At Aviary Creative, we do brand and web design. We love to work closely with businesses to help them solve creative challenges and better represent who they are.
We realise that no two projects, or clients are the same, but we like to get stuck in right from the outset and put the right team together for the project.

Working with Aviary Creative was extremely easy and straightforward.
What makes a great website?
A site that's easy to use and navigate, gets the point of your business across immediately, and works well responsively, across any device.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
It very much depends on the job, but the more information you can provide upfront, the less I'll have to ask. As an example, if you were to ask a decorator how much to paint your house, they would want to know how many rooms you had, do the windows and doors need painting, what colour paint do you want, and so on. It's the same for design, there's a lot or parameters that can be applied to a brand or website project, so I would ask anything that wasn't clear from the initial point of contact.
Describe your creative process.
Most creative projects require a simple 4 step process.
1. Define – define what the brief is, what work is required, who the audience is and what the outputs of the project will be. On larger projects this may include a strategy and competitor review.
2. Create – create the ideas or concepts as moodboards or initial designs/wireframes to get approval from the client before taking things to the next step.
3. Develop – develop the create concepts to a more finished level, build the website, create all the assets required for the project.
4. Deliver – deliver the final piece of wirk to the client, this may take the form of a finished website, brand guidelines and master brand assets, a photographic library, etc.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
It's always good to have a discussion about the project requirements in the first instance and wherever possible get a proper written brief. It also helps to have an idea of budget and the deadline that needs to be worked to.
What do you love most about your job?
Being able to work on many different types of projects, and working with clients directly is much more rewarding than working anonymously in a big design agency.
What inspired you to start your own business?
An entrepreneurial spirit and wanting to work on exactly the type of projects I enjoy the most.
Why should our clients choose you?
As a small agency, we’re nimble and proficient.
We have experience of working with big brands, (British Gas, Lloyds Bank, The Post Office, etc), as well as small companies, start-ups and charities.
We turn work around for our clients quickly and efficiently.
When necessary, we collaborate with experts over a range of disciplines.
We can create teams around our clients, who are only engaged with the projects they need. There's no additional costs to cover overheads and staff wages.
