Having heard good reviews for non veg items here so wanted to try this place for quite some time. It was Diwali and we decided to try this place as we badly wanted non veg dish with South Indian touch. From the outside it just had a printed out banner and it was a simple looking restaurant, even the menu items showcased were regular printouts. Prices were reasonable and far less compared to other restaurants. We had our doubts as it wasn't crowded but still we ordered goat Biriyani and chicken 65. Both were of sufficient quantity for both of us and taste was South Indian-ish. Goat pieces were not that fresh but we reached the place at the end of day so it was obvious I guess but the flavor of the Biriyani was really good. The guy helping with order whom I believe is the owner was very friendly and was kind enough to invite us as well for Diwali celebration at their store. BEST South Indian food in NJ.We went here just before closing on a Saturday night.We weren't sure if they'd be a able to serve us,but they did with such warmth. They did not rush us at all.For the food....Everything in the menu was tempting .We ordered parotta with chicken curry,chicken pepper fry and chicken kothu.Chicken pepper fry-Perfectly spiced and delicious.Parotta with chicken curry-The parottas were absolute perfection.The chicken curry was one of the best i have had in a while. Chicken Kothu-It was very very tasty.It comes with chicken curry and raita.The food and the service here deserve 10 stars.This is a small fast food sort of place in a food court.So do not expect any fancy seating area and waiters.Definitely worth visiting. I was in Edison to meet my friend from Ohio. I do not want to miss an opportunity to enjoy close to home food, especially with NJ being known for a prominent Indian community presence. My friend's cousin who lives in Edison, recommended this for an Authentic Tamilnadu food. He was damn right.I ordered a Non- vegetarian meals, because I can try more items as I was by myself. Food was served in banana leaves - which makes eating with hands easier and comfortable.Sambar and Vatha Kuzhambu was delicious. Staff were friendlier and courteous. Just the restaurant was located inside the mall. The lighting poster they placed on the wall of the mall doesn't stands out. The best place for spicy South Indian food lovers. We ordered Malbar fish curry (fresh fish I had in long time), pepper prawns ( perfectly cooked and seasoned, not frozen and chewy prawns u get at most places)and chicken sukka. Happy to find this gem. I would suggest to try their authentic dishes rather than Manchurian, gobi65 etc. The parking is in the back not on front of complex a note for people complaining about parking. More...

If you are looking to experience a real and authentic taste of south Indian kitchen, this is the place to try. The dishes are super fresh and are full of spices and flavor. Found this gem by accident. Went looking for Kailash Parbat which used to be at this location. Found out that it closed and the space was taken by Amma's Kitchen. Â Idli & Wada were very well made & the Sambar and Chutneys were tasty. The Idli Sambar plate had a dollop of desi ghee and was extremely good. Plain Dosa and the Mysore Dosas were well made . A special shoutout to Gautam, the owner. He was very pleasant and generous. Packed a to go pkg of wadas for my son and refused to charge us for it. Good place to dine!Great food!We had the veg thali and a few non veg dishes.. limited options but good food..The thali food was cold. . and not many tasty options for vegetarians. But was good. Non veg was good.. They need to have folks come to clear tables on a regular basis as plates kept piling up and we did not have any space to keep our filled plates. It's quiet hard to find as it's hidden in a partially empty building tucked far away from other Indian restaurants. We ended up having lunch there while doing bridal shopping for my best friend. The food here is really delicious. We ordered Chettinad Chicken Biryani, Goat Chukka, kothu parotta, and Vada. All were really good especially Goat chukka. It was well cooked and really flavorful. All came in good portion and priced well. Vada tasted like the Vada's from back home and we were definitely not disappointed. We were on our way to Anjappar, only to find out the place was closed during those hours. While on the Parkway, we quickly Yelped to find another place close to where we were. We were surprised to find out that this place was in a small mall in the area, took us a while to actually find the place. It is tucked in cozily between a small local bakery and the 'Famous samosas' place. I wanted to go find another place to eat, but now that we were there, we tried it anyway. Such an amazing surprise. Glad we stayed and decided to try. We ordered the idli vada, kothu paratha and the chicken biryani. Absolutely delicious. Loved the curry in the biryani. In the half hour, we were there, we saw at least 4 people come pick up their large catering orders. Guess this place is really popular. Their food reminded me of all my summers in Chennai.
