Charlie did such a fabulous job of photographing our wedding earlier this year! She was extremely communicative, professional and friendly right from the start and was very helpful in answering any and all of our questions that popped up throughout the planning process. We had an engagement shoot a couple of months before the wedding, which was brilliant as Charlie was able to put us both at ease (handy if you're not used to having your photo taken!) and we were able to get to know her a bit better. On the day itself, Charlie captured so many special moments for us and we have so many fun, relaxed and beautiful photos to look back on as a result. She also sent us a few preview pictures the day after, which was incredibly speedy, and it was lovely to have them to look at so soon. Thank you, Charlie! :) More...

Charlie at Amethyst Photography did the most wonderful job of our wedding photography and was absolutely amazing from start to finish. Charlie instantly put us at ease when we first met her for our engagement shoot and has supported us all the way through. We had a long list of photograph requests for the big day as well as lots of special requests, but Charlie took all this on with such enthusiasm and produced beautiful photographs that exceeded our expectations. Charlie was so discreet on the day that we hardly knew she was there. After the wedding, Charlie very promptly sent us a few photographs to share on social media and we didn’t have to wait long at all for the full album. She also sent us a highlights video edited to a lovely piece of music that really captured the atmosphere of the day. From start to finish, our experience with Charlie Garner at Amethyst Photography has been exceptional. She took care to scope out the best parts of the venue for photographs, and demonstrated a keen eye for detail throughout the day. Despite constant rain limiting the space for taking photographs, the resulting pictures were incredible. Charlie was so much fun to work with and captured so many great moments, her photographs really tell the story of our day. Listen, Charlie is the best! My boyfriend and I did a couple's photoshoot with her, and she is one of the best photographers I've ever worked with. She's easy to work with and generally lovely to be around, and she has an amazing eye that results in beautiful photos. She spent time with us talking about exactly what we were looking for, and she took some photos where she'd suggested what we do and given us silly prompts, and she took others where we got caught up in a couply moment and she just melted into the background - a perfect mix of us laughing and joyful, and really sweet and soft moments. Charlie is so good at putting people at ease, and it allowed us to have some really lovely moments that she captured so well. The photos are gorgeous! They're artistically captivating outside of how beautifully they captured us and our relationship. Believe me when I say that I show them to everyone! We had such a good time on the photo shoot with Charlie that by the time we got home, we'd already agreed that we wanted her as our wedding photographer. Both of us usually look really awkward and self-conscious in photos, but we felt completely relaxed with her, and it really shows in the pictures. Not only are they absolutely beautiful, they really capture the atmosphere of the setting, and our personalities: there are so many that we look at and say 'but that's just so us!'. My fiancé and I had an engagement shoot with Charlie a few weeks ago. We were a little nervous and thought it might be a bit awkward as we were in the middle of Oxford on a busy Sunday afternoon. However, Charlie made us feel instantly at ease with her friendly and relaxed personality. She had arrived early and planned a route for our day, picking out quieter spots that would work well for photos and finishing off in busier areas when she knew we would have relaxed into it. We had so much fun with her that he hour flew by and we have some really great, natural looking pictures of the two of us that we really like. I was really nervous about looking ridiculous or not attractive enough, and not knowing what to do for a boudoir shoot. Charlie was amazing - she put me right at ease, made sure I was okay and comfortable, and we ended up laughing for a huge amount of the shoot.
She wanted to capture me how I feel sexy or cute, in a comfortable space for me. This meant the pictures really felt like they were representative of me, and were really organic, not just me in fancy heels and 'typical' 'sexy' poses and negligee. I just wore a big comfortable shirt and ended up playing around - some of the best pictures were essentially outtakes!
I had such a great time and the final pictures are unbelievable! Thank you so much :)
