Brian has helped us with a couple of projects: a side return and some internal remodeling in 2018 and again with plans for a loft extension in 2020. We were very happy with his advice and quality of construction drawings; all done at a reasonable price which is very transparent on his website. Indeed his clarity of pricing was one of the main things that attracted us in the first place. Despite being based in Wales, Brian is regularly in London and quick to get hold of. Like a lot of people we had a rough idea about what we wanted but needed ideas on how to make it happen. Brian and Tom are very professional and approachable and above all else, patient.
We have had a number of changes of mind and in every case their attitude has been entirely customer focussed making them a pleasure to deal with. Everything is upfront and in writing. There are no unexpected costs with the billing system they use.
I had no prior knowledge of this company but would definitely use them again in future.

It felt like Brian at ask my Architect literally waved a magic wand for our project. We were told by the council for years that extending our property to the side of the house was simply not allowable because of planning rules associated with building lines at the end of our street. When I mentioned this to Brian he said that he would be able to use local precedents in the area to be able to provide a strong case for the project. I was initially sceptical given the battles I’d had and the letters I’ve had from the council. But Brian obtained full planning permission for the project within a matter of a few short months. Brian MacEntee and AMA designed an extension to our home.
This comprised the demolition of a side garage and the creation of a kitchen and lounge area that was in keeping with the overall look and feel of the rest of the building.
We didn't want the ubiquitous 'box extension' that is usually proposed for this kind of project.
Brian's initial visit fully explored our thinking for the work and challenged some of our assumptions and expectations. From initial sketches, on site-drawings and then various telephone conversations we were delighted with the final drawings which were only slightly tweaked over the subsequent days to arrive at the finished article.
His liaison with our builders ensured the completed project conformed to the original vision. The entire work AMA did was completed on time and in line with the original quote.
The work AMA did for us has transformed the way we live in our home, added value and provided an element of pleasure that cannot be quantified which it still does some 4 years later.

Within one short visit to our house we were provided with an outline of three different approaches adding ideas into the mix that we hadn't even thought of. What do you love most about your job?
The most rewarding part of our job is helping private clients achieve the projects that they have always dreamed of at their homes. We take great satisfaction in helping domestic clients who know very little about the construction process with realising their build.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always wanted to own and run my own business from an early age. As soon as I had the necessary level of experience I decided to set up my own practice and noticed that there was a gap in the market for an Architectural company that specialised in renovations and extensions to domestic properties that wouldn't cost the home owner a lot.
