Amanda has carried out a number of family portraits providing us with quality lasting memories, thanks Amanda.
She also photographed a family wedding and I would recommend her highly, the pictures were outstanding.

Amanda Earwell of AJE photography undertook the entire shoot for my wedding day. I felt the whole process was done in a firm but friendly manner where all the required poses were complete while still letting guests enjoy the day. Its never easy ensuring that family of the bride etc are not kept waiting for the correct groupings. My wife and I were delighted with the end product and now have a full record of shots as well as a disc. More...

My husband and I knew as soon as we met Amanda that we wanted her to photograph our wedding. She was friendly and welcoming and seemed genuinely interested in our plans for the day. On the day itself she did not disappoint, and was unobtrusive during the ceremony and meal; efficient and quick during the group photographs; and good at putting us at our ease during the portraits. The results speak for themselves: some absolutely beautiful formal posed photographs; and some great reportage images of our family and friends having a blast! We have had lots of compliments on the photographs from friends and family. More...

Q&As

There is no secret as you can approach photography in many ways, but I have found that patience will give you strong images time & time again. This could be in a studio with many people, and you have to be able to stand-back (metaphorically) and question if you are getting the best shot for the situation, or it could be out on the street where you are both poised and patient; ready to press the shutter at the decisive moment!

What they hope to achieve, so we can work together on finding solutions and creating great images.

Lots! Mostly the people I get to meet and the places I get to go. You can learn a lot from being a freelancer as you have to be very adaptable!

Photography came first, business later - it is default of being a photographer that you are most likely going to work for yourself. Good job I am very self-motivated!

I think they should choose me for my relaxed nature, and my creativity. I am a good problem solver and calm under pressure. Most people enjoy my company, and I take awesome photographs!
