I've always had a bad back from doing sports so I was given a voucher as a gift from a friend to try this out. It was my first experience ever with acupuncture and TCM deep tissue massage. The staff were very friendly and it was an interesting experience. The Acupuncture itself was intriguing. I had maybe 5/6 pins on my lower back and 1 pin on each hand. It was a pleasant experience though i did feel a bit tender on my hands afterwards. It wasn't bad and on the whole was fairly relaxing, especially on the back.The Deep Tissue Massage. HOLY HELL, now this was an experience i'd never forget. It was intense and when they say deep tissue they're not kidding. The masseuse put all her effort into this, like a DBZ style crater formed beneath the bench after she was done. I could honestly say that there were probably no knots after the session ... it's definitely not for one who can't take a pounding.All in all I had a pleasant experience and would recommend. Had an hour Acupuncture & massage session via Groupon. I'm not sure if the acupuncture is for me, but the head massage & back massage was the Best. As someone that has been massaging everyone since i can remember, it was an absolute joy to be massaged with the same effort.
The gentleman did the acupuncture & head massage, (which got rid of my headache), and a wonderful lady named Jeanie massaged my back & finished with a hot towel, which was new to me but i thoroughly enjoyed it. I've already booked more sessions....even though i can't afford it, it will definitely be worth it. The room is clean, fresh new towels & the bed is well protected & covered. I've been to about 50 masseuses in my lifetime & i can honestly say this is the one for me. I highly recommend it.
Update:- I've been back for my second massage, this time with a different masseuse, Lena i think she's called, and i was not dissapointed. Very strong and mindful in her work, certainly not lazy. Very impressed. Went home feeling lighter & less tense & not in pain for a change. I was able to walk/float all the way back to Clapham junction St. without my usual aches. Thank-you so much. AMAZING - MOST LIKELY THE BEST TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Centre in London, if not the UK!! I use the centre regularly, mainly to assist with my back pain, but also for relaxation massages. It is truly a great venue, and the prices are extremely reasonable. I had a deep tissue massage followed by acupuncture. The masseuse worked very hard to improve my circulation and get out knots in my body. Best deep tissue massage if you like it strong with elbows and forearms or they can go softer. But every time i walk in broken they seem to always fix me. I started going 3 years ago when i popped to discs in my lower back they fixed that now i go because i run marathons and they fix any running issues i have before or after a race. Me and my sister went here and would highly recommend this place. I have had so many massages over the years and this was a brilliant and best one by far. It was a really good pressure and got rid of knots and didn't feel like i was being brushed with a feather like some massages i have had. Very friendly staff. OK, I have to admit, I am a bit of a groupon addict, and with the average hour long treatment costing only £20 or so, as opposed to the £55 that my gym's spa charges, its a no brainer to give them a try. So I literally have a treatment once or twice a month, depending on the offers. I have to say, this was the best of the bunch. It was only £19, so I wasn't expecting too much, but it was really really good. After the initial massage, which was as firm as I wanted, and covered the entire body head to toe, I chose the cupping treatment. This was really enjoyable, and despite the circle marks that were left (and faded over the next few days) I felt energised, and tension levels were reduced significantly, I also lost 2kg in weight, perhaps due to the improvement in circulation. I re-booked a few days later, as the regular prices were very reasonable too. The Doctor showed genuine knowledge, and spoke clear English. Its open late too which is great for me as I can pop in after work, and there is free on-street parking at that time. Went to Aneugene Health Centre with a pulled muscle. Not only my pain was relieved but I also really enjoyed the experience. The place is typically small but very clean and nice, it smelled good and music was relaxing. The lady who massaged me had very strong hands and it really was a deep tissue massage I asked for. She also knew very well what she was doing. They gave me the full hour I paid for and longer than that if I include the consultation before the treatment.Would recommend to anyone and will definitely go back myself. More...
