Really enjoyable day!

I was initially really nervous, as I really usually hate pictures of myself but it was a really enjoyable, relaxed day! Felt at ease having the pictures done and a really good laugh with my best friends!

My wife and I came in on 3rd January for an Anniversary Shoot as we both entered a Facebook competition and I won. The day I spent at Alt Studio with ace photographer Simon and makeup/hair magician Molly was so much fun and such a huge confidence boost that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the experience to anyone. I was a little nervous when I arrived but I was quickly put at ease and it soon felt like hanging out with a couple of friends, one of whom just happened to be REALLY good at all things hair and makeup and the other would occasionally point a camera at you and tell you how to stand. I can guarantee that you will never have looked better in your life and the photos that Simon gets are so beautiful and well shot that you will treasure them forever. I can't thank Simon and Molly enough for making the day so special for me and for all their hard work and encouragement. Having seen the gorgeous photos on alt studio's facebook and instagram page, my friend Samantha and I were excited every day leading up to our shoot - and we were not disappointed. Simon was extremely friendly and made us feel at ease (and even put up with my very good sense of humour), as well as taking the time to direct every shot for us as well as changing the lighting, background and providing props multiple times. Lynn, the hair and makeup artist gave us exactly what we asked for and was very friendly and personable. Had a great first time at the studio, Simon was a good laugh and put me to ease straight away. Rhian (sorry if i spelt it wrong) did a fab job on my hair and make up and was lovely.

What a brilliant experience. My 4 friends and me spent a fantastic day being made to feel like 50’s movie stars. The make up and clothes were amazing and Simon was fantastic at putting us all at ease and giving us great direction. The photos are stunning, Simon you are an amazing photographer!
So if it’s a girly day out, a family get together or a special date for two I would highly recommend this experience. It’s fab and fun plus the pictures will make you smile for years to come. More...

Just got back from a 1950’s pinup/rockabilly photo shoot I won through Facebook. Me and my boyfriend traveled all the way the Manchester, not really knowing what to expect, I was so nervous at first but was soon settled and made to feel like a pro! Me and my husband nervously went to alt studio and within 2 minutes of meeting Simon and make up artist Lynn we were relaxed and laughing. The day was amazing and I was treated like a princess! The makeup and hair was stunning and the photos blew me away. It was so relaxed and comfortable, it was impossible to feel anxious. Simon directed us, I thought I would feel silly, but I didn't. He was s professional and friendly. Me and my husband found it romantic and intimate and it's definitely brought a cheeky glow back into us. My daughter booked this Pinup/Rockabilly experience. I was sceptical as we attended another back in Jan with another company that was very disappointing. However, what a day! A fantastic experience, Jess our make up artist was great (I rarely wear makeup so she made me up looking natural, whereas my daughter wanted to go "all out glam!" - she listened to what we wanted and went with it. Simon was amazing, put us both at ease, I was dreading the photo shoot as I hate to see photos of myself and thought I would feel really silly and self conscious, I couldn't of been more wrong.... I can honestly say there was not one photo I could find fault with, loved them all, totally amazing. If you are thinking of doing this, this is the place to go.
