Allied Dog Training never ceases to amaze me. And I say this based on my 45 years training dogs. Simply the best is an understatement.

Allied Dog Training is my number 1 go to for my personal dogs and most importantly the dogs I save with my rescue Town & Country K9 ResQ LTD. I primarily save pits from city shelters. Some with bite histories and many who have been long term residents of a city shelter. Diane and staff are compassionate and caring. They provide rules, structure and boundaries and provide clear evaluations as to what home the rescue dog should go to. Every dog that has gone through training has a lifetime commitment for handling lessons to the adopters. The facility is clean and well run. If you have an issue with your dog this is the place to turn too, You will not be disappointed. Five stars. More...

Our dog was seriously out of control and anxious- biting herself, fur discolored, prey driven, barking... need I say more? At Allied 10 days, spent over 2 hrs there yesterday, learning from Diane who has unsurpassed skills and compassion. Lia was calmer, obedient and her fur looks better. She is clearly gaining confidence and the ability to function better in life. We have a ways to go but we're confident that she will be a better dog and we will be better handlers. Thank you Diane. Sending our boy Charlee to Allied Dog Training is the best decision we ever made for him and we couldn't be happier with his transformation. Thanks to Diane and her team, he now walks perfectly by our side (no more pulling!), is able to hold the "place" command even when he hears the doorbell and doesn't react to squirrels anymore! I should also mention that Charlee doesn't warm up to new people easily but loved everyone at Allied Dog Training. Diane also spent a generous amount of time teaching us to be better leaders for Charlee and we are very grateful to have the skills to provide a more structured life for him with rules and boundaries. She continues to help us fine tune any issues that arise and her advice is always spot on. We would highly recommend Allied Dog Training to anyone, they truly are the most skilled team of trainers out there. Two paws up from our Charlee as well!! More...

I just started fostering a dog that was trained by Diane and her team and am blown away by the beautiful obedient dog that I am blessed to spend time with and nurture. It is because of her training and discipline approach taught by Allied that Demi is the responsive, loving and respectful pup that she is. I am in love with this dog because of the way she responds and obeys commands, in addition to the loving demeanor and many kisses she gives. Thank you Thank you Thank you Allied!! You guys are aswesome!!! More...

Diane and her team are the best. She's smart, patient, dedicated and always there for follow up questions. I sent my rescue pit/lab for a week at the farm while I was away. In the short time he was in Diane's hands, he learned so much. He's more relaxed in the house, sits in "place" while we cook dinner, relaxes at my feet while I'm working.

Diane works with the owners to give them the tools they need to continue their dog's education at home. She's really unparalleled. I can't say enough about how much she's helped.

Our dogs were at Allied Dog Training for 5 weeks. At first we were nervous about sending our two dogs. Diane and her team are absolutely amazing. They are all so patient and kind. Each time we were there we learned so much. There was always an improvement in our dogs.

We just took them home today and we were able to keep them in 'place' while we ate lunch. We were able to walk them without any pulling or barking. We have a long way to go, but we are very happy and know we can have a better life with our dogs now that Diane gave us the knowledge and tools to be great leaders.

Thank you to all at Allied Dog Training. We love you guys!

Eli was a very high strung, anxious German Shepherd. He was rescued at 3 months old from an Amish puppy mill breeding camp. He was going to be murdered because he was born with no tail. Fast forward 3 years and we lost control of the genetic mess he was and our anxiety was making his behavior worse.....X 10.
We took Eli to Diane and her staff at Allied. We have been home 2 days and he is doing incredible. Life is good! He still tries to challenge authority but is immediately corrected and put on place and turns himself off. Thanks to Diane, we now have the tools to continue making this great animal.....greater! We have no words to thank her and her staff for all the love and kindness they showed Eli and for giving us the tools to continue making this beautiful animal better and better every day.

Q&As

We love dogs and being able to work with them every day is great. We enjoy being able to help owners understand their dogs, better communicate with them and how to make their relationships better. Helping both people and dogs is one one of the best things about being a trainer.

After apprenticing and working at my mentor's for over two years it was time to branch off on my own and be able to offer more services to clients and help more people.

We go above and beyond to help dogs and their owners. Every dog that walks through our door is treated with respect and give the attention and dedication that we give to our own dogs. We offer lifetime support to our clients and so even after their dog is trained we are always here to help them should issues arise.

Services

Our 4 week long board and train program is great for clients whose busy schedule doesn’t afford them the time needed to fully train their dog. Our obedience program includes all the basic commands: Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Place, Climb, Leash manners/Loose Leash Walking, Heel, and Leave It. We will also address small behavioral issues such as jumping, nipping, excessive barking etc. Upon completion your dog will be able to perform all these commands both on and off leash and in high level distractions. During your dogs stay they will receive several training sessions through out the day, walks, and play sessions with the trainer. This program also includes a once a week handling lesson with the owner where we will train you on how to handle your dog and work as team.

This program is a 5, 6 or more week long board and train program and is designed for dogs who are displaying problematic behaviors such as fear aggression, dog aggression, aggression towards strangers, dominant behavior, resource guarding etc. Just like our 4 week long program your dog will learn all the basic commands and be able to perform them both on and off leash and in high level distractions. Once the obedience portion of the program is complete we will begin to work on rehabilitating your dogs aggressive behavior. Besides handling lessons with the owner, we will work on rebuilding your relationship with your dog, teach you how to become a good pack leader, and educate you on canine culture so that you as an owner can better understand your dog.

All of our In-Kennel programs come with free lifetime support and you never run out of handling lessons.

Private lessons are designed for those dog/owner teams who may need a little extra one on one time with the trainer, or whose schedule doesn’t quite fit our group classes. It also suits dogs who may have some behavioral issues that don’t allow for them to learn in a group setting such as aggression. Private lessons are ideal for obedience training, preventing and dealing with behavioral problems, and aggression rehab. These 1 hour long sessions are held at our training facility, are tailored specifically for you and your dogs needs, and can be scheduled at your convenience.
