Aromas is a little cosy family run restaurant with authentic Nepalese/Indian cuisine. Father and the head chef of the family has spent more than 27 years working as a chef. Since we opened our little venture in Forest Gate, we have received lots of praise and love for our food and won the Love London time out award and reached finals of couple of curry awards.

This is my very favourite place to eat out. A wonderful family business who care about their customers and about the quality of food served. Aromas were recommended to me by a good friend of mine I’ve known since college. I love Indian food and was looking forward to our meal.
The restaurant is small but at the same time, adequate for the location. It has an intimate setting inside and is warm and inviting.
The greet we received was friendly and polite. I chose the table we sat at which is a bonus for me.
We ordered the chicken tikka, lamb kebabs that sizzled on a hot plate and daal.
The daal was beautiful. Bright in colour and had a good kick to it packed full of flavour. I had a relatively decent portion and took home what I couldn’t finish.
My kebabs were tasty and cooked well.
For another dish, we shared a potato curry and buttered naan. The naan is huge. Definitely enough for 2 people unless you don’t like sharing your food or have a sizeable appetite.
The service provided is what I look for when eating in restaurants. There was a new member of staff who started the day my friend and I ate in the restaurant. She was great. Very helpful and both members of staff couldn’t do enough for us.
I took home the left over potato curry which I ate with a toasted bagel-not as good as a buttered naan but improvising was needed.
Sadly, I don’t live in Newham anymore but I will definitely make sure that when I’m next visiting, that I stop by for a takeaway or another sit down meal.
For those of you who drive, there are shared use bays off the road the restaurant is situated.

This is an excellent small restaurant and home delivery business. Food is unfailingly first class, service friendly and efficient. The menu is very different from the standard curry house, with some very good fish and lamb dishes. Just across the road from Forest Gate station, and with nearby bus stops Aromas is conveniently located for anyone who wants a good meal in E7. Consistently the best non-veg Indian in the area. Ordered food home for my birthday and have no complaints. Only positive feedback here.
The food arrived hot and on time, the portion size was HUGE we all got stuffed and the taste was lovely.
The driver was extremely polite and even wished me happy birthday. To add to all of that we got a free meal as a birthday present.
AMAZING!!!
I am definitely going to visit or order from here again and would recommend everyone else to do the same.
