My husband and I took our 1 year old German Shepherd to Gina and Favian for training and were very satisfied with the results. Our pup (Ziva) was very well behaved upon pickup and we witnessed a tremendous difference. Favian provided a clear overview of the steps taken and great steps to continue at home once she was complete. Thank you again for all you two have done. Ziva is doing great! More...

Gina was amazing she trained my Bernese Mountain dog to walk on the leash without pulling. He walks right besides me now, you wouldn’t even think that your walking a dog! She taught him to stay in “place” and not move until he is released. She taught us everything we need to know so that we continue to work with him at home. No more jumping on people! We are so happy and impressed!!! Thank you Gina! More...

We showed up with 2 dogs (brother and sister) thinking we were never going to have a quiet life again. Never a gentle fun walk or a pleasant drive in the car. I’m so glad she proved us wrong. We’ve only had them home 4 days but the transformation is unbelievable. Walks are pleasant and using her training techniques I’ve started with them on their bad behaviors she couldn’t have known about. It’s super easy to understand and I feel like I’ve taken my house back. I couldn’t be happier. Thank you so much. More...

We were at the end of our rope with our 4 year old GSD. He had developed some very back habits over the last couple of years. He needed a reset. He went to training with Gina for two weeks and came back as Thor 2.0! Today I took Thor for a walk. No pulling at all. In addition, he had several very tempting opportunities to bark and behave like an idiot like he would have before training with Gina. First we walked up on a yellow lab that was not on a leash and no human in sight. This other dog in the past has been on an invisible fence. Today the lab did not have on the receiver. Yes the dog was that close and acting aggressive. Thor stayed by my side, walked with me, and did not engage. The dog's owner came out. Again, no barking. Moving onto the next street. Two workmen in the driveway next to where he was walking - nothing. A lady pushing a stroller on the same side of the road - nothing. A man counting money as he walked back to the airport shuttle - nothing. This is usually his favorite type of person to punk (bark at), the one that is not paying attention. Next road, a young girl walking a very out of control dog - nothing. Two bicyclists - nothing. When we got home we worked on Thor's place command and started adding in distractions and more time. He is an ice monster and comes running as soon as he hears the ice dispenser. I filled a cup with ice while he was in place, he didn't budge. A worked from the landscaping company came into the backyard to do service while he was in place. He barked once (got a little correction), didn't bark again and remained in his place until he was removed. Thank you Gina!! I know that we still have work to do but his progress thus far has been nothing short of remarkable! More...

We brought our 1 year old German Shepard (Jaxson) to Applied Canine Concepts because he needed to learn manners, how to walk properly on a leash, and had fear aggressive tendencies. After 2 weeks, he feels like a brand new dog! He now can walk great on a leash, walk in and out of the house and car doors without rushing, and stays on “place”. With ongoing training we can’t wait to see how much more he improves. I highly recommend Gina, she is amazing! More...

Although I was hesitant to send my baby away for two weeks, it was the best decision I have made! The accomplishments that were achieved in two weeks time were amazing! I sent away an unruly puppy who just didn’t want to listen and pulled me everywhere to a puppy who knows his commands, listens and walks at my side. He would bark uncontrollably at other dogs, I couldn’t take him anywhere....not anymore, he is so well behaved and such a pleasure to be around. People who knew my dog prior to training are amazed! I recommend Applied Canine Concepts to everyone! Not only do they know how to train, they are very caring and you can tell they love what they do and will care for your pet as though it was their own! More...

Where do I start to explain what an incredible experience We had with Gina at Applied Canine Concepts. We have two dogs with two separate needs. At the time a 7 year old Bichon Frise who had a difficult time walking on leash without pulling me down the street. He also, had a tough time staying in an unfenced yard without running down the road when seeing a distraction. His other issue was door breaking. After 2 weeks working with Gina, he literally was a different dog with new and improved behaviors. Gina taught an old dog new tricks! She is beyond skilled at training dogs and their owners. We also have a mini golden doodle who was 11 weeks at the time she started training with Gina. Gina taught her to walk on leash next to us with a cute little Troy and no pulling. The puppy was exhibiting difficulty potty training. Gina helped us come up with a solution that helped us deal with the potty. Thank goodness for Place!! We love and admire Gina. She is the Expert! We highly recommend her and her beautiful location. More...

They have learned to stay in place until told. They are so enjoyable. I highly recommend Gina, she is a savior. I wouldn’t take them anywhere else. She has a beautiful training facility. This woman is such an amazing trainer. I have seen her take puppies and dogs of all sorts of breeds and help them become what their owners need, whether that is a well-behaved pet that they can take out with them or even a service dog. She is all around an awesome person and has been such a joy to work with. She has helped me train my puppy into a fantastic dog. I know both my dog and I will continue to grow and learn as we keep working with her. She has been such a blessing to me and I highly recommend her because of her great work ethic, skill, knowledge, and passion.
