Was told they had availability but just had to come for a visit the following day to verify vaccination records etc. Once I arrived, they told me there was nothing available for the agreed dates. Avalon Pet Hotel is a fantastic kennels and pet hotel. Our two bulldogs, Bentley and Bosco both stay here and are superbly cared for. They both have multiple special requirements in terms of diet and medical issues but the team at Avalon are brilliant at taking care of everything needed. I have been using Avalon Kennels and Cattery for over ten years and my pets have always received excellent care. From puppyhood to elderly, boisterous to frail, the dogs have been well looked after and always bound in without a backward glance! Cooper loves Charlie! The last two times I boarded my dog here in the Pet Hotel, she suffered what I would say was extreme weight loss in a week ! Just to mention also my dog was not overweight. After the second boarding and upon returning to a 'normal' feeding regime, my dog was ill for a week after. I will NEVER board here again. I certainly would love to know what really goes on here, though that would require someone with a drone I would imagine. More...

Just had Max our rehomed Wire Haired Vizsla groomed by Gavin and his team, he was looking more like a Labradoodle when he arrived but now looks like a proper Vizsla, a lot of care and attention has been lavished on Max, what a difference and it must have been hard work for Gavin as he had a matted coat probably about 7cms down to about 1cm. Thank you, great job.

Whenever we start packing, our old mongrel Charky begins to get a bit depressed. But the moment we leave him at Avalon, he seems to get his mojo back. Leaving our dog when we go on vacation is always a bit traumatic, probably more for us than for him. Avalon was recommended to us 6 years ago, and we have used them ever since. We entrusted Avalon to care for our cat and it's evident she had a traumatic experience. When informing the staff we had come to pick up our cat she didn't make any eye contact and asked for payment immediately. The charge was more than quoted and was not explained or itemised. She never told us anything about how our cat had gotten along and even got the gender of our cat wrong. We went to accompany her to the shelter to pick up our cat and instead were told to meet her in the drive where she would hand her over. This was a clear indication that she didn't want us to see the cat hotel. When she opened the door we could hear our cat was stressed. We then received our cat and carrier which both stank of pee(were visibly wet and dripping). We had to bath her immediately to get rid of the smell. She was very distressed by the stay, and continued crying for days. It was clear she was not provided a clean room or checked on. We will never use a cattery again because of this experience. More...

Couldn't recommend Avalon Kennels enough! Luther is an excited 50kg Pup and he loves every minute! They handle his craziness amazingly, care is second to none! !
