My wife and I chose Ampersand Studios for our engagement and wedding photography and we couldn't be happier! They were very personable and made sure to cater to our needs and wants. As for the pictures themselves, they turned out fantastic - better than we could have hoped for. Our photographer captured so many priceless moments...we'll be looking back at our wedding photos for many, many years. Update: We just received the rest of our photos and I am crying (tears of joy) more than I did the day of. Nichole captured everything I wish I could have seen and everything I remember so fondly about the day. Our favorite memories to date have been captured perfectly. This was the best decision we could have made for our wedding! My sister in law recommended them and they were terrific to work with from day one. Nichole was genuinely interested in getting to know us so we would be sure to vibe well on our special day. I was planning from another state so it was really great to feel comfortable and confident in our choice. Day of was perfect, Nichole made all of our family and friends feel special without stuffy or awkward poses and she moved things right along so no one was waiting around long. Our wedding planner recommended Ampersand, and we were sold after looking at their portfolio. My husband and I hate having our photos taken, but Nichole made everything a breeze. We worked with Frannie for our wedding photos and engagement photos and she is (hands down) fantastic! Frannie is creative, funny, very easy going and just very "real". My husband and I were feeling awkward about taking so many photos together as a couple, but Frannie knew how to loosen us up, lighten the mood and capture us being our true, goofy selves. Frannie and Nichole are both truly talented photographers!  I hired them to take photos of my son for his first birthday, as well as, a few shots of our little family; and was very happy with the results.The girls are so creative when it comes to styling their photo shoots. If you have no clue what or where you what the photos to be, they instantly swoop in with props, poses, scenery, etc.  For our photo shoot, they attempted to get shots of my son in those faux denim diapers. Quite entertaining to watch!  And brought him a piece of birthday cake, so thoughtful! Their style of photography is definitely not traditional, so if you are looking for a photo of you and your kids all sitting prim and proper with collared shirts in front of one of those fake landscape scenes, then this is not the place for you! :)Most know Ampersand for their phenomenal wedding photography, which I have seen and is quite breathtaking. But they really have the patience and spunky character to capture the moment with an impatient toddler too.Photos were very easy to view from a website link, and super easy to order; as well. Very convenient way for me yo share with family and let them decide if they wanted to order any and what size. There were so many photo options, I did get a little confused but Frannie was happy to explain what I was looking at.Looking forward to hiring them again soon!  I now have another little one, and am looking forward to his first professional photo shoot, as well as, an updated photo of our growing family. Nichole Schoener and Frannie Wilson at Ampersand Studios are the best! I met them a year before my wedding at my two BFF's weddings and I KNEW I wanted to work with them. They are professional, funny, and down to earth ladies that can work a camera like no other. Ampersand Studios shot our engagement photos, wedding and reception photos, as well as a private boudoir sesh for myself, well, really for my husband =) I always felt comfortable and relaxed during the photo shoots. Ampersand Photography was fabulous to work with. They let me really get creative and involved in thinking about the photo shoot - especially with our engagement session. Ampersand Studios did our save the date, wedding invitations and the menus for our sit down dinner. I live in New York so it was all done over the phone, emails and through the mail. Franny did a great job easing my worries. I asked a lot of questions, changed the invites a million times and she took it all in stride. I think one of the hardest parts of a wedding is the attention to detail that goes into a beautiful invite. They created our own image and everything was beautiful. I loved my stuff. Their motto is "we make you look good" and indeed they do! Francesca and Nichole have impecable style and a fresh take on photography and design. They are a breath of fresh air in terms of service and creativity compared to other traditional/old-fashioned wedding photographers in the area. I cannot say enough about Ampersand! One of my first decisions that I made during the wedding planning process was the photographer. ..and it was absolutely the best decision ever! From the moment that I met Nichole, she was friendly, personable, professional and made a genuine effort to find out about us as a couple and what we were looking for in photography for our wedding. I was so impressed with her and their samples, that I immediately booked them on the spot!

Not only was Nichole our photographer for our engagement shots and the all-important wedding day, but she also designed our invitations and our signage for the wedding day. The invitations were a GORGEOUS custom letterpress design...we received (and are still receiving!) so many compliments on the invitations. During the design process, Nichole was so responsive to any of my edits and made sure that it was exactly what we were looking for!

The day of, Nichole and her 2nd photographer were amazing to work with....so many guests commented on how they felt like the photographers were literally everywhere and yet nowhere (blending in) at once. Nichole kept the entire day so fun and happy...even taking tons of pictures in 93 degree heat ! :)

We just received our proofs from the wedding day and are literally BLOWN AWAY!! We have SO many gorgeous shots that it is going to be impossible to choose what we want for our albums. We are absolutely in love with our pictures!!

It was a crisp autumn afternoon much like today, I was meeting my soon-to-be Bride, Mandy, at Starbucks to meet two young gals she had fallen in love with at the wedding show a short time earlier.
When I arrived I thought that Mandy had ran into some friends of hers before our meeting with the photographers, but little did I know it was Francesca & Nichole from Ampersand who she was gabbing away with as if they had been friends for fifty years.
From that day on Francesca & Nichole were beyond amazing taking care of us with all of our needs, desires & demands.
We quickly shot an excellent engagement session we were very happy with. They helped make wonderful Save The Date Cards which were loved all around. Francesca and Nichole were ready and willing to answer our questions, bounce around ideas and anything else we needed promptly and professionally. They were flexible, helpful, knowledgeable & grateful.
When the time came for our wedding, they were quick to respond with feedback and were flexible with last minute changes, an overall wonderful duo to work with. They worked with the DJ excellently as well as the wait staff to set up photo opps and they stayed later than was originally planned without a moment of hesitation.
The photos came out amazing, the photo-booth was the coolest thing that any of our guests had ever seen, it was truly a smashing hit.
The two photo albums we received were excellent, they presented us a wonderful mock up and helped us with every change we made and they came out great. The proofs were amazing, and printed out look excellent.
Francesca & Nichole with Ampersand are, in our honest opinions, the best option in the area to work with for many different reasons.
Their style, class, professionalism, work, talent, fun, and many more adjectives/nouns are the reasons we already have referred others to them and will continue for as long as they care to keep working with anyone who admits to associating with the two of us.
Their photography work is amazing, their style and attitude is refreshing & their friendship is real.
