Great food, atmosphere and service, easy parking. Will return.
Good overall, but waiter did not ask if I wanted another glass of wine - just took my empty glass away as he passed by and never mentioned it. Also, ice tea refill was not offered. Men’s bathroom could use some work. More...
Our immediate family decided to try to go to dinner on Christmas night at the last minute due to travel and other obligations. I looked on Open Table and Andrea' s surprisingly was available for a party of 8. Haven eaten there, we knew the food would be good and it was convenient to all. We had no idea HOW GOOD it would be with a very varied and delicious price fixe menu. Everyone loved their VERY generous portions and desserts. It was a perfect way to celebrate and end our Christmas day. Service was excellent and our waiter was exceptional. This may become a tradition, but we will make reservations sooner to assure that we get a table! More...
Dinner for six for a birthday meal and all was excellent from the service all food. Always very good and dependable.
Christmas Eve dinner with Mom. Our new tradition
We enjoyed their Christmas lunch. It was OUTSTANDING.
Christmas dinner! Delish!
Nice experience at one of the few places open for Christmas lunch. Large crowd as expected and the staff did as well as they could but could have used additional help.
Best Revellion yet good selection and service Good on the spot.
The food and service were both outstanding! It has become one of our favorite restaurants!
Went for a Christmas party. The food was good. The space was great for the amount of people present.
Great service and fine Italian food in a comfortable but elegant atmosphere.
We stopped at Andrea’s for lunch. For starters, we had minestrone, calamari friti, and chargrilled oysters. All three were excellent. The calamari was lightly fried and tasted very fresh. The minestrone was hearty, and the oysters were done in the Drago’s tradition. For entrees, we had crabmeat ravioli, mushroom ravioli, salmon pasta, chicken Alfredo, and a kids pizza. The crab ravioli was good portion and was delicious. It was prepared in a light wine/buttery sauce. The mushroom ravioli was good but was much better topped with salty cheese - I recommend a good helping because the dish was delicately flavored. The salmon pasta was good and the salmon was fresh. It was prepared with chopped salmon. The chicken Alfredo was as good as it gets and was enough for two servings. The kids pizza was out of this world. The sauce was very tasty and flavorful. We had bottles of white and red Andrea’s branded wine - both were good. The red seemed like a blend, but I didn’t ask. The white was a Pinot Grigio. For desert, we had the coconut cake and Spumoni cake - excellent. As always, chef Andrea greets the dining room, which is a nice touch. He seems very humble and is very personable.Service is what you expect at the price-point: knowledgeable, attentive, etc. This was our 3rd experience at the restaurant. All three times we spent >90min in the dining room. It can be challenging for small kids, but if you have group of folks that keep the conversation going, then the time passes quickly. More...
Great service! Authentic Italian and variety of menu! Wonderful meal! A definite repeat!
I have been going to Andrea's since it first opened and its always been good. Sorry to see a small crowd that day...I hope it continues to be profitable. Chef Andrea is a NOLA treasure.
The food was amazing and the experience was just as amazing as I remembered it being when I was a little girl.
Fantissimo! The service, the flavors, the selection, the environment. All were of exceptional quality in a quaint atmosphere. There was a lot of room but the atmosphere was super cozy. Authentic Italian at its prime. More...
Authentic Italian restaurant with great food and vibes. We will definitely come back soon.
Andrea's was our most memorable evening in New Orleans. We were promptly greeted upon arrival and shown to a nice corner table. In moments Chef Andrea himself came out to welcome us and chat a moment - a very personal touch! (It may have been because we were celebrating our wedding anniversary). The décor is Italian and nicely, subtly done - very warm atmosphere. I had roasted oysters as an appetizer (a house specialty and deservedly so) and the stuffed veal which was fabulous! My wife had a wonderful minestrone soup and ordered cannelloni which was not as flavorful as she likes. Our waiter, Ed, was a real pro and recommended a fabulous red wine to go with the meal. All in all, a wonderful, enjoyable, relaxing evening of excellent food in a superb atmosphere. But wait, there's one more thing. My wife accidentally left her scarf at the restaurant and didn't realize it. Imagine our surprise and gratitude the next morning when the hotel concierge called to tell us that Andrea had limo'd the forgotten scarf to our hotel! What a class act! We will definitely make this a "must do" when we are in the New Orleans area. More...
Everything is outstanding!!
Hadn’t been in years (no longer live in NOLA)☹️But everything was lovely and delicious.
Plenty of food, service not bad for a Thanksgiving, will return.
Wonderful with mother-in-law
Wonderful ambiance, great dining and food, attentive staff and service. Bachelorette dinner party, low key... extremely nice.
Fantastic experience! The food was delicious and the staff were so attentive the entire time. Will definitely be returning in the future.
Very good food and overall experience. If your looking for a quiet place during the week go here.
Food and service was excellent!
Good food, good drinks, good friends
U want Italian Food Real Deal , This Is the Place INDEED!
Spaghetti was a little hard And Canolli were sour
Just spent a lovely evening here with my fella---it was everything we were looking for! Very cozy, nicely appointed dining areas which felt both elevated and homey. Top notch wait staff who were quick to anticipate and attend to our needs. Delicious eats. We especially enjoyed meeting the chef, who made rounds to all the tables. Two birthdays happened around us and we saw the staff make a big fuss over the celebrants. This would be a lovely spot for a special occasion and we can't wait to bring Mama and Papa Romeo to visit when they are next in town. Great Metairie gem. Many thanks for your hospitality. And also for the coconut cake leftovers which are being gobbled as I type this : ) More...

Good food, good service and nice music.
Loved the food. Dover sole deliciousness. Opera in the bar was fabulous. Do more.
Awesome food great service from waiters Mr santino and Mr Kenya, always a delicious meal and chef Andrea is great guy friendly and professional always.
Andrea’s is an excellent restaurant and is now going to be one of our favorites in New Orleans. Our entries were excellent and the service was very good. The bar scene is energetic and always crowded. This is always a good choice when dining in Metairie. Highly recommended and you will need a reservation. More...

I went for coolinary. The food was outstanding. Large portions. The service was terrific. A great meal at a fantastic price. I will be back.
Fresh food, great ambiance, cool drinks and wonderful staff. You won’t be disappointed!
Service was great and professional
Parking is in the rear of the restaurant. Walking in, I was promptly seated just after 8 on a Saturday evening. The music from the attached bar was loud and disturbed the experience. I came for the Coolinary menu, and was pleasantly surprised. Service is decent enough. More...
Delightful dining experience! Very creative menu, great ambiance, excellent food and value. Service was superb. Already looking forward to next to visit.
Food is excellent!
Our server, I think his name was Clint, was extremely nice and obviously want us to have a good experience. My request for changes in my meal we’re not a problem at all. We received a complimentary appetizer beside the delicious bread. On Fridays there is music at the bar. More...
Amazing. The decor, the service, the food. I went for coolinary. Everything was cooked to perfection. Chuck and the other server were great. Alot of food for the price.
I have been wanting to try Andrea's since I first saw it because of the name. I came by recently to try their Coolinary Dinner. First, the parking. There is street parking, and a parking lot that is behind the restaurant. There is a piano bar attached to the restaurant, but uses a separate entrance. I walked in, past the door for the bar, into the restaurant and was promptly seated about 8pm. The bar was LOUD! Very loud, I could hear everything from there, and barely anything from my waiter. I got the chowder as a starter, and it was not the milk based version. It was chock full of shrimp and oysters, quite delicious. For the meal I got the salmon 3 ways (cooked in butter, with a cream sauce and one with shrimp as a topping). The piece with butter and scallions was the absolute best. That came with steamed vegetables. The vegetables were the best. The waiter almost forgot I had wanted the dessert and asked if I wanted the check. The dessert was a sponge cake that was so delicious, but I only had room left for a few bites and got the rest to go. Checking out is done by a phone swipe done by you, the customer. That is a novel idea! Cuts down on paper! All in all, it would be 5 stars, but the noise was too much. I don't think I could afford a full meal without the Coolinary specials, but this was worth every single penny. More...
the food was not as good as previous visits, some of the food did not taste to be made form scratch, but frozen(mushroom ravioli). super dense and seemed over cooked. the service was outstanding. More...
If you're looking for a great meal in Metairie, try Andrea's! Their attention to their customers is amazing! Chef Andrea greeted us at the door, and later came to our table to be sure everything was good. Our waiters were fantastic! Our drinks were refilled before we needed to ask, and whatever we needed was brought straight away. The food was amazing as well. There were 8 of us dining, celebrating three birthdays. Several got the special menu - a three-course meal - choices included a NY strip and prime rib. Three ordered something else. We all enjoyed our meals immensely - the temperature of my steak was perfect! Prices are reasonable; about what you'd expect to pay at any good restaurant in New Orleans. The atmosphere is warm and inviting - lots of pictures on the walls, white tablecloths, and just cozy in general. Tables aren't so close together that you can hear other conversations around you. We were able to take our time, relax, eat, and visit. All in all, a great experience! This was my first visit to Andrea's, but it won't be my last! More...
Coolinary meal. Drum was excellent!
Delicious and abundant food! Great service and dining experience! Will definitely go, again!
Some friends and I met at Andrea’s for a Coolinary lunch. Everything was fine except for the food. It seems to have dropped off since my last visit, or the kitchen cut corners for Coolinary. The asparagus soup wasn’t very flavorful. The fish with meunière sauce was okay, but not great. The potatoes were overdone. The choice of bread pudding for dessert was not available as stated on the website, so we were all given chocolate mousse. It was more like a cup of thick icing than a mousse. We all wished we had ordered from the regular menu. More...
Had a great lunch.
Chris the Bartender did great! He picked up our table and did a fantastic job serving us.
Have visited Andrea's, for over 27 years -- as a resident in New Orleans and as a frequently returning visitor. Every visit to Andrea's is nourishing on every level -- food, service and ambiance. This latest visit was no exception. Part of the treat is introducing guests to one of my favorite places, anywhere. More...

Excellent, friendly service. Chef Andrea always visits his patrons and asks about the quality of the meal. Food was delicious as always

Wonderful experience, from the greeting when arriving and throughout the evening. The food? Couldn’t have been better.
I always have a great experience at Andrea's!I also like how they serve fresh bread when you sit down. It's really good with the vinegar and olive oil.

Wonderful as always. Chef Andrea always comes to the table to check on satisfaction and to know his customers. Lovely place.
My friends hosted a birthday lunch for me here and we had the best time. The staff was so accommodating to our party, helped with every detail and the chef even came out to celebrate and help us cut the cake. Definitely recommend!
Very nice restaurant, quiet on a Sunday afternoon. Service was spot on, food was excellent in flavor and presentation. My family enjoyed a Sunday dinner in an outstanding place. We will return!
Andrea's never disappoints. Great meal and dining experience with family to celebrate a birthday. Oysters Brochette were outstanding and the Veal Scaloppini Maria Louisa was amazing! Great night out!
Love Table 29!!!!
Andrea's was wonderful as always. We have been going there since the early 90s. It was a cold rainy Sunday for brunch so it was not very busy and very quiet. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive. We both had the veal Picatta and bottomless mimosas. The food was well prepared and beautifully presented. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely return, hopefully when Andrea is on premise More...

Awesome service! We had a party during Mardi Gras of 25. The food, service, and ambiance was OUTSTANDING! Andrea’s food selection and freshness is second to none. Fresh made pasta, fresh caught fish, and they catered to my son’s picky eating habits. Chef Andrea came by our table and told us hello. It always means a lot when the owner and chef is on hand to ensure happy customers. We highly recommend this fine dining restaurant in beautiful Metairie. More...

Food and entire experience was excellent. We have a business meeting and the private dining room was perfect. Out waiter was the best!!! Thank you
The service and food are incredible. We will be going back again.
We have always enjoyed Andrea's. The food is great and we are always greeted by the owner, Andrea.
Me and my fiancee went for Valentines day. I have been to Andrea's before and always enjoy the experience and food. For Valentines day they gave the ladies a rose which was such a nice touch. The ambiance feels like you are in Italy, I just love it. From appetizers to entrees and dessert we enjoyed everything. Chef Andrea even comes out to say hi to his customers. The only negative is having the waiters stand so close to tables while dining. We were in the front of the dining room, made eating a bit uncomfortable. Overall the food, waiter and ambiance was great. I work in the hotel industry in Metairie and I will ensure my staff refers our guests to Andrea's as a dining option. More...
Great service, decent food, AMAZING dessert. Service makes it though.
Best veal in town.
I had such a Great experience! The food was delicious and the staff were very inviting and friendly.
Due to circumstances, we missed our Anniversary,My EifesW Birthday...and New Years. So we had dinner last night for seven, mine and my niece/guest. My thanks to our waiter for helping choose the Wine, his assistance with Apps and Entree(s) were Spot on.The Chef made his Rounds through the dining area and greeted all the Guest warmly. The Staff was Fantastic...My Wife says the best tiramisu she ever had. This was not a Dinner, Andrea's is a Experience. My advice, let the Staff be your guide and enjoy the Ride. You won't be disappointed. More...
The food was really good, I can't vouch for pricing because it was at company dinner. Strong drinks, excellent service.
Andrea's is by far the very best in cuisine. Our appetizers we're shrimp mirliton soup and the grilled shrimp rizito had the mirlinton shrimp soup the white veal with fettuccini which was great.
Excellent...What else needs to be said.
Food and service are what keep us coming back. Love the atmosphere!
Excellent service and great food!!
Food was fantastic. Wait staff was very attentive. Overall a great experience
Went for Sunday Brunch. Excellent service and food, as always.
I was looking for Andreas in Dallas and when we arrived, they did not have our reservation. Open Table defaulted to a restaurant in Louisiana. I was using the cell phone and did not notice the jump to another city in another state. Luckily, Andreas in Dallas accommodated us and we had a great meal. More...

Andrea's NEVER disappoints! Food is ALWAYS nothing short of perfection. As far as staff, Santino is attentive, knowledgeable and always helpful. Great food, great ambiance. Fun place. The waiter's are all friendly. The owner comes by to say hi. They have male waivers and table cloths.
We went for a New Years Eve dinner. We were sat in the overflow / event dining area. I have always sat in the pretty more intimate main ding room which I definitely prefer. But, it was NYE and I should have asked. My cocktail, a cosmopolitan tasted watered down and I’ve had really good cosmos there in the past. Our servers were very nice but couldn’t be as attentive due to large tables around us. Because of these large tables, it was very noisy but again NYE and not the intimate dining area. Our meal was delicious, Filet and Lobster tails, cooked perfectly. We enjoyed a glass of La Crema Pinot Noir with our meal. When all is said and done, we enjoyed watching the festivities of groups of families and friends around us. After all it was NYE!Give Andreas a try...you won’t be disappointed. And, when not too busy Chef Andrea usually stops by your table to say hi. More...
Andrea's is one of our favorite restaurants. We have gone there for years. The food is consistently excellent, as is the service. Parking is easy. With both Italian and Creole dishes there is always something for us. This visit I had the Speckeled Trout Almandine and added Crab meat. It was excellent. The Turtle Soup that I started with was great as well. My wife had Crab meat Ravioli in a cream sauce. She loved it, and the portion size was enough she was unable to finish, so I got the rest. I can truly say I enjoyed it as well.On the way home we were asking each other why we didn't come more often. We will certainly remedy that in the future. More...
Good food, good service (if you get the right waiter) and good ambience.
The food is delicious. I like it that Chef Andea comes out to visit you. I would like to have had a better waiter but that did not stop me from having a wonderful experience.
Excellent Italian food.
The chicken parmigiana, appetizer-size meatballs, and lasagna were delicious. The sauce was perfect - not sweet! The waiter was very accommodating serving us a meatball sample. We wanted to order a meatball as a side but were told we could only order items as they are listed on the menu. The waiter wrote down that I wanted to substitute cauliflower for the pasta listed in my parmigiana dish however neither were served. The cheesecake was a good ending to our meal. A beautiful ambiance to the restaurant. More...
Lovely lunch with the family- Thanks Chef Andrea for making it special for my dad's birthday
We were there for dinner on Christmas. Good food, except for dessert, which fell off the cliff. And a bit overpriced, but they WERE open on Christmas.
We had Christmas Eve reservations for 8:30. We arrived on time and were seated within 10 minutes. I think we missed the big 7-7:30 rush, so that was perfect. Our server was amiable and attentive, and everything we ordered was delicious. I noticed some people complaining about their wait, but even my teenagers observed that holidays are pretty busy at restaurants, and the people complaining should think about the people serving them who are working on a holiday that we are not. Each dish that the four of us had was very good and plentiful. Fish, Eggplant and 2 Turkey and Dressing dinners. The cocktails were also very good. The ravioli, by far, was the most outstanding thing. The desserts, not so much. We all had something different and they were dry and not as tasty as they should have been. Pumpkin Pie, Bread Pudding and Carrot Cake. Please offer decaffeinated coffee. We will always return! More...

Good service and delicious menu!
Very good food and the atmosphere was welcoming. The reason I did not give 5 stars...the service was awful. Our waiter took our orders than disappeared. The meal took almost 45 minutes and we were left hanging. Barely asked us for Dessert...than forgot about us again. Needless to say we did not order dessert and paid our bill and left. Would love to go back because good was excellent but not sure I could sit thru a 2.5 hour meal. More...

29TH Wedding anniversary. Great food and service. Highly recommend. Only draw back was slightly noisy family nearby who could not stop talking.
The food was all great! I had the crabcake and also the trout. The husband had the Andrea's steak. It was all awesome.
Andrea's is such an icon. It was the first huge fine dining restaurant to open in Metairie. He created an authentic Capri Blue Bar, since he's from Capri. His Italian cuisine is also authentic. The best pasta anywhere. The seafood dishes are fresh & delicious. Try his Italian deserts. Especially the Italian cakes. He has his own wine label made with grapes from Italy. It is a beautiful restaurant. More...

My boyfriend and I had a $60 groupon, we were looking forward to the specific deal that they offered via groupon, but they told us just to redeem the value. The food was all pretty good, but I would not recommend the fried eggplant, it was a little lackluster. All in all it was a great experience, the server treated us well, which is not always the case when you have a coupon. My water glass was never empty, and they brought out a complimentary bruschetta appetizer. More...

Tonight was my first experience at Andrea's, and I left supremely impressed by the quality of the food. First, our maitre D, Jose, checked up on us twice during the course of the meal. Our waitress, Amber, was helpful with food suggestions. My date and I had the fried calamari appetizers. They were the best I've had in recent memory; they were not chewy at all and the sauce really set off the calamari flavor. After the appetizer, Chef sent a bruschetta free of charge. It was a highlight of the evening, mainly because the garlic was SO fresh! It was around this time that the Chef himself came out to check on us and our meal. He was cordial and took an interest in our feelings on the meal. For our main course we decided on their 3 plates with a glass of wine for $33. We ate the salmon pasta with vodka sauce. The caviar on that dish was a great salty addition. The crabmeat ravioli was possibly my favorite; the crab meat was slightly spicy, which contrasted well with the creamy sauce. My least favorite was the lamb chop lollipops. I normally love lamb, and they were good, but they just didn't do it for me. Finally we enjoyed a tiramisu and espresso martini. The tiramisu didn't have as much of a coffee flavor as I typically like, but the espresso martini was just about perfect in its proportions.Overall, if you want a classy, low-key, delicious Italian restaurant, Andrea's is your place! Although I have not eaten here often, that is no reflection on the food, the service, or the ambience. The bartender was attentive and great at making conversation as we had a drink before dinner at the bar. The chef and other Andrea's employees came out and talked with us, making us feel very welcome. I had the La. Crabmeat ravioli grande with a caesar salad and the whole meal was delicious. More...

Fabulous service, beautiful decor and fresh tasty food
Great food, service and gorgeous romantic restaurant❤❤
Today was a first visit for my husband and me. From the time we stepped in to the time we walked out we were treated very hospitably. Jose’ greeted us at the door, introduced himself, and showed us to a lovely table. This place has such ambience with beautiful paintings and pictures covering the walls. Priscilla was our server, and she was very attentive and sweet. We also met some other employees, Ron and Mistie. Both were very outgoing and welcoming. It’s very clear that everyone here works together and carries a huge amount of pride in what they do. We noticed that the glassware was checked over, not once, not twice, but three times, to make sure that it was spotless and perfect. Everything here is done with precision. Now, let me speak about the food. We ordered soup (gumbo), salad, pizza, and desert (Canolli and chocolate Mousse.) Everything that we ate was made to PERFECTION. I can’t rave enough about the pizza and the desert. We will definitely be back, and we highly recommend that you stop by if you’re in the area or make a reservation. We promise you won’t be disappointed. We would like to say thank you to all of the wonderful staff who made our first experience here one to remember. More...

Been wanting to go here for a very long time and finally made it. Had I known it would be that good I would have made it here a long time ago. We had seven people and everybody got a different dish and we all tried each other's and every dish was excellent. More...
Excellent staff....really good fried calamari!
My husband's high school reunion!
Very good overall experience, and excellent professional service. The seafood Milliton good; seafood soup very good,; cannoli, different from Brocato's, but good; macaroni and cheese outstanding. Very nice atmosphere with beautiful paintings on the walls. Mr. Andrea adds a nice friendly touch to the atmosphere by coming out and greeting his customers, and even kisses the ladies hands. Andrea's has a three-course lunch special for $23. More...
The food was incredible! I ordered the snapper with a side of pasta and vegetables, and it was hands down the best meal I’ve eaten while visiting the New Orleans area. Also, during my stay, the chef/owner came out and went around greeting every table, which was a very nice touch and made the dining experience more personal. Also, my server Natalie was very attentive, prompt, kind, and patient. More...
Went for a special event. The service was fast, food was delicious, and the drinks were great. It was kind of an odd spot for such a large event, but they made it work.
A locally owned restaurant and friendly environment with great food !!! The Capri bar on Friday and Saturday night is a lot of fun with great live music. I suggest trying the Thursday night wine tastings. A New Orleans must do !!!! More...

Pastries are like no where else. 5 STAR
What An Exceptional Italian Restaurant! Andrea's is a must go to when I am in NOLA. Leave room for dessert!
Great Italian Cuisine
Very intimate, lots of conversation pieces to break the ice on a first date. Concier makes good suggestions.
My favorite place to dine and bring friends, consistent great service and good food. Friendly people, like family. Chef Andrea is among the best always.
Accomodating staff ans amazing food .
Great food and service.
Business lunch with enclosed room available
A classic Italian fine dining restaurant. The lobster ravioli and red wine were excellent. Only 4 stars because it is expensive.
Love the Piano Bar!
Really good food for serving a very large crowd
Fabulous!! I had the best dessert here!!
Joseph A. Weishampel

Had a wonderful time with family. Never disappoints.
I’m been eating there for years Food is always great Great restaurant for authentic Italian food
The food was GREAT!!!!!!!!!! Recommend the Osso Bucco and the Saffron rice.
Perfect New Orleans landmark. Food was wonderful. Chef Andrea, a local celebrity, personally visited our table to check that our experience was perfect. It’s an hour plus drive for us, and will return. More...
I have been to Andrea's several times and have never been disappointed. The food is always consistent and have several choices to choose from. They always have specials in addition to the menu. I enjoy going there as they never rush you and let you take your time. More...
Andrea's is our "go to" regular for true authentic Italian. Every single dish is carefully prepared and so delicious! The prices are extremely fair for the portions you are served. The restaurant is very Italian in atmosphere and welcoming. The staff is so friendly and personal and right there waiting to serve you. Food as it should always be: fresh and delicious. Memorable flavors. Enjoy everytime we go! More...
My wife and I had an excellent and elegant dinner tonight at Andrea's. We were very pleased with the delicious food, attentive service, and the cozy, Continental atmosphere. For starters, our grilled oysters and minestrone soup were authentic and delicious. We savored our entrees - trout topped with lump crab meat, and a roast half-chicken. We ended with spumoni and hot coffee. Our service was attentive and never rushed. Chef Andrea even came over to see if everything was OK. Andrea's is a gem of a restaurant! More...
Andrea’s was a perfect place to have a delicious, quiet, enjoyable meal with a friend or loved one. The service was impeccable. This is the kind of place that will become a tradition with me and my friends and family. More...
We enjoyed our Anniversary Dinner at Andrea's very much. The northern Italian cuisine is a bit different from your typical Italian restaurants around time. The variety on the menu was a pleasant surprise. Last time I was there it was for my college graduation dinner so it's been a while. We were happy to come back for a nice family meal on our special day. I must say that the "TEAM" of staff to wait on us was spectacular! They couldn't have been nicer, they made our day. More...
Impressive Northern Italian FoodHaven't been to this place in many years and had forgotten how the food was. Two of us went here to eat dinner. I ordered the 3 course meal special with the pompano entrée and the seafood chowder, caramel custard desert. My companion ordered the chicken breast parmigiana which is eggplant and chicken layered style parmesan. All the food was good. The pompano with the capers and lemon butter sauce was outstandingly delicious. As usual, Chef Andrea still runs around the place checking that everything is ok and greeting people. The wait staff was very attentive as well. More...
Lunch with my beautiful wife
Excellent all around. The sautéed Pompano, the white bean and duck cassoulet, and the risotto were excellent. Nice, fairly priced wine list well-suited to the menu.
Always a fun evening at Andrea's, but it seemed a bit noisy in the restaurant. Had a great time at the bar listening to Uncle Wayne.
Perfect place to take my wife.Had a reservation and was treated well from the opening bell until we left.Food was great and we had dessert. We never eat dessert, but the carrot cake was delicious. Thanks guys, you have an amazing product. And we will be back soon.Pete Santacruz More...
Went here for restaurant month in New Orleans. After reading reviews (mixed) was a bit skeptical about my choice. The choices had changed on the menu when we were handed the menus but what was available was excellent and no one left unsatisfied. The staff was friendly and the food was nice and hot...be careful of the serving dishes...they are very hot! More...
My only complaint was that I went in with a Groupon, and it was never clear that you had to order a certain way, despite the fact that I mentioned the Groupon when I made the reservation, the Groupon itself contained no details other than that it was worth $60, and I asked 2 different servers during the dinner if there were any restrictions or requirements. They kept saying, "No, you can order anything you want from the menu." However, when we ordered an appetizer and an entree to split (after ordering a bottle of Cabernet), they told us, "No, you have to order 2 entrees." So then, we attempted to cancel the appetizer, to which they replied, "You have to order an appetizer. And separate entrees." Also, the dining area was a little bright for dinner service, in my opinion. Service was great otherwise, the food was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the portions were generous. More...
Always love stopping by for a consistently delicious Italian dinner!! The staff is efficient and friendly, their grilled fresh fish and seafood is always tasty, as well as their Italian dishes! ! Chef Andrea is the best and usually there to stop by and say hi. They have a great wine list as well! More...
I will return. The wait staff was very helpful. Love the restaurant.
A wonderful and personable experience. Service level was great, food presented well. We will be back. Priced reasonable for what you are getting.
Andrea's always serves superbly prepared meals and the 25 cent martinis are an added treat.
The Good food, service was excellent and atmosphere was rewlaxing.
The best authentic Italian restaurant in New Orleans
Fresh bread was awesome. Had the oysters andreas. A different take on oysters compared to the char broil ed you find elsewhere, we liked it! I had the veal, my daughter the crab ravoli. All good. For dessert th creme brulee was by far the best in Louisana! More...
I had a good experience
The food and service were excellent. It was a party of four. We started with cocktails, two with named bourbons on the rocks and the other two old fashions. All were real hardy man sized drinks. We split two (2) appetizers, the baked oysters and the clams. Both were delicious, however I preferred the oysters. We all had the prime rib and requested it in various cooking degrees, from rare to medium well. All were cooked to our liking. The dish came with red caramelized onions and roasted potatoes, which were somewhat unusual however very tasty. All that remained on our plates was a little fat from the prime rib. We finished the meal splitting two desserts, namely a Terra mi sou and a chocolate cake with alternating layers of pudding and a creme. They finished a great meal on a sweet high note. More...
Great seevice makes the food taste better. We will be back for sure. Thanks Groupon
I had a romantic dinner here recently and everything about it was outstanding. If you are a fan of authentic Italian restaurants, you need to seek this place out. The chef is genuinely hospitable and works the room. The food was delicious, (thank you Chef for the amuse bouche, a bite sized bruschetta that set the tone for the rest of the night). And the service was worthy of the white linen on the tables. Although I didn’t go in, the bar (Capri Blu) is a great neighborhood spot with a great vibe. I’ll be back. More...
The perfect place for a leisurely family dinner with conversation! Great food. Great service.
Great food! Excellent service! I would recommend to anyone who enjoys Italian style food.
Worth the uber ride to see this award winning chef that treats you like family! Warm, loving restaurant! Try the homemade pastas. The crab cake and eggplant appetizer is crazy good and the bread pudding will knock your socks off. Stop by the bar where the local talent is diverse and amazing we danced the night away.Followed the waiter's recommendations, was not disappointed! Andrea the chef/owner came out and greeted everyone and even had a drink with us at the bar after the restaurant closed! We'll be back! More...
Risotto was delicious! Crab ravioli was also very good
Andrea was great as usual. Hard to believe that he has been doing this with same level of excellence for 30 years. It seems like yesterday that he was the chef at the Rib Room. Great food and service at a very reasonable price. Yesterday he added a three course meal with many choices for $38 for Fathers Day More...
Had a great time. Hidden gem of Metairie.
Andrea's is a very put together restaurant. It has a wide selection of many appetizers, soups, salads, and entrees. The environment there is so welcoming, that once seated you feel like you are apart of their family. The wardrobe is dressy casual, and kids are welcome! The food was delicious, but my favorite part was seeing Andrea himself! Chef Andrea comes out and basically welcomes you with open arms to join his family! I even got a picture with him! Overall Andrea's Restaurant is a 10/10! I recommend getting their chaser salad and their breaded veal with fettuccine Alfredo! More...
Our waiter had to leave us for long periods of time because he was having to bartend too. After waiting 30 minutes, had to ask another waiter for our check. Our waiter apologized but was so ready to leave by then, sadly his apology didn’t go far. I am sure this had to be unusual circumstances but won’t go back. More...
Holiday weekend visit to NOLA
Hands down my favorite Italian restaurant in the New Orleans metro area. I found the waitstaff friendly, helpful and prompt. My favorite Italian dish is eggplant parmigiana, and these guys prepare it exactly the way I like it. A lot of restaurants in the area are Creole Italian. Typically those restaurants have a red sauce with some spicy heat, so if that is what you prefer you might find the sauce bland or uneventful. I love it, it's very tomatoey. The eggplant is melt in your mouth tender, bursting with flavor without a hint of bitterness that you find at lesser establishments. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Expect bread with your entree, some delicious olive oil and balsamic vinegar are set on the table to enjoy. Come hungry and these guys will take care of you for special occasions. More...
I love Andrea’s! I’ve been before and will go again
