We had another visit to AHMO and were very glad they could accommodate us on short notice. Our rescue dog has terrible allergies and due to them flaring up could barely walk. Dr. H. Fixed him right up and educated us about a new diet for Jax that we are now starting for him. She informed us she is using this diet for her own dogs which made me feel better about trying it. Feeling more hopeful for Jax than me just trying a bunch of different things on my own. More...

I adopted an adorable 3 1/2 month old kitten that I wanted Dr. Guild to check over and give her final kitten vaccines and also a tracking ID and he her in the room for the vaccines but he took her away got the tracking ID and when he brought her back I asked why he did that and he said he forgot that I was a retired vet tech and would know how to hold my pet. Dr. Guild said he always takes the pets away in case they flinch or make a noise so the owners don't have to see it. We talked about a runny eye my kitten had and said to purchase lysine if it does not get any better, the vet I worked at would have made us purchase it from them which would have been much more expensive. Dr. Guild is an excellent vet and I'm glad I found him after I quit my god for a female vet that only treated cats and would not go back to school to reeducate her self to stay up to date. More...

Dr. McDonnel and all the staff are PHENOMINAL. You guys always let Winnie stay with us in the room to get her blood drawn, shots, blood pressure, everything. I also deeply appreciate that Dr. McDonnel always considers Winnie's quality of life when recommending treatment options. Moved here from Tennessee, been to 6 area Veterinary clinics and 2 groomers and will not go anywhere else from now on. Stacy's grooming skills are exceptional, a true professional in trade and steward of the business. The doctor who checked up my two dogs answered all my questions without reservation and exhibited a positive demeanor that calmed my dogs like no vet we've visited in the past. Dr. Guild was fantastic with my dog. We thought it might be his last day and while emotions were high he was calm and took the initiative to give my dog the best care. Briefly. Everyone from the front desk to Dr. Guild are kind to you and warm to your pets. I’ve had one Bully get two TPLO procedures on each knee with great success and sadly her litter mate is about to have one. I’ve only dealt with the office for orthopedics. You can find cheaper procedures for cruciate repairs, but you won’t find an office in the Detroit area that does the TPLO as favorably priced as this office. If you do, let me know, because I’m afraid after we repair my other dog’s knee his other knee won’t be far behind. However, I can attest to the procedure’s success here, and it’s why I trust their work on cruciate injuries over cheaper, less favorably reviewed procedures or places I’ve found. More...

I brought my dog Diesel here for an appointment after his eye started acting up. The staff was so friendly and caring. The vets I met with tried diagnosing the issue and I was subsequently referred to an eye specialist. Dr. MacDonald called the day of my appointment and followed up about the eye. Really loved this vet. Our dog ripped his tooth out while chewing on his cage one morning and they said it would be best to wait to fix the tooth until he was getting neutered so he wouldn't be anesthetized twice. I appreciated the honesty. The level of service was always wonderful. I also boarded my dog here once for one night. Hands down, best vet I've ever been to! Everyone who works there is so nice, polite and genuinely cares about your pet and their needs. They don't try to scam or pressure you into overpaying or paying for things that unnecessary. They are also so quick and efficient! I was visiting this Vet on this Mon with my first baby, Teddy who is almost 11 months old Bichon-poo since his mouth had periodontal problem with inflammation all of sudden. Dr. Mcdonald was treating him very well and gave 2 prescribed medicine for him, and he was feeling way better after taking them right away.......I have plan to visit to see her with my second baby Buddy for his second regular check up on this Thurs again. We took our puppy here for his first check up the week we got him (9 weeks old). I am fairly picky about these kind of things involving my dog. I just want what's best for him. They were amazing from the start. We love the front desk ladies and both the doctors we have seen! Everyone is very sweet and gentle. He received his vaccinations and was also neutered/microchipped here. No issues whatsoever. He did have an allergic reaction to the rabies vaccine and we had to take him to an emergency vet but AHMO followed up with us the next day about it to make sure everything is okay, obviously not their fault and we were warned there could be a reaction. I called last week and left a message before they opened about getting his vaccination records and they had emailed them to me within a couple hours. I thought they would be more expensive given the location and great reviews but nope, very fairly priced. This vet is so easy to work with and very professional. We are overall very pleased! More...

I moved to West Bloomfield about 3 years ago. I've been bringing my 12 year old baby boy (dog to some) to vets since he being rescued at 2. I've been to many vets over the years as I've moved around a lot. I love this vet and recommend them to anyone I know. The owner/vet is everything I want in a vet for ensuring the best care for my dog, without over treating. And I have found similar experiences with the other vets he now has helping as they grow. We rescued Mannie 18+ months ago and he has thrived under the care of the people here. Not only does he receive excellent medical care, but everyone on the team makes him comfortable, relaxed and content while there. Stacey is an excellent groomer who also takes care of Mannie regularly. Mannie gets excited when we arrive as he looks forward to visiting all of his friends there.
