They were very nice and helpful

I adopted a dog from them that had been rescued, along with her siblings from horrendous conditions. The process was very involved. A call to Rebecca Cooper, a questionnaire, a vet check, home visits. They made sure we were all a perfect fit. I would adopt from them again. Great organization! Thank you for Fiona. More...

Great rescue! Responsive, and goes out of they're way to help animals! One woman says they didn't sign any paperwork before adopting the dog. It's a false review! AA has potential adopters fill out an adoption application to see if you're a good fit for the animal and vice-versa. They'd NEVER leave an animal in a home with no legal means of getting it back if it turned out to not be a good fit. Then they do a home inspection, then a home trial for a week, sometimes longer (or shorter if it's not working) Once that trial ends if you decide they're perfect, then you fill out the contract and pay the adoption fee. Only reason there wouldn't be a questionnaire for the animal is if you were fostering until it finds it's forever home, not adopting. More...

I have been adopting from them for 15+ years. They always make sure that the animal is a good fit. I have adopted 3 cats and a dog with their help. I make it a point to adopt with animal aid. The best, and most caring of people to work with. More...

Our family always adopts rescued animals. I have volunteered for Animal Aid, and admired the work all the volunteers do. We just adopted a wonderful cat to join our previous Animal Aid cat. I filled out an application, talked to three volunteers about cats who would fit our family and home, had a home visit, and signed an adoption contract. All of us, humans and felines, are getting along and happy. I would feel confident using Animal Aid again, and will continue to volunteer with them. More...

I have volunteered, fostered, and rescued side by side with most of the regular Animal Aid people for almost 14 years now. Every single person whom I have come in contact with is dedicated first and foremost to the best home for each animal, or vet care, or whatever needs to be done. Most times the volunteers drop everything to rush to an animal's aid, which inevitably aid the human involved also! If there are any bad reviews here it is because the persons involved id not allow the volunteers to remedy the situation - they are ALL VOLUNTEERS , spending their own money and time on behalf of the animals and the humans that care for the animals.I would like to mention that the lady who said they adopted a dangerous pit bull to her son didn't tell the whole story -- her son is 40 years old and lives 3,000 miles away from her, he made his own choice and the volunteer who does pit bull adoptions was very very careful, as she always is, to make sure there was a good match between this pup and new owner - she says they are happy together - and I believe her over a very distant, rude person who needed to be hung up on!! Decided to try fostering & seen Animal Aid was seeking fosters/adopters for a group of pups they rescued. Long story short, I fostered one of the girls for less than 3 months & decided to adopt her. Animal Aid was great with helping me through the process of it all. If you can help them by fostering/adopting a cat/ dog or even donating items or money to their cause, please do. They are a great group of people, volunteering to help save animals. My girl has come a long way since then, 2 years. I'm so glad she's mine. :-) ♡♡♡ More...

We adopted a puppy through them. Angus grew to be an incredible dog. As responsible dog owners, we understood that this large dog would require a lot of work, time, and dedication on the part of the whole family to make Angus good citizen of the family. We will always be grateful to Animal Aid for their role in bringing Angus into our lives. More...

I have a little story to share....there is a lady who works for animal aid that left time with her husband, and even through she wasn't feeling well she got up to go help 4 kittens that was left behind when the mother cat disappeared. I would add that this particular lady is working non-stop, so personal time is rare. Animal Aid is a NON PROFIT, NO KILL organization that works nonstop to help animals in need. They don't get paid, they do it out of LOVE. They try to help even after the animal is adopted but the new owner as to be willing to accept that help with no verbal attacks, like the one below. It is a two way street. So please any comments you see that gives a false impression, they don't know the full story. But these men and women love animals, and would give anything to keep them safe.
