Small and intimate, it takes the social anxiety out of learning a language. I have had really positive experiences with the teachers providing one to one tuition. Attending lessons actually feels like a treat! More...

I'm thoroughly enjoying my conversation classes with Claire. She is so encouraging, and inspires me to develop and improve my spoken French. Claire introduces many different types of activities, which makes the classes so engaging. Karen, June 2018 More...

My daughter has really improved her skills and built up her confidence since attending one to one lessons to support her GCSE at school.

I had a fantastic experience at Alliance Française. The fluency and ease of my spoken French really improved, the location was convenient and easy for me to get to, and I gained a much broader appreciation of French culture and politics. I'd particularly like to thank Charlotte for all the help she gave me. More...

I found the French language course that I took recently was really interesting & enjoyable, although I did find it hard at times to take all the information in as I'm probably only at A1 level and would need more lessons to truly benefit from it.
You get given tasks to do including speaking, listening, reading, writing and interacting with the other students.
Note pad books are provided and the teacher I had was very good at explaining things.
All in all it was an enjoyable experience.

The Anchor next door is also a great place for a pint after lessons. More...
