I had the pleasure of being able to work with Lisa Robertson in her master class through Jess. It was hands down one of the most powerful experiences I’ve had in a long time. Lisa was such a joy to listen to and her innate ability to express emotion through breathing and motion was incredible. Jess invited me to participate in a workshop with incredible casting director Marci Liroff after we connected at the Australians in Film Gala. It wasn't the best week financially or time-wise for me, and I was already burned out... BUT I AM SO GLAD I WENT! Stars aligned and it was clear the universe wanted me there. I learned so much, rose to the challenge, chose to work on a piece out of my comfort zone and it all paid off. Marci was incredibly generous with her time, her energy and her knowledge, imparting as much knowledge and resources as she could on to us. I would highly recommend if another one with Marci pops up, actors jump at the chance. Thank you for thinking of me Jess, and for working through the $$ side with me too! xx More...

To say AAFTA LA was a life changing experience would be a complete understatement. The growth both personally and professionally over the ten week program was enormous for me. I had high expectations and they were all, to be simply put, tremendously exceeded. The program is extremely well put together and it was obvious from day one how well respected Jess Orcsik and her company are over there in the industry. The teachers, connections and content were simply second to none. I have been in the industry for many years in Australia, trained at numerous institutions and all I can say is that I wish I had done this course sooner! It was the most challenging and rewarding three months of my life. If you’re even in the slightest considering acting as a career then I would with the utmost confidence recommend you to book on to the next LA Experience program ASAP. This course is so valuable and is something every actor should really invest the time in. I’ve done this course three times now and their isn’t one time where it has ever felt like I wasn’t learning anything new or growing. Every time I grew as a performer. As side from the course the people you meet and work with everyday is just incredible and it’s an experience that not everyone will get to do. I recently completed the Presser-Wells Casting Director 3 week workshop and I can say it was by far the most thorough and rewarding workshop of its kind I have done! It was able to both nurture and challenge participants and we therefore a growth environment for novice and professional actors alike.
