Views are obviously AMAZING. Service was so great, we loved that our waiter actually seemed to care that our food took long. We did have to wait over an hour on Memorial Day which sucked with little kids. The food was good, nothing amazing but we'd definitely go back. More...
Super fun spot to visit! Lots of local shops and restaurants plus a breathtaking view of the lake! It's a really popular place for tourists and great for pictures and exploring.I recommend planning your visit and maybe getting a reservation for the restaurants if you plan on visiting during weekends. But you should be fine without one anyway. Just be prepared to possibly having to wait for 20min or so for a table. (Might not happend with you depending on the season and day you go). More...
We really enjoyed our visit. The drinks were on point and the food was great. This place is much more of a destination place than anything else. Lots of side stores and drinking holes. Our wait was 2 1/2 hours. For a place that brags about the number of people it can serve they needed to step it up. When they took us back to seat us, Most of the balcony was empty, but it had not been cleaned. We then had half the food brought out, and the rest of us waited, and waited.... and waited. About the time we flagged down the server and asked if they had just forgotten about us, the rest of the food finally arrived. Overall food was good and we had a good time. So only 4 stars, not 5 More...
This place has a happy and positive ambience which lifts up your mood instantly. Plenty of fun things to do- eat play shop. Oasis has amazing view and the cute love lock tradition with the wishing well. DO NOT Forget to get a caricature if you visit over weekend. Try colored caricature if possible! He is amazing at it!! A place and restaurant of breath taking views! Got there later in the day and had to wait in line for a table. Said 1 to 1/2 hours but actually less than 30 minutes. Food and service was great. A place you truly need to stop and enjoy in Austin. More...
I only went to this place for the view, but I ended up enjoying my food a lot. It was much better than I expected. The wait is going to be long so don’t show up starving. They have a nice bar to wait at and order drinks while you wait. It’s worth the view! More...
That's the most amazing place around Austin, and possibly the most amazing place in Texas! Breathtaking views, very Mediterranean feel and look! Oasis restaurant is totally a crowd gatherer, drinks were really good, ribs could be a notch better... but, hey, food is not the only thing a man needs ;) and what you have here, one cannot find in hundreds of miles around!!! Since moving back to the Toledo area, many folks have said we should try the food at the Oasis. Today was our first of what I know will be many visits. I had the best BLT sandwich of my life tonight :) More...

Last two of three orders delivered wrong. Plus had to wait another 25 minutes to get right order. No "I am sorry" nothing. Will not order again. Poor customer service.. need training badly. More...
The AWESOME factor! Go here for the views, the art, the shop and even the food. Now I have had trouble finding good food until I finally ordered the fajitas.
-Bring a cute lock or buy one from the gift shop.... Like San Francisco or France... You have the ability to lock a section of the railing forever.
-This place is huge but to get a great view... Get there early - plus the weather will be cooler then as well.
-Order Fajitas for two... This is enough food for 2 adults and 2 kids easily.
-Their drinks are strong and tasty if possible do that as well.
-Lastly, wonder around and take in all of the beautiful art. More...
Personally I don’t care what anyone else has to say about the oasis. It is such an awesome iconic location in Austin in general. The food may not be the best in town but the scenery definitely makes up for the rest and that’s what the oasis is a beautiful view a decent dinner and an ice cold margarita. I’ve always had a great experience here even from years ago when the entire place was made of wooden decks. Now it’s newly renovated version with different stores and optional restaurants is great too. love it. always will. More...
4 stars for the view and service, not for the food! Honestly, the food has improved in the past few years but it's still very average. Go for the strong drinks (the drink menu is plentiful! I recommend the sangria margarita) and of course legendary sunset view. Maybe the brewery next door has better food, but the service is really great. We didn't have to wait and we always felt taken care of. Parking is plentiful and the actual building itself is decorated with Austin vibes More...
We celebrated my girlfriends graduation this past Saturday and had a mixed experience. The on site hospitality was amazing. Allowing us to sit a party of 10+ in under a hour. However, our attempts to make a reservation for our party days prior to the event were not successful so we got a spot in direct sunlight. The hostess and waiters made attempts to adjust the shading, but our meal was rushed and hurried due to our needs to get out the elements. Food quality was great but an update to the menu would be nice. For a such an amazing view the food choices seemed mediocre. More...
A must see when visiting Austin. Several stories of grandeur. The gardens and statutes, provoked curiosities of its historical endeavors. Again areas for the for legged friends. A great view of lake Travis and quite the amalgamation of shops to explore. I even ate vegan ice cream and took a stroll. Free golf cart rides from the parking lot should you choose. (Be sure to tip). Quite large place, plan to spend at least and hour or two. More...
If you had asked me 6 months ago to rate the Oasis on Lake Travis, I would have given it four stars. For me I always thought of this place as somewhere to go for the view but not necessarily for the food. I recently came here for dinner with my family and I have to tell you, the food was amazing! I don't know if they changed the menu or if they changed the chef or management or what but something changed and I am very impressed! 5 out of 5 stars for me! More...
Great view! Good atmosphere. Good crowd. Est wait time was 1hr and a half but was seated within 30/35 min. (party of 2) Passed time ordering drinks at the bar, and lounging around the bar area and walked out on the patio for some sun. Was not a fan of the Tropical Depression drink. Now the Oasis Cooler I'd recommend! Food was good but not to die for. Ordered a hamburger, meat was slightly bland but added a little Chipotle mayo for flavor and I'd order it again. Waffle fries were delicious. Their chips and red salsa are very tasty. Service was great!! More...
This place has the absolute view and the food is delicious too. But it's a bit expensive and I don't think it is actually the price that you pay for the food itself. I believe they charge because of their popularity.
Other than that here are few other things that I would like to point out.
1. You should expect an average wait time of 30 minutes.
2. The interior is really good and its nicely decorated with some good collections.
3. They do have a gift shop in there.
4. You can host private parties in there. (Prior reservation is required)
5. There is a limit for alcohol per person.
6. Most of the items in the menu are really good.
7. They have a really good collection of mocktails, so check those out. More...
One of the most beautiful places to eat.
It's very popular place. We had lunch here once and they've got a very nice system in place to get to you while you wait. The waiting time varies by the Time you visit this place but they've got few places to hangout while you wait to be seated. Once your table is ready, they'll send you a text message and you have 10 minutes to report to the check-in. Also the food is great, service is fast and all the servers/staff are very friendly and helpful. The seating outside (lake view) is awesome and covered in colorful umbrellas(they also have fans for very hot weather).
This place is a treat to the eyes with great food!!
I would definitely recommend this. More...
This spot has a wonderful view of the awesome Lake Travis. I'd definitely recommend for anyone visiting to come here for the view alone. The food was cooked to perfection, but was a bit pricier than normal due to location. On top of all that, parking was easy to come by. A must visit for anyone! More...
I haven't been to the Oasis in years. It is almost surreal now. Definitely a tourist trap but, in a good way. They've done wonders with the place and it's well worth the visit if you've never been. And the food is better than the last time. Kudos to management and staff for the great time. More...
Awesome view and the food was pretty good. Got the fajita for 2 and one of their specialty drinks coming to about $55. I'd go here again only negative was the service. It was a bit packed and was understandable but we never got a refill on our waters after getting them initially and our water was rarely seen. More...
Went for the view to celebrate my wedding anniversary. A very lively place that has a lot going on. There happened to be a good band playing so made our wait not seem as long. We were told a two hour wait but only took one hour so we have no complaints. Ate on third terrace patio with lake view and a bit chilly but very wonderful experience. We were very pleased with our food. Definitely a place to go if looking for a memorable experience. More...
Ate at the Oasis earlier this evening and had such a wonderful experience. Enjoyed a beautiful sunset over Lake Travis and had a fabulous waiter, Daniel. He was so friendly and accommodating; we really appreciated him! Tasty food too and the gluten free items on the menu are outlined. Overall, very fun atmosphere and a good night with friends More...
Great views of the lake, some of the best in Austin, food is good but not as good as the view! Decent menu choice but nothing spectacular. It's really a 3 star on food (for Austin) and 5 star for view. Lots of outdoor seating but service does get slow when it's even medium traffic. Decent cocktails and a good choice of beers. More...
LOVE THIS PLACE! This restaurant looks over Lake Travis, and brings you alive. I took my family there for lunch. The food was ok The drinks were great. Depending on the time of day the service can be slow or fast. The place is clean and the atmosphere is warm and pleasant. Whenever you have guest come and visit you .. bring them here. You won't be disappointed. More...
Great place to visit. Wonderful view of Lake Travis and surrounding area. Beautiful tiered restaurant with great appetizers. The sculpture throughout were wonderful to see as were all the locks on the rails. Never saw that before.
First-time visitors. Have highly recommended to others so 've then. . We will go again when visiting from Michigan! More...
This place has a fantastic view of lake Travis and you can experience gorgeous sunsets here, which makes this place very special. The place is build into the hillside with multi levels. The staff is friendly and the food is good. You want to be early on weekends because it gets really packed. At least go have a drink and enjoy the scenery. You can have a good beer and sandwich in the brewery and enjoy live music.

Had an awesome visit! The view we had at sunset was beautiful and we captured many great photos. Defiantly plan to visit again. The food was ok, a little pricey but understandable for the location. The locks on the fences is a wonderful thing to view and something we plan on adding to next time. Overall service was good and the experience was great. Would recommend to a friend. More...
A friend and I ate at the Oasis a week ago. The weather was cool and cloudy but with heaters fired up outside it was very comfortable. We had low expectations given the reviews on google. I have to say, our food was excellent. We had a great experience. We were only in TX for four days and I’m grateful we made to the Oasis. More...

There are some places that you, the Traveler/Visitor/Explorer, simply must visit as you wander the surface of the Planet. The Oasis is one of those places in Austin, TX. I know, I know...you wanna be Cool... no Touristy stuff for you. Me too, but let's put that sentiment aside for a moment because in all actuality you'll be rubbing-shoulders with more Locals than Vagabonds.
The Oasis that I visited, 3X's now, has been built upon the ashes of the previous iteration of the Oasis. This one is bigger, more complex, and because it can accommodate more people...it does, or so I'm told.
The multi-level building stretches this-way and that-way and sits perched atop a very high mountain with an unobstructed view of Lake Travis and the land surrounding it for as far as the eye can see. Quite spectacular views. Evening is nice and Sunsets are it's speciality. While the food was not spectacular, it was good and the service was very agreeable during the very busy and not-so-very-busy times I visited. So,
Do yourself, and a friend or 2, a favor and pay a visit to the Oasis. Go prepared to immerse yourself in the surroundings, the energy, and the uniqueness of this Austin destination. It's a visit you'll not regret. More...

The views are absolutely gorgeous, especially at sunset. I came here twice. In the first time, the food was not that good, but a little pricey, and there were flying insects/bugs around. However, the service was good. In the second time, I was attending one of my friends weading, the food was pretty good. Drinks are good in general (coke has more water than usual). Atmosphere is amazing and music is pretty. Staff is always friendly. Some reviews say that expect a wait, especially on the weekends as this place does get busy, however, the view is beautiful and deserves some wait to enjoy it. The view is on a lake and most people come to watch the sun set over the water at night so this is a busy time as well. You need to wait to see it (do not leave before doing that :D) The place has live music a lot of the time which is pretty cool. Enjoy it More...
Every time we make it to Lake Travis we come here. Plan ahead to get a view of the sunset because they are very busy at sunset. The views are great anytime, but sunset is beautiful. They have good drinks, food and appetizers. There is much more than just a restaurant here. A few bars, old candy store, and other shops are here for shopping. More...
A tourist trap, but one that delivers. Dined with a large party and experienced perfectly reasonable service and and a wait that was long but correctly estimated. Beer from the brewery was good and there were comfortable places to wait. Food (I had chicken enchiladas) entirely met my expectations - good quantity and tasty enough. Plenty of better options exist but not at this scale or with these views. More...
The views are absolutely gorgeous. Bring people from out of town here every time. Food is pretty good, but a little pricey. Drinks are good. Atmosphere is amazing. Staff is always friendly. Expect a wait, especially on the weekends as this place does get busy, but it is beautiful here. It's on the lake and most people come to watch the sun set over the water at night so this is a busy time as well. Have live music a lot of the time which is pretty good. More...
My wife and I ate there on a Saturday night to celebrate our anniversary. After being told that there was a 2 hour wait to eat outside with the beautiful sunset view. We were called up in 45 minutes. The service was good not great but good. The amount of food they give you is great. However when ordering our nachos (which were huge) the chicken we added was a bit hard. Some pieces were even to hard to stab with a fork. Besides that the food was a 3/5. The atmosphere and view are beautiful. I would recommend to any one visiting Austin to try it out. More...
I love the chips and Salsa! It's a super fun place when they have live bands. But, just the same as any destination spot, it's super crowded on the weekends. If you'd like to see the sunset in a choice spot one weekend, then plan to make an evening of your dinner and get here around 4pm...
Great during the week though!! More...
I'm really glad I went here while visiting (from Houston) the view is amazing. Service is great, and I was surprised by the speed, given the fact that the place appeared relatively busy. I got the fajita combo for 2 and the amount of food is really good. My wife and I could not finish the food and I didn't even touch the tortillas. The fajitas are not going to blow you away, but they are good. It is affordable around maybe chili's price point. The atmosphere and view is enough to recommend this place to anyone visiting Austin. Best place for a nice romantic dinner. Great for Small Family outings. Food and Ambiance is great with perfect services. Not at all over priced. Place is aesthetically set up very beautifully with antiques all around and different levels of seating. If opting for an outdoor seating might want to carry a jacket or something to cover as it might get chilly. More...
I have used A O Design for years and am very satisfied with their web design and their service. David the owner is always available to answer any questions or help out when a potential issue arises.

As a consultant I deal with many people in many companies across many industries. One thing I am consistently asked is "Do you do websites?". Up until I got involved with A O Design and the owner David Watson, my answer was usually something along the lines of "No, but I can try and help you find someone." My answer now is, "No, but I have a guy." and that is literally all I need to do. I don't need to worry about people asking me why I sent them to him or coming back with horror stories of projects gone wrong. They "get" the web. David's experience with building his own company and his desire to be a source of knowledge and assistance can be a real asset for those getting their feet wet with getting a business going on the web.
