to get a huge amount of fantastic shots. From the minute we entered the park we were shooting and using full manual. On the second day we saw leopards, two cheetahs and were even lucky enough to see a leopard cub with its watchful mother. From the excellent bird knowledge to seeing Jackals, Honey Badgers, Mongooses and other animals outside the ‘ big five’ we were thoroughly spoilt. Nothing can beat being surrounded by elephants and hearing them call then driving a couple of minutes to see 20 lions! Every day we saw so many birds and animals and learnt a lot about photography too. Arno’s love of the animals and the park were obvious. The service even continued until the airport drop off with a ride in an air conditioned vehicle to Nelspruit as we had had very hot and humid weather for the whole week. This was very thoughtful and much appreciated before we travelled back to Australia. We would highly recommend this tour, Bernard, Hennie and Arno were all wonderful to deal with and got us into the best possible positions to get amazing photos. Thank you, we will be back! More...

Had my best ever photo safari at the Kruger National Park in South Africa with B1 Photo Safari. Bernhard Bekker and his brother Hennie Bekker were wonderful, punctual, patient and they went beyond our expectations to ensure that we see all the game we were interested in. Amongst many signings of various animals, saw 8 male lions in three days, four of which we saw in one day. On our last day, we had not seen the elusive Leopard and they were not happy that we would complete our week tour without seeing a Leopard, they worked tirelessly until we sighted a leopardess with her cub! My wife & I spent some time with Bernhard a couple of years ago. We found him knowledgeable, courteous & professional. We were in a mixed group & he went above & beyond to get us into great spots for photography. He knew where the animals would be & whilst we weren't successful on every section of every, trip we eventually saw all we had set out to see. Quentin van der Merwe was an amazing guide on our day in Kruger National Park. Me and my girlfriend stayed for 4 days with Private Kruger Safaris. All the safaris we've done were with Quintin and what a great guide he is! Very friendly and polite, knows about everything we asked him, and believe me, my girlfriend makes a lot of questions. We (a group of 6 adults) just completed our private safari with Bernhard and Arno. Both of these guys were superb. They were efficient in their communication beforehand, their pick-up times were timely, they were always willing to answer any questions we had, and freely shared their wealth of knowledge about Kruger and the many species of life within, great stories about their past experiences, as well as their camera/photography skills.
It was an amazing 2 days at Kruger. Although 2 days is not enough to enjoy all this place has to offer, if you are short on time and want a great private guide experience, I would highly recommend getting in touch with Bernhard and Arno.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Covid is here to stay and luckily we are outdoors 90% of our days with customers all our staff is vaccinated and try to limit personal contact during the activities.
