About

I only do in-home private lessons. I have taught group classes but find that I do not have enough time to properly instruct everyone and spend time with each parent. I teach basic obedience for all ages. I teach behaviors such as sit, down, stay, leave it, take it, no jumping on guests, loose leash walking and heel.

Debbie is the best basic dog trainer and has saved my puppy (now 1 1/2 yearsl) from potential accidents. Bailey (my dog) can sit, stay, and if she gets out of the house, I just call her "emergency" name, and she will come running. Also, if Bailey picks up something in her mouth, I just tell her the secret word, and she obeys. I am so grateful for Debbie, and HIGHLY recommend her. Thank you Debbie!! 5 Stars!! I recommend the 5 session package, and at the end of the training, Debbie gives a lil graduation party! So much fun! More...

Debbie is literally a dream dog trainer. She comes to your home and saves your life with her training. My little puppy, who is only four months now, can sit, stay, come, look, go down, do off and we're also working on leash training etc. She personalizes each session to the needs of your dog and helps you develop a great bond with your animal. I am SO HAPPY and grateful to have worked with Debbie. She is really helping our naughty puppy behave and the training is fun! We got the five-session package. The bonus with Debbie, is that she is on hand, you can call her or text her with any question whatsoever and she'll get back to you REALLY quickly, making my experience as a first-time dog owner so much easier. It is a true blessing to have a compassionate ally there to help you navigate through some tricky parts of puppy parenthood. Anyway, FIVE STARS to the maximum, a million stars, this woman is amazing and does great work. More...

Q&As

I love dogs. I love to see the difference dog training makes in the lives of these dogs as well as their parents. My goal is to engage everyone in the family and teach them how to train their dog.

We adopted a dog for my Mom. Cleo had so many behavior issues I knew if we returned her to the shelter she would be euthanized. I decided to become a dog trainer. I signed up with Animal Behavior College and completed written assignments as well as a 6-week mentor program and 10 volunteer hours at an animal shelter. I also work in dog and cat rescue and it is very satisfying to see these animals go to their forever home.

Most dogs end up in the shelter because of behavior issues. I keep my prices low so that the training is affordable for most families. I take pride in my work so also I sell sessions based on 1 hour, I often times stay a bit longer to ensure all questions are answered.

The most important thing in dog training is for everyone to have fun!

I am fully vaccinated and get boosters as they are released so I don't routinely wear masks. However, if a client requests it, I am happy to wear them. If I know or believe I've been exposed to Covid I always text my students to see if they would like to postpone.
