We had wood front porch railing Lu which almost broken and it was quite dangerous. I contacted Asad by email and received email back for appointment and sample of the design. We're very pleased with Asad's quality of work and professionalism. He listens to what you need and accommodates in a collaborative way. He doesn't make you feel like you're 'just another job' to him; he genuinely cares about the end product being exactly what you want. I was very lucky to find Asad to do our railings. I had contacted four contractors and Architect Iron Work's work is impressed us with reasonable price and detail work. We also visited their workshop and there we saw how detail and beautiful finish they put on the railings. All the joints are very smooth and final design was pretty! Great Experience. Needed some railings installed on the front step of my house. Got a quick estimate after seeing all the good reviews for this company. After meeting with Asad and receiving some excellent advice for the design and installation options, we agreed to proceed with the project. Asad designed & built a unique iron landing for a set of new sliding doors at the back of the house. It allowed a sitting area above the patio & then 3 steps down to the patio. The structure is very simple with grey composite flooring & 4 simple posts anchored to the patio. The design provides an open space below the deck so that you can still look out from the basement windows & see the garden. I added a 6 inch wide cedar cap to warm up the appearance of the iron railings as well as to provide a great place to lean & rest a drink (Asad's idea & it looks great).

In 2012 I had porch railings, side gate and patio railing installed.
Gate closing had become difficult over time, probably shifting due to our harsh winters. Asad came out and made adjustments and even touched up the paint for me. This was done at no charge.

We ordered a handrail and two gates from Architectural Iron Works.
They came and made accurate measurements and gave us an abundant choice of styles to choose from their photo gallery. At the time of the first installation attempt, it became apparent very quickly that the company who did their painting had not matched the paint correctly. Without any hesitation, the handrail and gates were taken back and two weeks later, with the correct paint applied, the job was complete. Asad's company installed my custom railing railing 2 years ago. It was well-made and-well installed. Within 2 years, the paint started to rust and flake badly even though it had been properly undercoated and painted by powder-coating, before being installed. When I called Asad this June and told him of the problem, he came to see it and agreed that this should not have happened. Without hesitation, he has his installers remove the railing and had it sent out for sandblasting and refinishing. After less than a week, the refinished railing was reinstalled and looked perfect again.

Asad was the nicest artisan to work with throughout the whole process of designing and constructing a major staircase for an older home. He made two home visits prior to finalizing the plan. He even suited my schedule for installation which was not easy. The staircase was very large and had to be constructed to assemble in components and it went together onsite just like Lego blocks in a few short hours with his competent crew. We have a 'curved' 12 step staircase which required a rod iron railing. We required the design and installation of an iron garden gate, and contacted a number of companies for a quotation. Asad came to our home to review our site, and was able to quickly deliver a drawing and estimate that matched our needs. We wanted iron railings for our new stone porch that has curved steps. We interviewed several companies before going with Architectural Iron Works. One of the reasons we chose Assad and his team is because Assad uses hot dip galvanizing to coat his finished product. We love the way wrought iron railings look, but they are prone to rust as a result of Canadian winters if they are not properly taken care of. Assad's work is beautiful and he takes care with what he does. I was pleased when I saw one of the team was taking the extra effort to to caulk the base of the support rods, so no water would seep in between the iron and stone steps. Unfortunately, that team member was a bit sloppy and could use better training. I have been assured this will be corrected. It was also delightful to deal with Maryam, who administers the office. We love our new staircase, it is only 4 steps down into a sunken living room but it adds so much to the room. We wanted an open concept which was easy for Asad to do. The challenge was to get the base in the correct location as we have infloor heating. When Asad made the trip to measure he had one design in mind and then changed it once he was back to the shop. His measurements were exact. I was worried when he came to install that the screws would penetrate the pipes but it turned out perfect. We got the best design I could have hoped for. We recently refurbished our small second floor balcony that overlooks Lake Ontario. We looked into several prefabricated railing products available from major hardware stores. We found them to have limited flexibility – particularly as regards post spacing and colour choice – as well as being rather heavy looking and expensive. Based on one actual experience with such products, I was also sceptical as to their structural integrity and strength. (As a retired structural engineer, I care a lot about safe railings.)

We decided that a one-piece wrought iron railing would give us the clean, slender and elegant lines, coupled with necessary structural rigidity, we were seeking. We were pleasantly surprised that our uncompromised wrought iron choice was materially less expensive than any of those “kits” that all had features that we did not prefer.

Your work and workmanship is exemplary. We are so glad that we found you – and just in time to save us from a lasting mistake! We are so pleased with your work, your level of care and you courtesy. In short, you were a pleasure to deal with.

About 5 years ago I asked Architectural Iron Works to design and install a wrought iron railing for my front porch - it was beautiful. Choosing Architectural Iron Works was the best decision we could have made. The design selection was tremendous and the craftsmanship was amazing. Asad's precision and attention to detail made the installation quick and easy. For those not familiar with wrought iron, the galvanizing process takes roughly two weeks on top of the actual fabrication time but it is well worth the wait as the finished product really stands out and makes their railings more aesthetically pleasing than any other railing/wrought iron companies that we considered for this project.
