This is the first time I have visited a Tap Room and for an American airport joint, I did not have high expectations. With that being said, I stuck to the basics and ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken and it was just fine! I do want to point out that food comes out extremely fast and the service and waitresses/bartenders were fantastic. They were all extremely pleasant and attentive, even after dealing with a**holes who think that they are better than everyone and that the are owed something from the world. (Witnessed it first hand and man this guy was a jerk!!). Go ladies and keep it up!! Didn't know what to expect when I sat down and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered the dirty Caesar and an order of French fries and a double shot of Hennessy and Ginger Ale and the Bartender Waldo made my drink perfect and the Dirty Caesar my new favorite salad. Definitely a cool place to stop in

For airport cuisine this place isn't really bad. The food is quite good and the drinks were good. All at a reasonable price. My biggest problem is their chairs at the bar. I have been here three times now and always the same problem: the chairs are so tightly packed that you cannot easily get in or out. In fact with any laugage  I will simply walk past. My waitress was convivial and a through & through professional (regrettably I am unable to recall their name; otherwise I would have left a personalized thank you message). As an establishment, the American Tap Room offers a decent (3.75 / 5) assortment of beers on draft. This is a restaurant in a small airport so obviously expectations should be low. I wasn't expecting anything grand but it honestly wasn't that bad. I tried their breakfast which ends at 10:30. I had the ham and cheese omelet which came with toast and potatoes. It was cooked good, just your typical breakfast. I sat at the bar so the bartender/server was good. I did order their manmosa which was interesting. It was peppermint schnapps, orange juice and champagne. It wasn't bad but not worth the $11. Rating adjusted up because they give priority pass credit and at least 60% of diners (myself included) are getting a free meal. Service is totally accommodating, orders come up quickly - as does the check, and the food is decent. It's not amazing but stick to the pub basics, like a burger and you'll be satisfied. The job was great I loved it I became one of the most trusted and loyal cook but once the management changed the whole restaurant went downhill and they ended up closing but I did a little of everything in that restaurant for example I bar backed sometimes, ran food , host , dishwasher, and even helped do inventory for the bar and kitchen but after all that I became a stay at home dad

My first stopping here for breakfast. I'm here very early in the am and it was great to be met with a friendly face. I was surprise that the airport food was very descent. I had the vegetable omelet and it comes with potatoes and toast. They don't start serving mimosas till 6 am. Â This restaurant was directly across from my gate so a double win. The American Tap Room is across the street from our office, so my coworkers and I go there for lunch often. The food is good, and the prices were reasonable in comparison to other restaurants in the Reston Town Center (except ATR recently raised their prices). But what really keeps us coming back is Christine. She greets us like we are her long, lost friends, Â and she makes us feel comfortable and welcome every time. Christine at American Tap Room is absolutely wonderful. She is always incredibly helpful and charming, and when she helped me with a small networking event for work, it went perfectly. I travel almost every week through this airport and this terminal. As a Priority Pass member it's an incredible perk to have this restaurant as a "lounge" option. Each and every staff member greats me with a smile and provides great service every week. Saron goes above and beyond, offering me "the usual?" while making small talk. I would rarely consider giving 5 stars to an airport restaurant, but I had a stellar experience here today! Part of my pre-flight ritual is to enjoy a Bloody Mary (or 2! ) and get a grilled cheese. Its basically like an adult grilled cheese with tomato soup haha! This can be tricky sometimes because most places only have the grilled cheese on their kids menu and if your lucky enough to find it, it's typically not hearty and pretty plain... not here my friends! The American Tap Room not only let me order my grilled cheese off the kids menu, but it came on multigrain bread with seeds! Lots of gooey cheese that paired perfectly with their house made bloody! I was a bit skeptical, but the bartender said he made the bloody mix himself earlier this morning.... it was REALLY GOOD! Perfect amount of savory with spice! I had to order 2!
