Mark at B-DBM drew up plans for a significant extension for our home that included transforming our existing kitchen into a sizeable snug, with adjacent toilet, relocating the kitchen to the new extension and making appropriate adjustments to our living room to accommodate the extension. We are delighted with the results. We found Mark to be attentive to our design requirements, helpful in suggesting the best way these could be achieved and insightful in maximising the space we had available. His manner is extremely courteous and efficient in dealing with correspondence. He was also willing to alter the initial plans to take into account suggestions comments. After a competitive process we appointed Mark to help us design our dream home. We chose him because he offered something different (but not widely out there) in the concept stage, gave us a realistic view of what could be achieved for our budget and came across as interested in us and what we were doing, not trying to force his ideas on us. We have now been working with him for over 2 years. He has shown patience and understanding with us through a difficult process during planning and getting started.We decided that we wanted to be involved in the build more than just watching it happen and therefore didn’t appoint Mark to project manage. However despite this he has been with us every step of the way. From the first interactions with Mark at DBM, we were blown away. He really took the time to understand what we needed from our major remodelling project of a 1901 Victorian semi. Every step of the process involved great communication and he produced 3 design concepts with really detailed drawings for us and the contractors of the chosen scheme. DBM designed and managed the entire project to an extremely very high standard, with the creation of a new family room (kitchen/dinner), utility/shower room, remodelled 1st floor bedroom and a stunning glass lobby entrance and glass lean to. The resulting house changed our family dynamic, bring two teenagers back into the centre of our home. We couldn't be more thrilled with the result and wouldn't hesitate to recommend DBM. Mark provided the architectural drawings and completed the whole planning process for our garage conversion/extension in late 2016. In addition Mark project managed our build, keeping it on time and within our specifications. We found that Mark was extremely reliable, efficient, responsive and reasonable on price.
