Auntie's Cakery specializes in wedding cakes! With over 20 years artistic experience, I (Tracie) will be able to create an edible work of art for your special day. I will also happily create custom celebration cakes as well, including: birthday, anniversary, graduation, baptism or christening, and any other occasion. I bake and decorate custom cookies and cupcakes too.

I'd been through my fair share of weddings and had a wide variety of wedding cakes -- most disappointing fondant that tasted blegh. Last week I had my own wedding and Tracie and the crew at Auntie's Cakery blew me away. I chose a simple vanilla cake because I was trying to stay in budget and my guests could not stop talking about how good it was. There wasn't a slice left! Tracie (The Cake Artist) of Auntie's Cakery surprised us with and amazing design on our wedding cake. The style matched perfectly with our wedding venue and the quality of the ingredients are just outstanding. I am from Mexico, and for Mexicans American cakes seem to be dry and too sweet. However, this cake flavor was balanced, versatile, and delicious. Most people leave out and do not eat cakes' frost but the frost on our cake was superb, with a soft fluffy texture and a lovely vanilla taste. Tracie's creativity creating the flavors could not be better. We could meet all my guests preference with a three flavor cake. What do you love most about your job?
I love the reaction I see on customers faces when they see their cake. It brings me so much joy and satisfaction.
What inspired you to start your own business?
As a 10 yr old, I helped my mother bake cookies and candies for friends and neighbors at Christmas. As a mid teen, I took on cookie baking myself. After graduating with an ART major, I settled down and started a family. I loved making cakes for my children every year. Soon, Friends and family started asking me to bake their kids cakes. And so it went until I decided to get a cottage food licence and start an official cake and cookie business. I am loving every second and hope to continue being a part of others' special days for many years to come.

I'm not here to convince anyone that I am better than other cake decorators, but I love what I do and hope that you will too.
