Drove up from Bridgeport on Wednesday after a friend in staven' told me about it.Met the owner and his daughter,real cool people. Real Italian from Brooklyn.I got an eggplant stuffed bread which me and my father shared.Eggplant like my mother used to make.Also had a sausage and pepper grinder(they call it a hero in Brooklyn),and it was about a foot and a half long .Delicious.Be back with my father. Food was amazing. The delivery was quick and it was still hot. Haven't had that in a very long time.We had the stuffed bread as a starter and that could actually be a course. It was really good.

The stuffed breads I ordered for New Years Eve were the BEST. Have had in a long time. We ordered a chicken parm, a ham, cheese & tomato and a pepperoni! Hands down the best local pizza/sub shop on the shoreline. we always order from them at my work, give them an hour or two notice and the food always shows up on time, delicious, and hot. Extremely rare to find a place that will take an order for 20+ people and not mess up with such short notice. if we could rate higher than 5 stars we would.

Broccoli Rabe & Chicken ParmThe breads were huge and stuffed with ingredients. They were well seasoned and tasted outstanding . The chef / owner was very helpful. I need to pick up the breads before they opened and he accommodated my need.   After trying their stuffed breads , and they were so good, I wanted to try their pizza . I got the clam and garlic white pizza. It was outstanding. Great food, great price! We just moved and this was the first place we tried. We ordered a large cheese and hot wings; I'm picky about wings and they were awesome! Very spicy, but not so much as to overpower the flavor. The pizza was good; the sauce had a unique flavor, different than what we were used to but it was still delicious! Most importantly it was big! I like this place because they will deliver to my house and no one else does Delivery in the area. Their pizza is very good-- always get the mozzarella with mushrooms. I'll echo the other reviewers' sentiment that they have amazing and huge grinders.  It's our go-to place for a satisfying sandwich in the area.  We absolutely love the steak and cheese with peppers, onions and mushrooms.  (And that is not something I'd usually order...I'm more of an eggplant or chicken parm girl).  *Good to note: they can be ordered as full or half size for a few dollars less.  For small eaters, the stuffed breads are also available as a personal size for $4.95. You'll pay a couple of dollars more, but you get your moneys' worth.  They bake their own bread and the difference is obvious.  I only had pizza once, so I definitely need to have it again to reach a fair opinion on it.  They let us sample the pepperoni stuffed bread last night and it was absolutely delicious...hot, cheesy and greasy in the right way.They have online ordering through Yelp or their website, which is very convenient, however we always end up waiting a bit when we arrive to pick up, so plan about 20-25 minutes at least, between ordering and picking up. Yum, but everything here is so massive!  You definitely get what you pay for.The prices are a bit higher compared to other pizza places in the area, but you also get a couple inches longer on your subs.  Salads are crazy large too, definitely split those and don't order a large just for yourself. It's nice that you are able to order online, but keep your phone hand because they will call you if they are out of something.  If you don't answer the phone, they'll just keep on with your order and you'll end up paying for something that ends up not being delivered to you, getting a credit isn't available since it is processed online.  There have also been times when we've called to place an order, but no one answers the phone (when their hours show they should totally be there).  Other than that, a solid 4 stars. No Place, no competition, no where else I will go! they make real home style Italiano food john Anthony's pizzeria, they bake their breads from scratch, when making their subs, my favorite is chicken cutlet broccoli rabe sub with provolone, also chicken cutlet parmigiana sub, oh & can't forget woohoo, their steak and cheese sub, they even have cheeseburger sub delicious! Packed with flavor goodness starting with the bread, and the portion is the size of Your arm ,love them! The stuff bread amazing,& the penne vodka dinner with chopped chicken cutlet mixed inside is my family favorite and last But not least, can't forget the chicken cutlet parmesan dinner is also our number one! Great pizza. Pepperoni could have been a little spicier, but that's just a small nitpick. Nice, crispy crust. Like the natural sodas, too. Fast, friendly service. Sandwiches, stuffed breads, pizza...I like everything they do.. pizza is one of foods were in new haven county you have alot of good choices. .so its hard to say that there is one superior pizza place or pizza take out style establishment..people have there favorites and each year they vote one of the typical top 5 into there position of greatness. I myself have found that after 35 years of eating new haven county pizza from just about every place you could think of I find myself having favorite items at each place...go to favorites...IE moderns itilian bomb, zuppardis bacon onion garlic, lomancos rustica pie, etc..
