He made us and our wedding guests feel at ease and managed to capture the day perfectly. His service was personal throughout, and he even spent time going through our photographs with us afterwards. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
It's not just the subject that makes a great photo, but often the person taking the photo and how they interact with the subject. Its important for the subject to be relaxed therefore creating a better overall image. Sometimes the best pictures are ones that aren't even planned and they just happen naturally. The art of great photography is being there to capture that memory.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is it that you expect from a photographer? Would you like a photographer that organises everyone and everything or do you want a photographer to be there just capture events as they happen or a little bit of both?
What do you love most about your job?
Capturing memories for people. Being invited into peoples lives for a relatively short amount of time and being able to capture moments is such a thrill and an honour for me.
I've had a camera since age 8 and always loved to capture moments as they happen from visits to the zoo as a child, to now where I have my own children and photograph them as they grow up.
I often don't even see this as a job as I enjoy it so much.
What inspired you to start your own business?
A passion and a love of photography. I always have my camera near by just in case a moment needs to be captured. This then led me to starting a business where I could do this for other people.
Why should our clients choose you?
If you want a family friendly photographer who has a passion for taking pictures then that is me. I not only capture moments, I also fully edit each image before they are presented to you to make sure that each image is prefect. I have two young children myself so I am well trained in working with children and also animals.
