I hired Avis to re-stain our deck after hiring another company 2 summers ago to do the same thing. Unfortunately the job done by the previous company didn’t even last 1 of our winters as the paint was peeling all over the following spring. Avis did a fantastic job. Stephen at Avis Painting did such an amazing job painting the exterior of our ENTIRE house! (siding, window trim, eavestroughs, soffits and fascia) There is nothing he can't do. Avis Painting did an amazing job power washing, sanding an staining our deck, including railings and steps. Stephen was thorough, very meticulous and professional from start to finish, keeping in constant communication with the status of the work and timelines. Stephen’s attention to detail was second to none. He took the time to ensure each step of the staining process was done properly. I even noticed, on a couple occasions, him hand sanding areas/tight nooks of the deck that couldn’t be properly reached with a power sander, which just illustrates his commitment to doing a job right. Stephen also provided recommendations and information on stain and the pros of cons of certain types of stain products. We are more than pleased with the finished work. The deck looks amazing. We meet Stephen through word of mouth. He was highly recommended and after dealing with him WE highly recommend him as well.
Rare to find but he is proof that still exists... He does what he says he is going to do! From communicating, to showing up when he said he is going to (sometimes even sooner), straight up and respectful with your property.
Stephen weather proofed of double deck. It looks great. Done very well with no stains anywhere. Clean and fast.

I can't recommend Stephen enough. We have had our pergola/hot tub and cabana stained a few times but this time it really needed some work. Stephen was the only contractor willing to come and view the yard to give an accurate quote. They sanded the enough pergola down for a clean start, took down the hanging hooks and spray painted them and even did our mail box when he saw it was needed. I had Avis Painting do a number of projects, including painting my bedroom walls and ceiling, staining my front porch and fence, painting the front facade of the house and power washing my back deck and concrete patio.
