Everyone needs to try at least one arepa from Arepa Culture. It will change your life!!! My personal favorite is the 'Reina Pepiada' (it's the one with chicken salad and avocado). The 'Veggie Lovers' is also excellent. I love that they not only have vegetarian options, but you can make many of them vegan as well! The staff is excellent, super informative and nice. Yum! I *heart* Arepa Culture NC. I think my family has tried every arepa on the menu now and our top 3 favorites are the La Tica (pulled chicken that is SO tender and flavorful). .. I am personal fan of the salmon arepa. The fish is cooked to perfection and the lemon caper sauce, well, the sauce is AMAZING. And the La Caprese is a delish and filling. The green sauce that comes in the side with each arepa is so good, we hoard it to use on food we cook at home.Run. Don't walk! Find them. They are worth it! More...

Delicious and fresh gluten-free arepas! I've ordered their pork, chicken, beef, and salmon arepas. All are very, very tasty, and the sauces were flavorful and not overly salty. I hope Arepa Culture plans to open a brick and mortar location too! I much prefer their cooking and quality to Guasaca. They might be more expensive but the quality difference is tremendous. I find one arepa is sufficient for a meal (the corn arepa is very filling), but they are so delicious I can easily wolf down two in a sitting. More...

OMG, soooo good!  We had the chicken, pork, and beef ones, and they were all quite delish!  I am going to try the three meats on one arepa next time, so that I can enjoy all three, because I couldn't finish two of them, because of the generous portion of meat in them!  So fresh, so flavorful, and so darn good!  We will continue to stalk their whereabouts and eat there again soon!!! I love their arepas! I had the opportunity to try them first the the NC State fair and became obsessed ever since! I love the chicken (la tica) and the bbq (la sureña) ones. . they are so flavorful, full of meat and super cheesy at the end! Every bite is rich and full of flavor.  Also their sauces are delicious, especially the orange sauce.  It is spicy.  Definitely recommend them! More...

This is my ONE THOUSANDTH REVIEW, people. I've been doing this gig for so long that my friends have gotten pregnant, had kids, and the kids are now in school, and here I am still Yelping away blissfully. "Blissful" describes these arepas. I quickly jotted down "wow this is amazing" as I was eating. I only even went outside after seeing other people have arepas on their tables, and then my friend got some for himself. He got the multi-meat version, but I wanted some of the traditional flavor so I got the pork and brisket ones.First, the arepa itself, that corn shell that makes or breaks this dish - perfect. The right thickness, done crispy outside but still soft inside, folds up nicely around the ingredients. Now, the meats and other fillings. Generous. Two arepas for $11 or so makes a solid lunch. The flavor is exquisite and bursts forth with every bite. You can fill your mouth with arepa several times each.Finally, the service - this truck hands out beepers! Haven't seen that system used on the truck level before, but since I was at a brewery when they were outside, this was perfect to go back in and have a few sips before the buzz. I wasn't waiting long, either. This truck knows how to make and serve arepas. I would recommend them ONE THOUSAND percent. See what I did there? Bad math. Bad math is what I did there. More...

Just for the record, I'm a salmon snob and try to stay away from farmed-raised or Fukushima fish, but when I found out that their fish arepa was made with grilled Norwegian salmon, I was hooked! We tried Arepa last night in Wake Forest and loved it!! First time trying the the Arepa Culture NC food truck ad I'm glad I did. I really enjoy arepas and these do not disappoint. Their pork arepas is by far the best with the beef my next favorite. The chicken was good but I don't think the Italians flavors don't really work with the corn meal arepa. It would be nice to get more authentic South American flavors, something more exotic and adventurous for the American pallet. But of course the guasaca cilantro sauce if off the chain! More...
