Apiary

Apiary has fantastic breakfasts and lunches, and I have used them for catering many times in a pinch.  They are also the healthiest takeout in town and I can either call ahead or have it delivered! I am personally grateful that they don't randomly throw cheese or butter into everything like so many places do. A few favorites include the spinach and arugula salads, avocado toast with an egg, their bolognese, and their sandwich platters - the turkey and black forest ham w brie get gobbled up first whenever I do a big variety platter.  Oh, also, I don't drink coffee very often but theirs is the best I've ever had. Love the atmosphere and location of this place. It's so cute, unassuming and roomy when it comes to seating. Also love that they offer gluten-free toast, organic eggs and Turkey hash (as opposed to the usual corned beef hash). Went back.  The service and food were reasonable for a lunch spot.  I would think of it more as a quick service place than a restaurant.  The chicken salad wrap was tasty.

Apiary is a wonderful eatery and caterer! My favorites are the avocado toast, baby kale salad with grapefruit and chicken and my kids love the chicken fingers and chili. Great lunch spot. I've come here a handful of times for lunch after I've gotten my hair done in the area. Service is friendly. It's more of an 'order at the counter' type of place, so don't expect full wait service. I've ordered a few items off their menu- avocado toast, philly cheese steak sandwich, and their kale salad. All very delicious. I do believe that their portions are a tad on the smaller side, but that's not a bad thing cause you can avoid over eating. I've also have tried their butternut squash soup a couple of times, but am not really a fan of it and probably will not order it again. Lemonade is tasty. I haven't tried their coffee yet but I plan on coming for breakfast one day and I'll give it a try then. Overall this is a lovely eatery with quick and friendly service, where one can get a nice meal. I'm looking forward to coming back next time I'm in the area and trying some more things. More...

I've had used Apiary in multiple capacities since my last review so I want to touch on them all:DINNER: Sometimes I order ahead and pick up. Sometimes I stop in and buy and now since they do delivery, it's even easier, you can even pick what time you want them to drop it buy. Perfect, since with 2 little kids it's often hard for me to get over to pick up myself.LUNCH: Avoid the mad crowds at Stanz or Auray and have a peaceful lunch at Apiary. Their sandwiches are terrific (I particularly love the Brisket and the Philly steak). My 3 year old loves the kids meals and I often try to steal a bite or two of his mac and cheese, it's so good.  My only lunch wish is that they'd have more options for people who don't eat red meat/pork products. But that's a small wish.CATERING: It doesn't have to be a huge gala! I had a dinner for 8 that I just couldn't deal with cooking on my own, so I had Apiary help out! I ordered sides and ready to grill marinated pieces. They were incredibly helpful about appropriate portion size and what people will likely select more of and helped me pick things that would go together. I appreciated not having to make all the decisions on my own AND not having to do all the work for the meal.FOOD PREFERENCES/ALLERGIES: Since everything is pretty much made to order, it's easy to let them know about food allergies and quite often they can make adjustments to accommodate any allergies. You can feel secure since there's not a huge kitchen staff. COOKING LESSONS: I've gone to 2 lessons through Larchmont Newcomer's Club and went to the dumpling making class Theresa held.  It was so much fun! I hope they add more classes because it's a treat to learn to make delicious food and sample it in the end. More...

If you are looking to eat both healthy and tasty food, Apiary has some great selections. They have fantastic options like lentil salad, brussel sprouts with bacon and they offer great soups.

We just had our daughters 10th birthday party at Apiary and it was the best experience! The girls had so much fun making their own pizzas, baking and decorating cookies, and learning to make their own vinaigrette for a yummy salad. All of the cooking was done in their commercial kitchen and the chef/owners did an amazing job of prepping each step and keeping the girls learning and enjoying themselves. They cooked/decorated cookies/baked the entire time before sitting down to eat their delicious dinner.  The experience was awesome and worth every penny! It was extremely well done and truly special. The staff here is always friendly, and it's always been kid-friendly.  When a group of us with babies/kids come in, they don't even blink an eye.  I love getting their spinach salad with bacon and goat cheese.  The soups are excellent and often vegan.  I've even ordered a platter of German potato salad for a party that got rave reviews. Looovvvveee it !! I been going there for half a year and I never actually eaten a chicken kale wrap , until this one girl told me to try it and I'm glad I did ! She was so helpful since the moment I got there ,  when I notice she was so quick at making the wrap I barely waited 3 mins until I got my food ! She was so kind and very energetic ! Wonderful service, wonderful food!  I was planning a baby shower for my daughter and son-in-law in NY and I live on Cape Cod.  Theresa was so timely and so helpful and kept in touch with me on a regular basis to ensure timelessness and superb expedition on a custom order that went off without a hitch. Amazing lobster roll!!!Whenever I'm in the area Apiary is my go to lunch spot.  The lobster roll is so good I've gotten it everytime.  Next trip I'll try one of the sandwiches.  During the taste of larchmont I tried their sample which consisted of steak corn and potato salad absolutely delicious.  Today I started with butternut squash soup which was fresh and delicious!My lobster roll was amazing as usual!Very relaxing atmosphere, cool playlist enjoyed listening to some Maxwell during my lunch and family friendly!Don't forget to check the desserts on the right side when you come in, the brownie is awesome.  Great gourmet restaurant, amazing service you won't be disappointed!!! I often stop in Apiary for coffee or lunch. They have good coffee and I really like their side salads (lentil salad, soba noodles, and quiona are my favorite). Their lobster roll is delicious! And the decor is simple and modern bistro so nice to be in!Their service is friendly but slow...it's not a great spot to stop for any of their sandwiches that they need to prepare if you're in a rush but that could change as they are still really new. We just had them cater my grandmother's birthday and for catering they were excellent! Food was delicious (marinated steaks, chicken, side salads, grilled vegetables with feta, shrimp platters) and well packaged. The only item I probably wouldn't order again was the crudite, it was totally fine and fresh but nothing particularly special about the veggie options or presentation. More...

I hired Apiary this past weekend to cater a memorial service for my mother.  After having tried to contact several other local places, I happened upon Apiary.  I sent an e-mail explaining what I wanted and was called immediately by the co-owners.  She discussed the event, listened to my ideas and then promised a proposal within in the next 2 days.  A detailed breakdown arrived in my "in box" that evening.  They even suggested that I order less food than I initially had proposed, saying that I had over-ordered.  On the day of the event, everything was packed neatly and organized with a check-list.  The staff brought it out to my car and were prompt and courteous and then they came to the event later in the day to pick up their platters.   The food was amazing - - fresh, interesting, healthy and beautifully presented.  My guests must have thought so too because sadly there were very few leftovers.  My highest recommendation for this great wonderful local place. Perfection. Fast casual fresh wholesome foods, especially for quick coffee, a casual  breakfast, brunch with a friend or brunch with your kids. If you want organic, locally sourced, high quality thoughtful food....this is my new go to gourmet shop. I was very happy with their Thanksgiving offerings. We ordered the Thanksgiving turkey seasoned and ready to go along with a few sides and were delighted. The turkey was moist, tied up and ready to roast and it delivered what they promised and more. The chocolate chip cookies are to die for.  One of our guests suggested he might move to Larchmont just for the cookies. Stopped in for a quick bite earlier this evening. Had a lobster roll a pretzel and a brownie. The lobster roll was perfect! ! Better than anything I had in MTK this summer.  The pretzel was on point too. I brought the brownie home to my gf. I didn't get to sample it.. It was gone in half a second. Im guessing it was good too. The guy working the counter was really friendly and offered me a few samples of their prepared foods. The bacon and potato salad was really tasty.
