What kind of accounting services do you provide?
Bookkeeping and VAT:
We offer a range of bookkeeping solutions to ensure that your books and records are accurate and up to date. We can provide this service on flexible basis, but usually clients will choose to maintain their records on a monthly or weekly basis as this can reduce the amount of administrative burden at the end of the financial year. We also file VAT returns if you are registered for VAT.
Management accounts and financial statement production:
Having up to date financial information is key to understanding the underlying financial health of your business. Knowing where your core cost drivers and revenue generators are will be essential in driving further growth to your business. Andromeda Accounts can provide management accounts tailored to your specific needs. We are also trained in International Financial Reporting Standards (‘IFRS’) and New UK GAAP (‘FRS102’), so we can take ownership of your year-end reporting obligations to Companies House.
Self assessment:
Andromeda Accounts offers a comprehensive service for clients who require assistance with filing their annual tax return. This is normally done through the Government Gateway Portal. All documentation sent to HMRC will have supporting schedules which will be supplied to you and commentary will be provided so that you can understand your financial position.
Process improvement and redesign:
When a business is experiencing a phase of growth, operational and accounting processes can sometimes suffer from growing pains because they are no longer effective at handling the additional volume. Andromeda can help with the assessment of processes that require overhauling and can recommend improvements to reduce processing times, improve transparency and accuracy of reporting. We have recommended and provided assistance on a wide range of issues, ranging from automation of accounting entries, to accounting system design and implementation. Large scale implementations are also tested vigorously to ensure minimal disruption to the business.

What do you love most about your job?
Find more efficient ways of doing things. I once helped with the implementation of a new accounting system, which took 3 months to do. Throughout that project, there was a lot of data to process, and I was required to learn how to use a new piece of accounting software from scratch and become a superuser. The challenge was fantastic, and the project was finished to a high standard.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having spent the best part of a decade in the City of London, I wish to focus my energy on building an accountancy business that gives back to the local community. My vision is to be able to create affordable accountancy and taxation services to local clubs and businesses to enable them to thrive, and grow organically.
