Excellent content expertise AND customer service based on multiple phone calls over the last year. An actual person picks up the phone when you call and every person I have spoken to has been able to succinctly summarize answers and/or resolutions to my questions. I rarely spend more than 10 minutes on the phone (and that typically covers multiple topics). Trying to stay compliant with the complicated tax regulations around household employees is so difficult that a service provider like HomePay really is necessary if you want to maintain your sanity -- especially if you have multiple employees. Setup is easy, they're always helpful on the phone, and always get back pretty quickly via email. I wish it didn't cost so much per each extra employee, though. In certain situations to remain in compliance you need to pay taxes on folks you use only once or twice, and having to pay the fee makes it almost not worth it to hire them (or to comply with the regulations, which, of course, you should).In an ideal world we wouldn't need HomePay, but as long as the rules are as complex as they are, I'm glad they exist and would recommend them. HomePay is a terrific payroll service - they take care of EVERYTHING for you.  Every time I call, I'm able to get in touch with an actual person quickly and I am amazed every time that whoever I talk with is able to get up to speed after a brief review of my account.  All of the employees are super knowledgeable and the level of service from everyone I have interacted with at this company is top notch.  We tried a different payroll agency for a time and it was a nightmare and they couldn't compete with the customer service and professionalism of HomePay.  I would highly recommend this company to anyone and will continue to use there service for as long as we have a nanny employed. Great service! Allows me to be hands off and just enter the hours each pay period. Whenever I've had a question or needed assistance the customer service has been amazing! They even let us set up a second direct deposit account for our nanny so she can put some money into savings. I came from Intuit and transferred over when they discontinued their service. I love that I don't have to worry about the tax stuff anymore-- felt like I was moonlighting as a CPA before and now I know it's handled seamlessly.No complaints and will continue to use them! I cannot recommend this company enough.  Their customer service is hands down some of the best that I have experienced in the US.  Someone always answers the phone and every person who answers is deeply knowledgeable about whatever question I throw at them, including the intricacies of state law compliance (and keep in mind that they serve the entire US so it's amazing that they seem to know the law of every state without needing a moment's pause).  Their proficiency strikes me every time I talk to them - so much so that I've even asked them how they consistently hire such great people.  The pleasant man on the other end said that the company takes training very seriously - well, it shows.Regarding the other responses about the expense, yes, I suppose it is an expensive service but  for me, it is well worth it.  Having hired help in general is expensive, especially for that regrettably small percentage of the population that chooses to comply with our tax laws (and yes, this is a plug for paying your nanny above the table - if you can afford a nanny, you can afford to pay them legally!!).  But that aside, this company makes compliance easy and the peace of mind they have given me over the years is invaluable.  They also are entirely focused on in home help, which for me is the big difference.  I suppose I could go to an ADP or something like that but I don't want to bother myself figuring out any of the details about the hiring etc. and all the special forms needed.  HomePay makes that part so easy - I have placed three nannies on payroll with them over the years and each time they send me all the paper work I need to fill out and have gotten us up and running seamlessly.  It's easy and, at this time in my life - with two little kids and working full time - I need easy and I am willing to pay for that.  Incidentally, I had an unfortunate situation with a former employee and called them for advice.  They were incredibly helpful and gave me lots of support and information for how to deal with that - all as part of normal customer service (no extra fees).  I ended up needing to get a lawyer and hired the one that HomePay recommended and could not have been happier with her services.
