Couldn’t be happier with our newborn photography session. Amber had many amazing props and was able to quickly adjust when our little guy started to get fussy. She also had some creative poses that turned out absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly professional and patient as we had to take breaks to feed him and transition from one pose to the next. She has the most adorable studio with a twinkle light wall, antique bed, sofa, fireplace, hair and makeup setting that looks like it should be in a vintage magazine! I'll admit, I was nervous - I'm used to being behind the camera - not in front. Amber was so much fun working with that I quickly realized everything was going to be ok! After my hair and makeup was done the fun began. She directed me throughout on how to pose and we had a lot of fun along the way. Amber quickly realized that white was the best color for me and we did a lot of photographs. The studio was great and very comfortable. Amber was amazing! I just started as a Realtor here in Lakeland and I needed a professional headshot done for my business. I went with AU and am so glad I did! She went above and beyond and was so kind and made you feel so confident and comfortable in front of the lens! She has a lovely studio and she had a hair/makeup artist get me all set for the shoot! Amber doesn't cut you on your time or money and makes sure you're presented at your very best in the end! She even went as far to have a small platter of goodies, fruits and cheese and cookies and beverages available, and I don't know if she always does this but I hadn't had breakfast and having her do that for when I arrived says a lot about who she is as a person. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
My whole life as an artist has taught me how to skillfully create beautiful photographs. I taught art for 10 years and majored in art and technology. I work very hard to capture you in the most flattering and beautiful vogue style poses with genuine expression. Every individual that walks into my boutique style studio feels at home and enjoys the experience. It is important to me that you enjoy the whole experience, have some fun, and receive a gold standard of excellence every step of the way.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Do you like candid or formal shots? What is your style, what should you wear, and what location will best reflect your personality and vision? Once we have established how to achieve your vision, and where, the next step is to choose the right session package to fit your needs. Do you like the option of many outfit changes and locations, or just a few is all that is required. Lastly, we just need a date, and then we'll book a session.
What do you love most about your job?
I really do live for testimonials....I love to hear my clients say that they never expected to see themselves photographed so beautifully. I am new to "bark" so I do not have reviews on this site yet, but I do on my website and on Thumbtack. I love when people are happy with my work, and that they recommend me to their friends and family. Then I know I have done my job and if my clients are happy, then I am happy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
When I moved to Florida in 2013, I found a house that had a separate building, and I was able to transform it into a beautiful boutique studio. It took about a year until it was completely remodeled, and then my life long dream of having a full time photography business became a reality in February 2014.
Why should our clients choose you?
Clients should choose me because I work hard to provide you with photographs that are like timeless art pieces to display in your home or office. My prices reflect the fact that I am not a commercial studio or like most typical photo studios that only offer limited choices and packages with expensive price tags. Instead I want my clients to be able to afford my service and have images they can treasure without all of the hassle. I also offer interest payment plans, which is good old fashion lay-a-way if money is tight. Who does that anymore?
Professional Headshots or Personal Branding
Portraits can be taken in the studio or on location. All images are beautifully retouched and come in the form of a high-resolution digital file and a print (5x7). There are 5 sessions to choose from starting from the mini-session of $125. Need headshots of everyone at the office? Ask about group discounts.
Professional hair and makeup services are also available for an additional $150.
Family & Child Portrait Sessions
Family portraits whether small or large, there is a Collection available to fit your needs. There are studio prices and on location prices which include travel and equipment setup. A personalized video is included with Collections 2, 3, and 4 to share with friends and family.
Maternity & Newborn Sessions
Capturing the magic of motherhood and the joy of holding your tiny baby for the first time is a moment to cherish forever. You can capture both your maternity and newborn session as one package, or do them separately at the studio or at a location of your choice. Ask about creating a photo album of baby’s first year up to the cake smash.
Glamour - Modeling & Comp Cards
Glamour and modeling sessions are offered with professional hair and makeup by a HMUA, and a custom 3 to 4 hour session. You'll bring a variety of outfits to show the many sides of you, and images are taken at a variety of locations. A personalized video is created of your session to share with modeling agencies, friends or family, and Comp cards are created with your portfolio for modeling agencies. Usually clients choose Collection Five on location ($525) with hair and makeup services ($150) and 3 different comp card configurations $150, for an average of $825.
Boudoir Session
Be the ultra-vixen and get pampered for the day with a professional hair and makeup artist. Bring all of your sexy outfits and lingerie or if you aren't sure what to bring, a wardrobe consultation is part of the service. Choose from Collection 2, 3, 4 or 5 and add an additional $200 for studio set up and the hair and makeup artist. Products are also available to purchase, such as custom albums, portfolio display boxes, or surprise him with a little black box with beautiful flush mount prints.
High School Seniors
Highlight your senior with personalized attention, and images they will treasure for a lifetime. Many seniors like to take their portraits at the studio with their cap and gown and feature their interests with props, and then head out to different locations of their choice. A personalized video to share with friends and family is included. Ask about custom announcement cards as well as hair and makeup services.
Pet Portraits
Whether you want to feature just your pet, or take portraits with your furry friend...there are many options. Since some animals do not like to travel, I am happy to travel to you. Animals of all kinds are also welcome at the studio. Holiday backdrops are available if you wanted to do your annual Holliday cards.
