Animals at home have been fantastic with my cat so far! I booked them for the 30 minute cat sitting visits for our holiday. They came over for a discussion on exactly what she needs & to learn her routine. They have a great balance of professional, but friendly & casual. They give updates, pictures & videos of the interaction to reassure you on how they're doing whilst you're away. It's all at a very good price for such a great service. My cat is very nervous around new people as she hasn't had much exposure to new people because of lockdown. After a couple of visits, she's been getting more fussy & comfortable with him. Lynette, from the kings Lynn and West Norfolk branch of Animals At Home, collected my new puppy for me last Friday. I was extremely happy with her service. I chose Lynette from a variety of different puppy carriers because of her detailed email response and her reassuring words when I phoned her up. She kept in touch for the whole journey, from Barnsley, and as Amber, my puppy, was so small she put her in a cat carrier on the front seat with her. This meant she could immediately see if Amber became upset or needed changing-which did happen. She also stopped for cuddles with the puppy and to feed her. Therefore, Amber arrived happy, calm and settled, even though she had had a very long journey. I cannot recommend Lynette enough. Many thanks again for a wonderful service. More...

Amanda was absolutely brilliant. With us being locked inside for 2 weeks our poor dog couldn’t get out for a walk. At short notice, Amanda fitted us in and took Hollie the same day and organised a schedule to ensure she is walked everyday without fail. A massive thank you to Andy Kinnard of Animals At Home (National Forest) Ltd. I was really stuck getting my dog to a veterinary appointment. I contacted Andy and at really short notice was able to arrange for him to pick up my dog and take him to our local vets. He was incredibly professional and my dog was so relaxed. Andrew at animals at home ,Burton on trent, provided us with a fantastic service. He visited our cat daily giving him lots of fuss, tidied up his mess when he decided to shred some of our carpet and knock off a glass pot and even put out our bin. Amanda managed to help me out fairly last minute mainly for my African grey parrot Cilla but also 2 ring neck parakeets, land snails, stick insects and fish. I was sent regular updates and pictures of Cilla without even asking which really helped put me at ease as I’m a worrier! Amanda and her husband looked after our little pepper when we went on holiday. We were updated throughout and I wasn’t made to feel silly when texting to see if she was okay (as it was the first time we had left her I had reservations). We were amazed to get back a new well behaved doggy after spending time around Amanda’s dogs. She was/is so good for us and it done her the world of good. Our labradoodle, Lottie, has been on a two week holiday with Amanda while we had a much needed break. She came from a rescue centre 19 months ago and it was a big deal to us as she’d only ever boarded for a few days at most. We knew she would be fine with Amanda and her menagerie. She wagged her tail as we turned onto the lane and we knew all was good. Amanda sent lovely photos, videos and messages (some actually from Lottie!) to reassure us all was fine. We had every confidence she would thoroughly enjoy her stay; Amanda has a lovely way with dogs. I met about 7 boarders and this is Lotties third place but we are set now that this is the right one. When we collected her, she was thrilled to see us but had obviously been happy and settled in her holiday home. It is such a relief to know our beautiful dog is safe and happy, especially as she came from rescue. Amanda is caring and thoughtful, just what our lovely girl needs. Thank you Amanda, I can’t say I didn’t miss her, but knowing she was safe and happy allowed us to relax. Highly recommended! More...

Amanda has provided a first class, 100% reliable service. When she met us, she was calm, professional and totally involved in what we wanted. Our dog was a little nervous but warmed to her immediately. She sends pictures everyday when walking our dog and to be honest, Storm our dog loves her to bits !! Highly recommended professional service: Until quite recently I have had my horse at livery, so going on holiday has been easy to organise. Acquiring our own land and stables was exciting, until I started to think ahead to a long-planned trip abroad. Both horses tend to be nervous and disengage brains when faced with a change of routine, so I was anxious about leaving them. Then I discovered Amanda. She came to meet us all and check what would need doing, and both horses were immediately at ease with her. At the airport on our day of departure, I received a WhatsApp message from her with a photo of the two horses happily grazing. Another couple of photos and messages arrived later in the trip. On our return we found two perfectly relaxed horses, mildly surprised to see us. Amanda has been amazing. My boyfriend's dog was recovering from an operation so we needed someone to come in twice a day to check he was ok. She even applied tape and a bandage to his leg when the dressing was falling off. He wouldn't let my boyfriend go near it but somehow Amanda managed it. Would definitely recommend and would use her services again. A lovely lady that I felt very comfortable with and had no problem giving her access to my home when I wasn't there.
