I have been using Ashby Flowers to deliver flowers to my mom for her birthday for the last few years. I live in DC and my mom lives in Berkeley and this is the only shop I use. I usually give them a budget and tell them to use whatever they want and they turn out gorgeous every year! They make beautiful arrangements and are very reasonably priced. When I called last year, the woman I spoke with was so excited that I was sending my mom flowers and she went above and beyond. Wonderful little shop with a surprising selection of plants, live, and cut flowers given the size of the shop. The woman that helped me was friendly and efficient. Came here on a Tuesday after work looking for something nice to give my wife for our 2 year wedding anniversary. I had an idea to recreate her Fall-themed wedding bouquet that had all sorts of organic/earth tone flowers. I was met by a friendly guy who I believe was named John who was more than happy to help. We chatted about marriage and wives and all sorts of bay area related things while he picked out various flowers from all over the shop over about 20 minutes. Each time he would bundle it and compare to the picture I gave him of the bouquet and go back to pick more. In the end he gave me this set that left my wife floored with how closely it resembled the colors of her bouquet and thrilled at the idea of getting to see her wedding bouquet around the house for the next week. All in all I'm more than pleased and thankful to the staff here for making it an unforgettable 2nd anniversary. More...

This is why small businesses exist. The personalized service and advice for my daughter's wedding could not have been more perfect. Marcy took one of the most vexing aspects of the affair and set us at ease long before the finial day and greatly eased the tension for such an important day. She transformed the location into the most beautiful setting and at a price well below others who did not inspire the same confidence.
