Astoria Tango Club is an authentic Buenos Aires style milonga held every Sunday evening. Pulpo the organizer hires the best visiting and local instructors, performers and DJ's to make for a memorable night of tango and friendship! Huge wooden dance floor, world class teachers,good sound system & excellent DJ's for a $12 cover most nights is a bargain! Full service restaurant & bar service is available at an extra cost. If you haven't been to the milonga at Astoria Tango Club on Sunday night you need to try it at least once! But be careful - you might become addicted! More...

They are like a second family. Very warm and receptive.
For a person like me (60yo) who has never danced before, after 5 months of positive vibes from the teachers and other couples attending I am amazed at my progress.
Give them a try and don’t be intimidated if it’s your first time. It gets easier.

Last night was the best Tango Night ever in NYC celebrating the second anniversary of a The Astoria Tango Club with his unique Orchestra and DJ.
I never saw so many people dancing, listening and eating TANGO ARGENTINO.

A very nice place, easily accessible with the R train to learn how to dance tango. I am French and I just started learning tango in NYC. I like going to Astoria because I always feel very welcomed. People are very nice, there are table to sit down, relax, eat (good food) and drink (affordable drinks). They have professional dancers from Argentina coming to demonstrate (always breathtaking), and once in a while even a traditional tango orchestra! Classes are on Wednesday with Gustavo, who is a great teacher and there is a party (Milonga) there every Sunday night. Highly recommended. More...
