Animal Assisted Therapy Programs of Colorado

Before we found the Barking Cats Ranch, Animal Assisted Therapies of Colorado, our son struggled to express his emotions and open up to therapists. We were referred to animal assisted therapy by our mental health team at Jefferson Center for Mental Health (also a wonderful, wonderful organization!) Working with animals and the gentle guidance of his therapist seems to be the perfect combination for my son who was diagnosed with ADHD and Sensory Processing Disorder. He loves going here each time and can't wait to play with the dogs, see the cats, rabbits, and rats. I love sitting in the cozy waiting room, relaxing, and enjoying a cup of coffee. This place is awesome! I love all the therapist that I have met as well. All the animals are really fun and really help me relax. I definitely recommend them.
