I decided to have a birthday party for myself at my home but I wasn't sure what I was going to do about food. An early birthday gift came my way, I read all these amazing Yelp reviews about Jason and gave him a call. He asked what it was I wanted to do, gave me some great suggestions and emailed me a menu with some ideas. I found him to be a great communicator and he had really good ideas. He knew it was my birthday and suggested I get a server to help out so I could enjoy myself. Best idea ever...We decided to do a buffet style set up, which looked beautiful and most importantly all the food was outstanding. My guests could not stop raving about how delicious all the food was. Jason is truly talented, very professional and a nice person. I would most definitely use him again and I highly recommend him. Jason and his amazing team did a fabulous job of catering an event for me last night.It handled 100 plus people with grace and professionalism.  The food looked wonderful andtasted even better. Hot things were hot, cold things were cold. I'd never catered a party before - and waited til the last minute. Jason was not only available, but got right to work with a week's notice! He came to my home, did a walk through, we sat and he made recommendations. He offered great suggestions, and was incredibly easy to work with. He went above and beyond with ideas and options. On the day of the party he arrived early, stayed late, and made sure everything was perfect. The two additional employees he hired were friendly, professional and excellent. Our server Ed was beyond helpful, sweet, and everyone adored him. Prepare to stand back and relinquish your kitchen when Jason arrives! He takes over - but in a good, confident way, that allows you to relax and not worry about a thing. This was my first party i didn't have to worry! The food was first class, top notch. Fresh, inventive, four-star! My guests raved about the food, and there was MORE than enough to go around. I highly recommend Jason and his team, and trust his judgement with recommendations for whatever kind of party you're having! Jason did a last minute 4 course sit down birthday dinner for husband along with a cocktail hour.  The food, service, and Jason and staff were delightful.  Jason is so low key and yet goes through every detail with you from the cocktail hour to the dinner menu that nothing is left to chance.  We have a kosher home and Jason was willing and able to prepare a meal that met all of our dietary needs with no fuss and no muss.  Will we use Jason again..they is no doubt about it.  He was a pleasure and all our guests and the birthday boy were delighted with a fabulous meal. After being let down by another caterer -- who did not respond for an entire week and then being offered a lame excuse that they were "sick" -- I searched and found Jason through Yelp. I myself have been more than a little unwell, in and out of the hospital for the past month or more, with a major surgery and continued outpatient procedures, and was still determined to make myself available to speak with the caterer despite the great physical pain I was and am still in. I needed someone who would handle everything from beginning to end so that I could relax and enjoy a little get together that I was putting together for my elderly father who was visiting from the east coast, and some of his friends. From my experience with Jason and Artful Foods Catering, I would have to say that all the reviews on Yelp are most definitely well earned. Jason is a wonderful chef, with great attention to detail, a very organized and capable party coordinator, and a man of great integrity. His server, Jolie, was absolutely top notch too. You can stop you search right here, and call and speak with him to set up exactly what you want and need. He is more than willing to come meet with you and to work within your budget, and both you and your guests will be delighted with his culinary concoctions. My husband surprised me with an early birthday party for 35 people.  He had enlisted our daughter to find a caterer and Jason was the recommendation.  Jason and my husband had many conversations in the months prior to the party.  Jason even came to the house to plan how the transformation of the space would take place.  There were many challenges for this event since it all had to be done within a time frame and with me in the house - not the usual surprise scenario.  On the day of the surprise, he and his crew swept in, and in a most professional way, simultaneously moved furniture, prepared the tables, started cooking, and set up the bar.  When the party was over, they cleaned up and put everything back as it was before they arrived.And then there was the food...appetizers, salad, entrees, side dishes, and dessert.  My husband was able to choose the menu from many possibilities...tuna tartare, chicken spring rolls, bite-sized mushroom quiches, salmon, filet mignon, quinoa, lobster mac and cheese, agnolotti (pumpkin filled ravoli), tiny éclairs and other sweets.  It was all wonderful.  A friend who comes from Kansas City remarked it was the best steak he had ever tasted.  Jason was also able to accommodate special dietary needs.We highly recommend Jason and his staff for any of your party needs...he brings a complete package and does the worrying for you. My colleagues and I had a very important work event to put together and we wanted to make certain we made the best impression while having to work within a fixed budget.  In addition, we needed a beautiful production (tables, flowers, linens, etc.) to accompany delicious food.   Jason accomplished it all with flawless execution. Jason spent A LOT of time with us during the planning phase due to the fact that there were many people with whom we had to confer as well as perpetual changes.  All along the way he was generous with his time and talent in offering input on the best way to  have a wonderful evening. Working within the venue's parameters presented some challenges, and though it wasn't an ideal situation for Jason, he dealt with it well and just made it work. Even day-of surprises didn't get in the way of having a wonderful event. The staff were friendly, organized and focused on getting the work done in the best possible manner.   The guests loved the food.  The venue looked beautiful.  The bar and the buffet were always well stocked.  The cleanup was organized and detailed. I had to hire a caterer for a business holiday event and Jason was hands down the most informative, patient, and people person -chef I dealt with from the beginning, just getting a quote! When it finally came to the event the food was amazing! Especially the tuna tar tar yum! Everyone (+40 guests) loved all the menu items + drinks. Chef Jason just catered a dinner party for eight at our home.  We were extremely pleased with the food and the team that worked with him. We would definitely use him again for an event at our home as well as recommend him to friends and neighbors. He took the time to speak with me about the menu and to present various options.  His price was reasonable for a four course sit down dinner.  I liked that he came to the house and provided helpful advice re the wine selection as well as table settings based on our budget and my own tableware. The food was exceptional and the presentation was elegant.  The ChateauBriand was wonderful - so tender.  All  in all, Jason  and his team made the evening enjoyable for me and truly a success. Unbelievably good experience. Jason dealt with everything we threw at him. A challenging venue, a big brand with a demanding crowd, custom menu's and changing numbers of people. In short - we were a tough event!The food was fantastic, but as important, was the ability of him and his team to blend into the event that we were hosting. Artful foods catering:We recently hired Chef Jason and his incredible team of people to cater a dinner party for 30 friends. From start to finish, Chef Jason was thorough and professional. Prior to the event he came to see our house and layout for the party. He asked lots of thoughtful questions to help the success of the party. He offered a range of items from course to course, it was hard to narrow it down! Once we selected the menu he tweaked whatever he could to help the liking of all eaters ( no garlic, vegetarians, etc) He also helped work within our budget, to create an incredible 5 star meal. Let's just say the night exceeded our expectations. Our guests ( and us)  were blown away by the presentation and the flavors in every dish. After the meal our kitchen was spotless, and the fridge was filled with all the left overs, including any left over ingredients. Chef jason was someone I found on yelp and trust me, so glad I took a risk and went based off of yelp! You will not be disappointed, as our foodie friends were in awe...And still are! More...

Artful Foods Catering rocked my daughter's baby shower yesterday. Plentiful, beautifully displayed and most importantly, scrumptious is how I'd describe Jason's food. His staff was equally incredible and competent. When the party was over, my kitchen was immaculate, extra food was boxed in the frig and the guests' emails poured in exclaiming the virtues of the meal.
