Five Stars all the way! I highly recommend American Black Belt Academy. They have an excellent fitness program with classes in the mornings and evenings. MARIO CORE TRAINING
My 10 year old son is enrolled in the after school program and he and I couldn’t be happier with ABBA. My son is currently a brown belt in Kenpo Karate, and he is learning the fine art kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu taught by an excellent role model Mr. Chris LoVarco.

Just had my sons 6 yo birthday party here and he loved it. The staff was friendly and helpful. Location was very clean. Plenty of parking. The instructors were great. I can't tell you how this place has changed my life. I was not physically active until I came here. I fell in love with the entire program they offer. I take the American Kenpo class, cardio kickboxing class, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class. I am in the best shape I have ever been in my life and have developed great relationships with my coaches and training partners. The expertise of the staff is unsurpassable. All the instructors take the time to work with you and make sure you succeed and move forward in any class you take. American Nlack Belt Academy is an excellent place for your child or children to leave Kickboxjng, JuiJitsu, Karate weapons, etc. The staff are very friendly, nice,caring and respectable people. It is a family owned business the owners are excellent people. American Black Belt has been around for a very long time. They also offer adult classes after school and they have a summer camp and child care. I can't say anything bad about this place. I love ❤️ love love it. My son loves the staff and loves attending classes. He takes theee classes and loves them all. He had a great time tbthw summer camp also. Before we came the American Black Belt we searched for other schools, but they didn't offer what we wanted and the atmosphere was not very welcoming. Great place for your kids to learn and have fun. My son began at 3.5 years old and is not 6. Totally loves it, teachers are awesome as well as owner. Not only a great karate place but great for building balance and concentration, helps with other future sports as well. Highly recommend! The wife does kickboxing there as well and thats awesome too! I had joined ABBA back in early 2012 and it's been one of the best experiences ever. Many of the reviews so far have been catered around their children's programs, however I attend their adult classes and find them to be excellent. Both Mr. Chris and Mr. Dan are top notch instructors whom teach the Kenpo curriculum, however adding in an occasional mix of MMA and Krav Maga. Each week the classes touch upon different techniques and skills, which keep everything interesting since the classes are never the same twice.Not only are you learning self defense and getting a great workout, it's also fun and a great experience. The classes fly by and as I'm leaving for the night, I am looking forward to the next class.The entire LoVarco family is exactly that- 'Family' Everyone is always super nice and willing to take the time to answer a question or have a quick chat. They care about their students and it instantly shows.If you are looking for an excellent karate school on Long Island, don't go to one of the chains, make sure you check out ABBA!
