Views are obviously AMAZING. Service was so great, we loved that our waiter actually seemed to care that our food took long. We did have to wait over an hour on Memorial Day which sucked with little kids. The food was good, nothing amazing but we'd definitely go back. More...

Super fun spot to visit! Lots of local shops and restaurants plus a breathtaking view of the lake! It's a really popular place for tourists and great for pictures and exploring. I recommend planning your visit and maybe getting a reservation for the restaurants if you plan on visiting during weekends. But you should be fine without one anyway. Just be prepared to possibly having to wait for 20min or so for a table. (Might not happend with you depending on the season and day you go). More...

We really enjoyed our visit. The drinks were on point and the food was great. This place is much more of a destination place than anything else. Lots of side stores and drinking holes. Our wait was 2 1/2 hours. For a place that brags about the number of people it can serve they needed to step it up. When they took us back to seat us, Most of the balcony was empty, but it had not been cleaned. We then had half the food brought out, and the rest of us waited, and waited.... and waited. About the time we flagged down the server and asked if they had just forgotten about us, the rest of the food finally arrived. Overall food was good and we had a good time. So only 4 stars, not 5 More...

This place has a happy and positive ambience which lifts up your mood instantly. Plenty of fun things to do- eat play shop. Oasis has amazing view and the cute love lock tradition with the wishing well. DO NOT Forget to get a caricature if you visit over weekend. Try colored caricature if possible! He is amazing at it!! That's the most amazing place around Austin, and possibly the most amazing place in Texas! Breathtaking views, very Mediterranean feel and look! Oasis restaurant is totally a crowd gatherer, drinks were really good, ribs could be a notch better... but, hey, food is not the only thing a man needs ;) and what you have here, one cannot find in hundreds of miles around!!! The AWESOME factor! Go here for the views, the art, the shop and even the food. Now I have had trouble finding good food until I finally ordered the fajitas.

*****Cheat Sheet*****
-Bring a cute lock or buy one from the gift shop.... Like San Francisco or France... You have the ability to lock a section of the railing forever.
-This place is huge but to get a great view... Get there early - plus the weather will be cooler then as well.
-Order Fajitas for two... This is enough food for 2 adults and 2 kids easily.
-Their drinks are strong and tasty if possible do that as well.
-Lastly, wonder around and take in all of the beautiful art.

Personally I don’t care what anyone else has to say about the oasis. It is such an awesome iconic location in Austin in general. The food may not be the best in town but the scenery definitely makes up for the rest and that’s what the oasis is a beautiful view a decent dinner and an ice cold margarita. I’ve always had a great experience here even from years ago when the entire place was made of wooden decks. Now it’s newly renovated version with different stores and optional restaurants is great too. love it. always will. More...

4 stars for the view and service, not for the food! Honestly, the food has improved in the past few years but it's still very average. Go for the strong drinks (the drink menu is plentiful! I recommend the sangria margarita) and of course legendary sunset view. Maybe the brewery next door has better food, but the service is really great. We didn't have to wait and we always felt taken care of. Parking is plentiful and the actual building itself is decorated with Austin vibes More...

We celebrated my girlfriends graduation this past Saturday and had a mixed experience. The on site hospitality was amazing. Allowing us to sit a party of 10+ in under a hour. However, our attempts to make a reservation for our party days prior to the event were not successful so we got a spot in direct sunlight. The hostess and waiters made attempts to adjust the shading, but our meal was rushed and hurried due to our needs to get out the elements. Food quality was great but an update to the menu would be nice. For a such an amazing view the food choices seemed mediocre. More...

A must see when visiting Austin. Several stories of grandeur. The gardens and statutes, provoked curiosities of its historical endeavors. Again areas for the for legged friends. A great view of lake Travis and quite the amalgamation of shops to explore. I even ate vegan ice cream and took a stroll. Free golf cart rides from the parking lot should you choose. (Be sure to tip). Quite large place, plan to spend at least and hour or two. More...

If you had asked me 6 months ago to rate the Oasis on Lake Travis, I would have given it four stars. For me I always thought of this place as somewhere to go for the view but not necessarily for the food. I recently came here for dinner with my family and I have to tell you, the food was amazing! I don't know if they changed the menu or if they changed the chef or management or what but something changed and I am very impressed! 5 out of 5 stars for me! More...

Great view! Good atmosphere. Good crowd. Est wait time was 1hr and a half but was seated within 30/35 min. (party of 2) Passed time ordering drinks at the bar, and lounging around the bar area and walked out on the patio for some sun. Was not a fan of the Tropical Depression drink. Now the Oasis Cooler I'd recommend! Food was good but not to die for. Ordered a hamburger, meat was slightly bland but added a little Chipotle mayo for flavor and I'd order it again. Waffle fries were delicious. Their chips and red salsa are very tasty. Service was great!! More...

This place has the absolute view and the food is delicious too. But it's a bit expensive and I don't think it is actually the price that you pay for the food itself. I believe they charge because of their popularity.
Other than that here are few other things that I would like to point out.
1. You should expect an average wait time of 30 minutes.
2. The interior is really good and its nicely decorated with some good collections.
3. They do have a gift shop in there.
4. You can host private parties in there. (Prior reservation is required)
5. There is a limit for alcohol per person.
6. Most of the items in the menu are really good.
7. They have a really good collection of mocktails, so check those out.

One of the most beautiful places to eat.
It's very popular place. We had lunch here once and they've got a very nice system in place to get to you while you wait. The waiting time varies by the Time you visit this place but they've got few places to hangout while you wait to be seated. Once your table is ready, they'll send you a text message and you have 10 minutes to report to the check-in. Also the food is great, service is fast and all the servers/staff are very friendly and helpful. The seating outside (lake view) is awesome and covered in colorful umbrellas(they also have fans for very hot weather).
This place is a treat to the eyes with great food!!
I would definitely recommend this.

This place has a fantastic view of lake Travis and you can experience gorgeous sunsets here, which makes this place very special. The place is build into the hillside with multi levels. The staff is friendly and the food is good. You want to be early on weekends because it gets really packed. At least go have a drink and enjoy the scenery. You can have a good beer and sandwich in the brewery and enjoy live music.
