Best experienced with an appetite. My first bite into one of the egg rolls I realized that my whole life of egg roll eating has been a lie. . Then I zeroed in on the firecracker won ton. It was at this point, I was already planning my next visit even though I was only on the appetizers ..Each visit I have indulged in a rice dish and each time I find myself lifting the container to see if there actually is a bottom to it as it feels like I barely can put a dent in all the goodness. Great find. Had lunch there. Huge portions. I pass by place regularly and heard reviews from friends. Finally decided to try for lunch. Great decision - had the General Tao dish. It was more than enough of a portion for me. There are several vegan and vegetarian choices too. Excellent tasting, really enjoyed. Staff are very friendly. Wish I visited sooner. My wife and I found them at the Merivale Farmers Market last Saturday and ordered 2 egg rolls, cause not all egg rolls are created equal. Well, I got to tell you, these egg rolls were the BEST I have ever tasted. Even beats the ones on Carling Ave, can’t think of the name right now. Best of open-ended giant egg roll. My old favorite is red curry chicken, I ask less rice, more veggies. New fav is fried beef, 5/5! The 3 meat skewers also fan favorite. the physical address also have more menu items like Shanghai noodles. General tao a bit tangy if you like that, but might lack veggies (maybe order some on the side). I'm very picky about my Pad Thai it's pretty good but hey, try a new item when you go, worth trying them all! don't forget the egg roll! More...
