Went to this with 10 others from work as part of a team building day. It was a fantastic experience. Alix and her team were very helpful and everyone enjoyed the demos and then it was a great time preparing the meals! My favorite dish we made was the Vietnamese caramel chicken. It was absolutely delicious, followed closely by the Pavlova Roulade, which was fantastic, especially with the raspberries.I would definitely recommend anyone considering going to book it! More...

I had a most wonderful time on the course. The staff and content (knowledge and food) were well prepared, presented and ensured we could repeat the meals at home or in the future. It also gave us the confidence to 'have a go' and even try taking a menu and following it successfully. I've taken more than one course with Alix. The classes are relaxed and easygoing and I now bake with confidence... still using Alix's recipes. Being unsure about flavours and some basics I returned and fried fish for the first time and then moved on and up to Asian flavours. Myself and Karen did a 4 night Baking skills course with Alix. We both can really recommend it - great recipes, thorough demonstrations and individual coaching from Alix. The class size was about 8. Everyone got a vote as to what delights to bake and Alix accommodated all as much as possible. I was a novice while others already had the basics but everyone advanced their skills for sure. Myself and three friends recently finished the "Simple Suppers" cookery course at Alix's school and we all found it brilliant! The classes were very relaxed and Alix was excellent at explaining the different techniques and making sure each of us understood what we were doing. We all had varying levels of experience in the kitchen before beginning the course but each of us learned many different cooking techniques and finished the course with some delicious recipes that we've all said we'll be able to use again and again. It was great to have the cookery classes to look forward to each week and we're all hoping to return again for another set of classes towards the end of the summer. I would definitely recommend the school to anyone interested in learning or improving their cooking in a relaxed and friendly environment. More...
