I came to my session with Lydia seeking healing from a traumatic birth and unplanned C-section, which has led to ongoing leg numbness, back pain, and other challenges. Lydia started by asking me questions about my birth and then began the treatment by performing muscular tests. I was shocked by how much I was compensating with other muscles instead of using my core! Then she helped teach me how to release my scar and re-train my brain to use my core muscles correctly. I could feel the area around the scar softening during the release. I was amazed at how much strength I gained in my weaker, numb leg such a short time with the re-patterning. Lydia then took a short video of the exercises on my phone so I could continue the work at home and retain my results. That has been very manageable as it only takes me a few minutes each day. Lydia is both intelligent and intuitive. She is fully present with you at all times and calmly adjusts her approach based on the feedback she receives, physically and energetically. I would HIGHLY recommend Lydia to any momma struggling with finding peace in your body after a C-section, or anyone with chronic pain. More...

Lydia is unusually knowledgable about both yoga therapy and a neurokinetic technique that restores functionality that scar tissue has blocked. For me, she assessed and manually worked on an abdominal scar that prevented core muscles from firing. So my weakness/blockage was not in the muscles themselves, but in the neuro-pathway. After Lydia worked on the scar, my core muscles were quickly strengthened. She then gave me exercises to retain and keep improving, and made short videos that help me remember what to do. I highly recommend working with Lydia if you have scars, especially in the abdominal area where core muscles are likely to be hindered by the scar tissue. If your strength problem is in the neurological connection, as it was for me, then working out at the gym won't be fully effective until the neurological connection is restored. Best wishes for full power! More...

Lydia is a very beautiful soul, she has a lot of wisdom and passion in preserving the integrity and sacredness of yoga in a every day life application. She has given me amazing pointers on how to help my low back pain issues, and she really brings her heart to the work that she does with clients. I found her to care very deeply about "Big picture" things and that we are all part of something intricately beautiful in LIFE together. We all have our part to contribute and the spirit of yoga is something so profoundly beautiful that is interwoven within this. Thank you Lydia for being such a beautiful heart and for your boundless passion for the service and work you do! More...

I've had chronic low back pain for the past few years, so when I met Lydia Jane I decided to try yoga therapy. I had never even heard of yoga therapy, but it sounded interesting. It only took a few visits for Lydia to teach me what to do to prevent the pain and also what to do if I noticed the pain starting. Now, when I fist start to feel it in my back I use a few specific yoga therapy moves that Lydia taught me. It works! More...

I am a 60 year old retired journalist. I've been swimming almost all my life, but a couple of months ago ear problems forced me out of the swimming pool. So I began exploring more ways of staying fit and healthy at the Asheville YMCA. I joined Lydia's therapeutic yoga class and is enjoying it so much that I will keep on attending her class once I can return to the pool. She has extensive knowledge of how the body works and what to do to make the body work most effectively and free of pain. She also has a natural gift of explaining everything in a very understandable way. I now try to be more aware of posture and her class acts as a weekly tune-up and energizer. I am sure that I will eventually be a much stronger swimmer. Thank you, Lydia! More...
