Had some work done here twice so far - an interim service, where Ali kindly came to pick my car up (as I was tied up with work commitments) and dropped it off at a time that was convenient for me. Second time my engine management light was showing - and had to have my Lambda sensor changed.. really friendly blokes, and really helpful - and most importantly do their best not to burn a hole through your wallet. Friendly and professional service. In light of a negative review posted here, I thought I should bring some balance by writing this review. My father who is Jewish and I have used this garage for many years and always found the owner to be very warm and welcoming without any trace of anti-semiticism.
I can only imagine the owners light-hearted banter being misinterpreted as racist or anti-semitic, when I have always found him to be a warm, playful and humane being.
When my father passed away last year, the owner respectfully attended his funeral, which is a measure of how he viewed him even after his custom was over.
We have always been treated with great hospitality and the work has been done reliably and the the pricing always seems fair, so I would happily recommend to other potential customers. More...

What a find
Having had poor experiences with other local garages, I was recommended by a friend to take my car to Autowerke garage.
From the beginning I received a warm welcome,the service was efficient,timely and reasonably priced,and all arranged in a good-natured way.
Al and Patrick are genuinely nice guys,nothing is too much for them.
Whilst sitting in their cosy office I could see that the place was like a little community hub,customers coming and going.
One customer asked if they had a ladder they can borrow,Patrick went out and came back with one.
Brilliant.

Fantastic service - diagnosed and fixed the problem with my coolant leak on my Mini quickly and for a good price. They had it back on the road the next day with the part replaced. I've waiting until now (3 weeks later) to undertake my review just to make sure it was all fixed with no problems - there are none. What a find! My regular garage couldn't fit me in to replace the mechanism to my electric window for another 10 days. I rang up Al at Autowerke Ltd on Friday and was booked in by Saturday. Al was brilliant and as I sat there waiting for the work to be done I saw the interaction with other clients. There are no problems just solutions with Al. He is available 24/7, one of the good guys, a real professional and best of all the work was excellent & service second to none. I have been going to Autowerke for over 10 years and trust Al and his team to make sure my car is always roadworthy. I have rung Al the owner in the early hours and he has come to rescue my car after an accident.
They offer advice and never attempt to overcharge or mislead you which i feel is important if you don't know much about cars. When my car fails me it is the end of the world to me but with Al and his team they keep me calm and then hand me the key to an Al mobile (courtesy car) and send me on my way. I have seen this type of service is standard to all customers and not to long standing irritating ones like me.

This garage is a real find, for me in particular as someone who runs old cars and resents paying dealership prices. Prices are very reasonable, quality of workmanship is excellent. Al and Patrick are great guys, very helpful, approachable and more interested in building a long-term relationship with their customers than ripping you off to make a "fast buck". They are happy to quote a price before doing the work so you get the sense that they are fair and honest. Good banter too! Very friendly, excellent service and reasonably priced. I took my car to them after I'd had a bad smash and damaged one of the wheel arches and passenger door quite badly. I needed the work complete and the car back within a few days which they promised they could do. Not only did I get my car back when promised but the work they had done was exceptional. You couldn't tell that it had ever been damaged and it was like new. I would recommend this garage to anybody that needs any kind of bodywork repairs done to their car.
