First time in Syracuse, decided to try this place out. I got the jerk chicken burrito, and it was amazing. The people I was with really enjoyed their food as well (super vegan burrito and especially the catfish burrito). Don't go expecting fast food, but know that your meal will be worth the wait. Every time I come back to Syracuse I make a stop at Alto Cinco for their catfish burrito. The spicy chipotle mayo on top is delicious and the fried catfish is just perfect. Alto Cinco has definitely been a regular favorite of mine for over a decade. I love their crispy tofu burrito with dairy (pictured). They have $5 nacho specials and margaritas on Mondays which is great because their large nacho size has gotten smaller of the years with an increase in price, which is to be expected. Their Mexican pizza is also delicious, although it did used to be larger. It has a cilantro garlic pesto as the sauce and is topped with cheese, pickled onions, roasted red bell peppers and pickled jalapenos. Absolutely delicious! More...

Ordered take out via Grubhub. The California Burrito was generous and nicely wrapped. The meal left me satisfied and full without that dreaded heavy feeling. Generally a sign of quality ingredients. The Mexican grapefruit soda was quite good along with the cornbread and chips on the side. Two cons: 1. The food was a tad cold. 2. I have been to this place many times and finally decided to review it. This Mexican restaurant is the best place to eat for me at Westcott Street. There are other restaurants next to this but this is kinda my fav!! It has great ambiance and outdoor seating so I find myself enjoying the dim candle night dinner one day or a Taco Tuesday on a good evening of some other day. They have a lot of vegetarian options available and the waitress is kind enough to suggest to us their best veg dishes. I love their lime Jarritos a lot and happen to reorder that every time I visit. There is a decent selection of food and drink including several vegan options like nachos with vegan crema, a tostada, 2 different burritos, crispy tofu tingas, and a few entree plates. They also have great specials including Vegan Wednesdays with $5 vegan burritos and excellent vegan dinner plates available after 5pm.
